Lily Bank Room

Great location for us. The room was clean. The shower is huge in a good way. Appreciate the teacakes and chilled bottled water. The check-out time is 10am, but the owner kindly let us stay till 11am, as booking hasn’t updated the check-out time.

We found the bed incredibly uncomfortable, almost rock solid. I genuinely had to check if we’re perhaps sleeping on something that’s meant to have a mattress topper, as the mattress itself was very thin. It has to be the firmest bed I’ve ever slept on and I woke up with back and hip pain, and I’m in my early 30s! The room has no openable windows - just one glazed door, which you’d have to leave open overnight if you wanted fresh air. There’s no way to make the room pitch black at night, as the transom above the door has no blind on it. I’m personally not a fan of coloured and patterned bedding for commercial guest rooms - I would prefer plain white bedding. The owners have displayed paintings, glassware and jewellery for sale in the already compact room. The artwork is lovely, but can be quite overwhelming - it’s a lot going on…

Easy entry

The bed is too short for anyone over 6 feet.

Beata was extremely helpful and welcoming. Lovely room with a big bathroom and great shower.
