Very comfortable, clean and convenient, light and bright in day, quiet at night, and loved being right on the beach. Excellent heating; temperature outside went down to zero centigrade but was warm and snug inside. Some beautiful sunrises were a bonus! David who runs the property, was kind and responsive, available if needed but also respectful of personal space. He even bought me a hot water bottle when I asked if there was one available...

Location was great
Our stay at the Bayview Bed and Breakfast was adequate overall, but a few things made it less enjoyable than we’d hoped. The room was fine for a short stay, and the small kitchen had a microwave, can opener, and knives, which was useful — though oddly, no chopping board, which made preparing meals quite difficult.
Unfortunately, communication with the host was disappointing. After sending several messages about the heating (the radiator and towel rack didn’t work), we received no response. As overseas travellers without local phone access, we relied on Booking.com messaging and found the lack of reply quite frustrating.
There was also only about a quarter roll of toilet paper provided, with no extra supply, which seemed a bit careless. We asked if we could use one of the nearby parking spaces (there appeared to be several empty ones), but never received an answer.
Overall, the stay was fine but lacked the warmth and attention to detail we’ve experienced at other B&Bs. With a little more responsiveness and care, it could be much better.
