Shared bathroom was difficult as a member had mobility issues ( he has hurt himself after I booked) but as always a lovely stay and staff are amazing

The finest staff and food you’ll ever encounter!

Beyond excellent food and service. I have stayed in some excellent hotels but never have I had better food or service. The people in this hotel exuded kindness and hospitality.

The room was tiny, the bed needed a new mattress badly. There was no public lounge area except the restaurant. The staff welcomed people to the pub area for lounging, however. While space is wanting, perhaps a couple of couches at the front of the restaurant and a couple of comfortable chairs on the stair landings could suffice.

Stayed at this hotel before! LOVE the location! But such a disappointing breakfast! My daughter couldn’t eat hers at all as it was covered in salt! Surely salt is added personally to your acquired taste! Also no fruit to go with the yogurts! SO disappointed!

Great Hotel

Great Family run Hotel. I had personal issues to attend to in Stonehaven so the Hotel was perfect for my purposes whilst being well placed to get into Aberdeen by train. Staff were very helpfull, food was good for breakfast and in the Hotel Lounge bar, no complaints at all.

Very comfortable bed and immaculately clean room. Windows actually open fully to give fresh air! Very nice breakfasts with ample portions. Very good value for money. Convenient for train station (right next door). Situated at the top of town within short (but steep) walking distance to Stonehaven town Center and sea front. Hotel in a pub downstairs which serves very nice good value food (especially fish which is fresh and caught locally).

No USB charger points in room. Wasn’t shown to room (just pointed in the general direction of the stairs); Staff very young and appear disinterested especially when bar is open and pub food being served. Education and training needed on standard curtesy for the young workforce. I wanted to book a table but was told by young member of staff they were fully booked. I explained I was a resident of the hotel and was begrudgingly “fitted in”. But my reserved table was occupied and I was placed on another table flanked by other clients, which made me feel uncomfortable. I was travelling on my own and would have preferred a table for one away from the main concourse.
