Station Hotel Stonehaven

The Staff were outstanding with us, helped us with recipes to recommend what would suit our needs best and they were correct, room was spotless and beds were incredibly comfortable so great sleep was got by both of us over our stay, the food was of the highest standards from Breakfasts to Dinner and a very full menu to suit anyone's tastes well cooked meals and great portions so you knew you had eaten a meal. The Station Hotel Stonehaven, is s very lovely place to stay whilst in Stonehaven, we travelled by train so when you arrive in Stonehaven you simply go off platform via underpass and Hotel is roughly 200 yards in front of station office superb train service makes holiday even better, cannot praise Station Hotel enough for a great long weekend break.

If you did not have a car, getting into town centre entailed at least a 20 min walk which as pensioners with mobility problems was a non runner for us both, however if you have good walking and or a car the hotel is perfect as it is out of the busy town centre allowing a peaceful and friendly stay.

Bed extremely comfortable. Excellent cooked breakfast and good selection on breakfast buffet. Very reasonable bar prices. Shared shower room was spotless and well stocked with toiletries. Staff helpful and friendly.

As in most places it would be nice to have some background music or radio playing at a low volume in the breakfast area.

Good breakfast would have liked some berries with my cereal/yogurt. Good coffee'

There was nothing not to like.

Nice staff and clean room.

Small room, not really suitable for working with laptops and poor Wifi.
