Beautiful hotel in Hvar

We were originally booked at the smaller sister hotel. We were informed that they were closing for the season and they moved us to this hotel and upgraded our room. It was a great surprise to have such a beautiful room and a gorgeous view with a balcony. The staff were very helpful and even went above and beyond in helping us navigate to a different ferry when ours was cancelled due to wavy conditions. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were exceptional. We really enjoyed our stay.

Prosecco upon arrival! The staff were super friendly, cheerful and helpful. Perfect location with lovely views. Was upgraded to a suite, which was spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was a mix of buffet and Al a carte and so delicious!

Loved Hvar, hotel could not have better location but room we had was overpriced for what it provided.

Location, standard of decor, attentive staff

The marina facing room we had was small and badly designed. There was no chair. There is nowhere to put suitcases which have to stay on the floor. There is no towel rail in the bathroom. The shower door is designed to open inwards but can’t because it hits the overhead shower - opening it outwards means the bathroom floor gets wet/bath mat gets pushed away. Minibar was empty throughout stay - we had to ask for milk sachets for the coffee machine.

Riva Marina is a rip-off

A rip-off. 500 euros for a room the size of a walk-in closet. No pool. No amenities. A bathroom with a see through door. No place to put your suitcase. The breakfast was nice. But really, you could spend this kind of coin at Manhattan. I’d recommend you go to Amphora. For 2 hundred euros less, a great room, excellent pool & deck by the ocean; a nice room & buffet. Riva Marina is a sad wannabe boutique hotel.

Amazing 2 nights

We just had the most amazing 2 nights staying at this beautiful hotel. From the moment you disembark you are welcomed and taken to the wonderful reception, the smell, decor and staff tell you it's going to be good. We were blessed to stay in the beautiful suite and we didn't want to leave. Sitting watching the bustle of Hvar from our terrace was an absolute joy. A truly memorable stay in this very special hotel & island, thank you so much.

Nice, but could have been better

The location of the hotel is great. At one end of the Riva with the hustle and bustle that brings. It was good for watching the boast come and go, and people watching the unending stream of visitors moving up and down the quay. The breakfasts were amazing with an incredible range of options. I liked the fact that bubbles and bucks fizz appeared to be the norm! The staff we very welcoming and friendly and provided excellent service. Check in (in the rain) was wonderfully handled with the offer or a towel with a glass of prosecco. Hvar is a wonderfully historic town and has many wonderful sites to visit.

For the money, I thought our room was smaller than i expected. We booked a Marina Double with sea view, and it was incredibly tight - considering it was the most expensive hotel on our trip, it was a bit of a let down. Hvar attracts many young groups drawn by the nightlife, which is great if its your thing but does have an impact. Late night returners to the hotel were disturbing. The hotel, and many other establishments, rely heavily on the weather and most of the time that is fine, but in days of poor weather (as we experienced), it highlights limitations. Capacity for breakfast was challenged without the outside space and seating in the lounge area, just about adequate. These is no simple answer but it was a good job we were happy to share with other guests. Put simply, we expected more for a premium price.

Excellent hotel in a great location, with the best breakfast we’ve had!

The location was perfect, a short walk to the main square. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we’ve had in our travels to any country. The staff were really friendly and attentive. When we arrived we were welcomed with a glass of fizz, which was needed with it being 32 degrees! We stayed for my birthday and they all were wishing me happy birthday and they gave me a piece of cake to celebrate with at breakfast.

The only trade off was room sizes, they are ‘cosy’ but fine for a short stay.

Amazing hotel for a romantic weekend away.

The hotel exudes quality and service from the moment you step inside. Nothing is too much for the staff attending your needs. Everything is exquisite, clean, done to perfection. Absolutely fabulous.

Rooms are on the small size. There is limited space to hang clothes, store suitcases, even hang towels after a shower. This feels like a hotel where you stay for 2 nights, longer would feel cramped.

Amfora grand resort what a fabulous place to stay in HVAR

Due to closure we were moved to Amfora grand resort owned by the same company. Fabulous location, wonderful views and room was quiet and well appointed. Could not fault.

It’s right on the Riva and just a few steps from the ferry. Lovely views and right in town. The outdoor restaurant has wonderful comfy conversational areas. The staff is so helpful and very kind. Breakfast is amazing.

Perfect in every way

This hotel far exceeded expectations. It was luxurious and perfectly located. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast selection was exceptional . There is a well equipped gym as well. I would recommend and go back tomorrow.

Fantastic location, great room and beautiful outdoor space.

The hotel is in one of the most convenient spots in Hvar. Our room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was included in the room which is quite helpful so we didn't have to search around for a place to eat.

When our room was serviced, the maid didn't take away all the dirty glasses and the bed was poorly serviced.

Lushest stay! Highly recommend.

The hotel was so clean, it had all the little extra’s… water, cookies, chocolate, towels, refreshments. Breakfast was outstanding. All staff were friendly and super helpful, Alexandra helped us on our stay and was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Ideally located, right on the port and a short distance to walk to centre.

If I was going to be really picky I would say that the bathroom not having a proper door and being able to see through it, if sharing with friends is a little uncomfortable when you need a moment of Privacy.

The Gold Standard In Hospitality

Everything. The location couldn't have been any better, it was perfect. We stepped off the boat onto the beautiful marina and Riva Marina was less than a minute's walk, located close by to the main square, Carpe Diem Bar, local facilities, etc. The rooms had a nice modern design and were kept cool for our arrival, the beds were super comfortable. The staff deserve a mention as were all extremely polite, professional and happy to assist us with any advice we sought. Everything runs cohesively between the teams here. Finally, the breakfast and food served at BB Club was of an excellent standard. 10/10.

A perfect stay at a perfect hotel

Beautiful hotel with great room. The cost of a sea facing room with a balcony was worthwhile. The rooms were spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel Breakfast choices were first class, albeit it would have been good to have better croissants and fresh fruit cocktail without having to ask The double glazing kept all noises outside and a/c was perfect

Manage noise in corridors late at night While breakfast was perfect, it was a shame you had to ask for many items from the waiter Obviously boat arrivals determine the flow at check in. It was a shame that you could check in advance
