Lovely breakfast in the deck, cosy space, lovely family- even got a private boat trip arranged with Milan- super stay!

We loved the family- Milan’s mom and Milan were so helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very generous and tasty. Location was lovely.

Lovely hosts

Milan and his mother were very nice and friendly, recommending lots of things to do on our road trip. Communication great. He offered a boat tour along lake Skadar (which we didn't do with him but sounded amazing). Breakfast was great. Location very beautiful with all the fruit and vegetables growing, very peaceful. Easy to find and access with a car. Clean. Close to Virzapar.

Damp or drain smell coming from the bathroom that made the entire stay very uncomfortable, perhaps due to heavy rains the night before. Was glad to only have one night. A little cold, but we were unlucky to stay during a cold spell in October.

Great location and amazing hosts

Fully recommending this place if you plan to stay at Skadar Lake. Very calm area, close to the lake and Milan can take you for an amazing boat cruise (which is a must-do in here). Milan and his mother are very friendly and helpful people, we couldn't have it better during our stay. Breakfast was big and tasty.

On the cold days (we weren't very lucky to the weather) the room was also quite cold inside. Otherwise nothing to complain :)

Hosts met us immediately upon arrival, helped us with our bags, gave us useful info about the surrounding town/restaurant/things to do. Very quiet setting. Absoutely fabulous breakfast!!!

A perfect stay in Virpazar

We had an amazing stay at Apartment Milena! The apartment was clean and perfect for our needs. Milan and his mother Neina were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. They are truly ambassadors for their country! Neina prepared the most delicious feast for us for breakfast every morning and very kindly accommodated to a vegetarian diet. Milan and his girlfriend Anja were always a friendly face in town, and helped us to hire some SUPs which was a lot of fun. The sunrise boat tour with Milan was a particular highlight - we saw so many Kingfishers and learned a lot about the lake. Milan went out of his way to make sure we had a good trip, particularly since we didn't have a car. He even took the time to drop us off and pick us up from a private beach free of charge. We are extremely grateful to have met such lovely people. If anyone is coming to Virpazar, staying here is an absolute must, and the boat trip that Milan offers is well worth it!

Pelican Paradise !

This apartment was the perfect start to our trip to Montenegro, just 30 mins drive from the airport ! We couldn't have found a nicer spot, the apartment was immaculately clean with everything we needed, a lovely outdoor space and comfortable beds. The icing on the cake, was the free breakfast , delivered fresh and hot to the door - we couldn't believe how lucky we were ! What's more, for a trip of the lake, use Milena Boat Trips and yet again 10/10 for a private trip to the most beautiful and remote side of the lake, with Milan, as expert guide. You really couldn't find somewhere better to stay. Enjoy !

excellent experience

First of all, the hosts – so warm, hospitable, and responsive to every question we had. Neina (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly), the mother, was incredibly kind. Although she doesn’t speak English, we had no trouble communicating. Milena, the daughter, was available by phone and always happy to help. Neina's breakfasts were delicious—especially the amazing doughnut-like pastries and muffins! We requested vegetarian food, and everything was perfect. Any reasonable request was gladly accommodated (for example, preparing eggs a certain way or serving specific vegetables to suit our picky teen daughter). Milan, the son, was very friendly and patiently answered all our (many!) questions. He helped us a lot in planning our stay in the region. We took a 2-hour speedboat tour with him on Skadar Lake, and it was excellent The apartment itself is very comfortable and impeccably clean—honestly, it was the first place in all our travels where I didn’t feel the need to rewash the dishes or kitchenware. The same goes for Milan’s boat—I’ve never seen such a spotless boat. There were some issues with Wi-Fi, but Milan explained it’s a regional problem. In fact, the Wi-Fi wasn’t very stable in most of the places we stayed in Montenegro—it seems to be a country-wide issue. There are just two small things that could be improved, though they weren’t critical: It was very hot, and since the air conditioner is located in the living room, it doesn’t reach the bedrooms well. We were usually outside or didn’t use the bedrooms during the hottest part of the day, so it wasn’t a big issue—but a fan would be helpful until around 23:00, when it cools down enough to open the windows. A microwave would also be a useful addition, but we managed just fine without it. Overall – an excellent experience that makes us want to return to the region and to this apartment!

Very clean and spacious. Well equipped kitchen but we needed help to use some of the facilities.

The owner was nice but only because he wanted us to sell with him on the lake for a substantial amount of money. Didn’t like it at all - trying to sell sailing in his boat.

Welcoming hosts with very nice accommodations close to Virpazar train station!

The hosts at this facility are outstanding. Contact them for a boat tour—we didn’t think of it, and we wish we had. We were greeted with lemonade and also had a fantastic, generous breakfast. Hosts were kind to let us leave luggage and even check out late when we had some time before our train left. Very good experience!

Cosy place

The owner was very nice. When I arrived she gave me some lovely cake and lemonade. Her son spoke English and explained some boat tours they offer. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and I liked the little terrace. The breakfast was excellent! I can highly recommend this accommodation. Its only 5 minutes away from the train station (walk).

The way to the lake where boats were was a bit dangerous if you walked due to high traffic and no pedestrians. I walked on the road. It's about 15 minutes, maybe. I guess it's much easier by car.

