The location, the staff, the cleanliness all brilliant, we’ve stayed here several times & will definitely be staying again.
There’s no evening meals but plenty of restaurants & cafes very nearby.

Location
No water bottles in room, paper cups to drink from and only 2, very basic breakfast, the whole experience of our stay was very basic from what it used to be.

The room was very comfortable and quiet, and the shared spaces relaxing and welcoming. the staff were particularly welcoming and helpful
Our sat nav took us to the opposite side of the canal, and it took us a bit of exploring to get down to the hotel car park, It might be worth checking the last bit of the route on a map before travelling.

The room was a reasonable size with a pleasant view. Spacious bathroom and good shower. Nice hotel entrance and friendly staff.
Prior to our arrival, we completed a form which was supposed to avoid the check in process and allow swift access to our room. However, we still spent 5-10 mins at reception going through formalities which included them insisting they take 120 euros from our debit card in case we had drinks or breakfast, neither of which we intended to do. (Breakfast was a crazy 20 euros each.)
In the room, the carpet was marked in multiple places and the room overall felt a little dated. Only a bedside table on one side of the double bed; not sure what the other person is supposed to do. The bathroom was a little dark due to insufficient lighting. The coffee and tea making facilities were minimal.
