Like a fairytale!!!

Everything was perfect!!! The hotel was ideal like a fairytale and the view outstanding. The room was great and very clean and the person in the reception was wonderful. She gave Us information and guided us to whatever asked. The breakfast was delicious. We will be back for sure. We promise!!!

The lovely staff. They were accommodating, helpful and very friendly.

The hotel room itself was clean, incredibly comfortable- best bed I’ve slept in on my trip. The view from the balcony was as breathtaking and the best thing to wake up to.

Absolutely amazing and friendly stuff, always ready to help. The room is clean, food is fresh and delicious. The house is very authentic, but also modern at the same time. A great place for staying.

Enjoyable one night stay at this facility overall other than the small matter on the sensor switches.

Room with lake view. Short walk to town center. Clean and newly renovated room with lift access to upper floors.

The lights in the bathroom and foyer of the room used the auto sensor switches. Suggest bathroom lights be changed to normal manual on and off switch, definitely no fun when middle of shower the room becomes pitch dark.

This is a charming hotel with a very kind staff. We weren’t in Hallstatt very long…just 1 day…but should we visit again

Everything! It’s located in the heart of Hallstatt. It’s a very nice accommodation in a very very old building. We were greeted so warmly by the staff!! Breakfast was nice and in a very lovely breakfast setting.

I had a great room with an amazing room but would have been extra great if there was a coffee machine in the room to enjoy a cup and look out over the water.

Best heritage property with modern facilities

Heritage hotel with wooden decor, rooms interiors. breakfast, location, heating availability even in September. Being old and rains , we felt cold but the heater worked. Many hotels heating is not operational till temperatures go very low. Excellent view, lake facing rooms and amazing elevator.

Only cash payment at the restaurants is not convenient. Rooms are small for triple occupancy. balcony can only sit of two persons that too with difficulty.

Beautiful room overlooking the lake in a fairytale village

A beautiful room in a beautiful family run hotel overlooking Hallstatt Lake. Staff are very friendly - I would single out Claudia who really was a welcoming host. Breakfast is good (continental), bed is extremely comfortable and a great shower. The hotel has installed a lift in the property which assists those with heavy luggage.

Everything in Hallstatt closes at circa 9:30pm with local stores closing at 5pm. Not a place for night owls!

Waterfront hotel in the center of town

The hotel is in a great location right in the center of town. It was recently renovated and there is now an elevator which is very convenient if you have a lot of luggage. We had the balcony room and the view was spectacular. Claudia the person who checked us in was very friendly. The restaurant on the property was also excellent with waterfront views. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel

Parking is painful but not the hotel’s fault. The volume of emails leading up to the stay were far too much. Not sure if it was worth what I paid though.

Amazing view and ond world atmosphere without any old smells from the furniture or floors.

The only thing that could be said is that the breakfast was quite low in options, otherwise fantastic in every regard.

Breakfast was limited no English breakfast available, bed was a little too soft for my liking but that’s a personal choice, parking and access is very difficult

Not as deamy as expected, but the views from the balcony were great.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The shower was good, the views of the lake from the balcony were awesome. Breakfast was simple but appreciated.

Although I booked and paid for a triple room, we were allocated a double, which didn't seem as cosy as the one shown in the photos. The room was dark and small... they could do with adding extra lighting options. The bathroom light was on a timer, which was incredibly frustrating and kept sabotaging showers. Having the balcony was great, but you can smell the smoke if people in the rooms next door are smoking in their balconies.

Old house turned into a hotel. They kept the original furniture, paintings and decorations. Restaurant and breakfast room were very causy.

Toilets need maintenance Breakfast options are limited. Could be much better if they added scrambled eggs and Halal options.

View from the window and location.

Receptionist was very impolite, even checking out at 10:30 they gave looks. Rooms were at the second floor, no lift and difficult staircase and no staff to help again!

Exceptional

This place was amazing, in the centre of town, easily accessible from the ferry. Room was super comfortable, bathrooms were clean and the lake side views were superb. Breakfast was also a nice touch

Only issues with the wifi, could not connect while in the room, only down in the lobby. For 700 year old building… makes sense. But on the plus side, very good way to disconnect