Apartment very comfortable for four people. Comfortable beds, quiet area, nice terrace with view of the green mountains around, private parking. Milena and her mother gave us a very warm welcome. We enjoyed a good dinner prepared by them and brought to our apartment (very convenient if you are tired at the end of a journey), as well as the breakfast. Milena gave us good suggestions about panoramic roads, and we enjoyed very much the boat trip on the lake with her brother Milan!!

Peace and quiet

The hosts are really great. Being there you become a part of the family and you are treated alike. The breakfasts were really good and portions were to big for us to eat all up. In the vicinity there is a playground for older kids which was just perfect for us. We have a hired car and it is a must when you are in Montenegro. We did not want to stay on the cost where you have endless crowds. It is much better to stay in a quiet place like Milena's and take a 10 min ride to one of the small beaches in Sutumore.

A wonderful stay and trip on lake Skadar

We are a couple in our seventies without transport. We came by taxi from Podgorica airport. We were welcomed by Milan’s mother who spoke no English. She showed us to the apartment and passed us her phone to speak to Milan who had called to check that all was okay. We settled in (a bottle of wine awaited us). Shortly after our arrival Milan appeared. He offered to drive us to a local restaurant and collect us when we’d finished. The road into town was okay once you’d done it in daylight. Breakfast was varied each day. We especially liked the omelette. Milan took us on a morning’s boat trip on Lake Skadar for 80€. Without doubt this was a highlight of our holiday. He knew the lake so well and took us down beautiful channels and backwaters in the speedboat. We saw so much- the distant outline of Albania, and pelicans, cormorants and terns. When we got back we were given cake, Coca-Cola and milk to brew our own drinks. The next day Milan recommended a walk to give a view over the lake. We saw a tortoise on the path. On our last day, to save us getting a train to Bar and then a bus to Kotor, Milan drove us to the bus station in Bar and helped us with our tickets. No doubt that Milan went well out of his way to make our stay so enjoyable.

Milena and her mam were wonderful. Excellent with my toddler. Breakfast was fantastic.

While Virpazar is only 1Km away I would not recommend walking. A significant section of the walk is by a busy road with no pavement.

We were greeted by Milena and her mother. Milena gave us all the information we needed. Her mother made an excellent breakfast. Her brother gave us a fabulous tour of the Lake. As a team they welcomed you as a part of their family ensuring you had everything you needed. Apartment was very clean. I would like to return sometime and would highly recommend.

Great stay and experience in lovely Virpazar

Milan, Milena and their mother are really kind people, for me it was great to see that Virpazar and the lake are how important to them, they know a lot about it and are happy to talk about it to their guests, especially Milan. Thanks to his experience, we were lucky to see 6 pelicans on the boat tour, do not miss the private boat trip, pretty amazing. Breakfast was excellent and fresh.

Great stay and location

Great location near the lake and the apartment was fab. Breakfast was included which the hosts brought up at our requested time. The hosts were lovely and very informative about the area and things to do. We unfortunately got food poisoning from somewhere we ate at and the host let us stay and extra hour during check out & brought us some meds. They were very helpful, would definitely stay here again.

Don't miss this apartment if you visit Virpazar!

First of all, we have met a wonderful family: Milena, Milan and their mother have been a model of hospitality and caring for their guests. The apartment is a real home, not just some rooms refurbished for tourists: it is fully equipped, beds are comfortable and everything is clean and new. WiFi works great, Virpazar can be reached by a 10 minutes walk and there is enough parking space for everyone's car. Breakfast is delicious! You can also book a good boat trip on the lake which is worth its money.

Beautiful and Comfy

Milena's apartment was perfect for our short stay in Virpazar. Everything was perfect, clean and spacious. We loved that all around the apartment we could see fruit like grapes and figs which we were able to pick and eat! In the morning breakfast was provided by Milena's mother which was incredible and fresh! Really enjoyed our experience in this apartment and the homemade wine was a super nice touch ☺️

Very kind hosts, Milan and Milena's mum - great contact by messaging, my parents were greeted at the train station on arrival and then welcome with a coffee and homemade lemonade. Delicious breakfast served outside. Oh, and lovely cats. So, 10/10 on the above.

My parents enjoyed their stay thoroughly, yet I - as the person organising this stay - was a little disappointed with the services I was interested in booking alomg the room and that were different to the expectations. Milena wrote that part of the boat trip booked with the familu was a fish dinner. I read about it on other people's reviews here, too, that it was great. Yet, my parents did not get the dinner along their 2.5h trip. Then, the airport ride was more expensive than what Milena said (30€ instead of 20€). So, minor things but different to what was written at the time of booking. But that's the expectations management, I guess and an issue for me as the organiser of the stay.

With my friend, we stayed for 2 nights. Location is great to visit Skadar lake. Milena's family is doing everything they can to make the tourist comfortable! They propose dinner, visit of the lake but also can give useful advice of what to visit! I highly recommend the place.

The Hosts were very helpful and kind, we enjoyed dinner at the terrace of the appartment, had a great boattour and nice Breakfast. The Appartment is quite large, very modern, fully equipt (washingmashine, kitchen, dishwasher...), very clean and the two bedrooms are very nice and comfortable.
