Compared with the rating on booking the room was really disappointing

We had a room close to the pool separately from the house. The view from the room was nice and the fact that we were separated from main property.

The room close to the swimming pool looked for us as a kind of improvisation…there was no proper bathroom with proper sink. We had to use the improvised “kitchen sink” within the room to wash our teeth. Bad was not nice and neither comfortable. The whole room was an improvisation for receiving guests. We believe that with some investment that room can be done really nice, considering the position and the view.

Absolutely brilliant

We had a such an amazing stay at Villa Tourelle. Sonja, the host was absolutely brilliant - she was so warm and friendly and we had such lovely chats. She gave us fantastic recommendations on food and drinks and went out of her way to make our stay very enjoyable. We really felt very comfortable in her wonderful home. Our room was very cosy and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast by the pool every morning. We highly recommend staying at this place!

Just a lovely place to stay in a beautiful town we didn't know of before.

It was a delightful place. The hosts were very accommodating and changed our room when I told them I couldn't manage the two flights of stairs to the attic room. The bedroom was very comfortable and the room had some interesting books and magazines placed for your reading. We were just passing through on our way to UK from Italy but a lovely place to stay for a few days and explore the town and region. We ate in the town, lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. A pretty historic town. Breakfast was adequate to start the day, ate out by the pool. Parking available on the road outside or 2-3 spaces at the property.

Check in could do with being a bit earlier. We ended up eating before arriving then spent rest of evening at property.

Best B&B in Dinan

Perfect location to go to old medieval town Dinan. (less than 10 min by walk) Parking space inside the gate. (Need to reserve) Breakfast was simple, but tastful. They have 4 guest rooms. 3 rooms in 2nd floor have a private jacuzzi (big size for couple). 1 room in ground pool side has a Sauna (usually longterm rental). We stayed in 2nd floor room with castle view. Room has a multiful floor (living room & bathroom downstairs, bedroom upstairs). Steps are little bit too steep, but it wasn't that big deal even for seniors like us. We enjoyed jaccuzi very much. Owner has a very high sense of artistic taste to decorate whole house. First of all, the owners (Sonja & her husband, including their goddaughter Silva) have some kind of characters (so pleasant & thoughtful) for us to feel like staying at close friend's house. *They own local Beer & Cognac Brewery, and shared some with my husband. He had a really pleasant time and bought a bottle of 65 yrs old very special cognac at a good price. ^^ Thank you all~ ! We'll have a good memory for a long time~~!! Young & Sue from New York

Friendly, comfortable guest house with charming,hospitable host.

Privately run guest house with 4 rooms. Pool house was pleasant, attractively decorated, in garden with own terrace, though it was a bit cold to swim. Kitchenette is handy with own fridge and kettle for morning tea. Stayed for 2 nights at the end of a week’s apartment rental by the sea near St. Malo. Nice fresh, simple breakfast and owner accommodating about times, later on Sunday morning, early on our departure date to catch morning ferry from St Malo. Owner very friendly and helpful. Easy walk into town. Was useful to be able to park our very loaded car inside their electric gate.

Pool house shower facilities do need updating to give more space but owner has plans to do this. Lacked comfortable armchairs indoors but we brought the terrace chairs inside when it was too cool to sit out. Was initially difficult to find as we had assumed it would look more like a hotel but it is in fact a private house on a quiet, residential street.

I wish I never had to leave!

I wish I never had to leave! Sonja is the warmest and most welcoming host ever. The house is marvelous and curated in the details, you're surrounded by beauty and so much taste for the whole stay. The jacuzzi in the room and the garden with swimming pool are wonderful additions. Dinan itself is a pearl and great base to explore the area. Highly recommended!

A perfect 10

Besides the fact that Dinan, a rather small but charming city with an excellent choice of restaurants, is a great base to explore the area, the Villa Tourelle will surely not disappoint even the most demanding. Just outside the old city in an absolutely quiet street, the house is beautiful and the rooms very comfy and tastefully decorated, excellent sleep guaranteed. The hosts will make you feel at home in no time and a great breakfast will be served in your room every morning.

Excellent stay

We booked a last minute overnight stay at Villa tourelle in Dinan. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess in her beautiful home. The hostess is very attentive and takes extra care about the Covid measures, making everyone feel welcome and at ease right away. Our room had it all: lots of space, a wonderful bubble bath and a beautiful view. The location is ideal, parking is free in the street or you can park on the property if there’s room. You are within walking distance of the old town where there are numerous restaurants. The hostess gave us some tips and tricks. There was also nothing missing from our delicious breakfast! For us it was the perfect balance between privacy and the warmth of a B&B. We would definitely stay at Villa Tourelle again and recommend it to young and old!

Zona molt tranquil-la i fàcil d'aparcar. Ben situada per anar al centre a peu. Esmorzar molt correcte i l'espai de la casa molt agradable. La Sonja ens va donar molt bons consells per visitar la zona.

L'habitació molt petita i molt petit el lavabo. El decoració bé però no és funcional. No hi ha armari.

Desde el primer momento, la anfitriona y todo el personal hicieron todo lo posible por atender nuestras necesidades, incluso sin compartir el mismo idioma. Su amabilidad, disposición y esfuerzo constante por ayudarnos marcaron la diferencia y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. El alojamiento está muy bien ubicado, en una zona accesible y cómoda para moverse. Todo estaba limpio, ordenado y bien preparado para nuestra llegada. Sin duda, una experiencia muy positiva que recomendaría a cualquier viajero que valore el trato humano y la buena ubicación.

Hay algunos aspectos que podrían mejorarse para mayor comodidad. La decoración, aunque refleja claramente la pasión de la anfitriona, resulta algo recargada, lo que dificulta encontrar espacios libres para dejar objetos personales. Sería útil contar con un armario con perchas o superficies despejadas en la habitación. El jacuzzi es un valor añadido, pero su acceso es algo incómodo y puede generar inseguridad, especialmente al no contar con una ducha fija o soporte para la alcachofa. Además, al estar en una segunda planta sin ascensor, puede resultar poco accesible para algunas personas. En resumen, una experiencia muy positiva gracias al trato humano, con algunos detalles que, si se ajustan, harían la estancia aún más confortable.
