Hotel - Teranea City Hvar

The front desk staff was very helpful and just made me feel relaxed throughout my stay. Pools were nice, views were amazing, food was great, WiFi worked well too. This hotel is at the top of the hill so if you have luggage get a taxi for arrival :)

Exceptionally clean rooms with a terrace. Breakfast was really nice with a decent size pool. Air conditioning was great considering the high August heat.

The location. It’s located within 17-20 min walk from the harbour and steep hills

The property has a lot of potential, but it would benefit from much more attention to detail and overall maintenance. The rooms were spacious enough and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing and fell well below expectations.

Cleanliness was a major issue. Even after housekeeping, there was visible dirt and debris on the floor, and there were stains in the bathroom. The tap water smelled strongly of chlorine, and the pool water did too, making it quite unpleasant. For a four-star hotel, the amenities were surprisingly poor. There were no proper drinking glasses in the room, only disposable plastic cups, which were not even replaced every day. There was also no kettle, something I would normally expect at this level. Parking was another significant problem. There are clearly far too few parking spaces for the number of rooms, so if you arrive later, you may have to look for parking elsewhere, which is very inconvenient. The breakfast was very basic, with limited choice and overall disappointing quality. One member of our group requires a gluten-free diet, but there were virtually no suitable gluten-free options available, which was particularly disappointing for a hotel of this category. Overall, considering the price, the value for money is poor. The hotel has potential, but in its current state it falls well short of what you would expect from a four-star property.

We had a comfortable stay at Hotel Teranea. The rooms are nicely decorated and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay.

The hotel was not what we expected from the photos. Breakfast was below average with the hot food minimal and it feeling a little like a school canteen. However, the experience that ruined it for us was an encounter with a rude member of staff who tutted, shook her head and then laughed at us when we asked if there was anywhere to shower after checkout, as we had a long journey ahead of us that evening. This made us feel very uncomfortable after paying for a three night stay and never asking for anything else, so unfortunately this tainted our experience (the guy however who checked us in was lovely and we could not fault him). Overall, in our opinion this is more like a three star hotel.
