One of the best properties I've ever had the pleasure of staying at and I hope to return very soon!

It is obvious that this property has been very carefully and lovingly restored. The innkeeper was lovely in showing me the features of the room/property. The location is phenomenal - right in the heart of the village. I feel so thankful to have found this amazing property so that I could have the experience of exploring the town late in the evening and early morning without the crush of tourists.

I have zero complaints about this property. It was beautiful, well taken care of and perfectly situated. And, the breakfast was amazing!

1. Be wary that if you have heavy luggages, the shuttle actually leaves you little away from the hotel and you will need to take your luggages on your own till the hotel 2. The comforter is little small in size and may not be enough to keep you warm at night

Don’t stay in room 2

The bed was wonderful, the location was great.

That smoke came up from people smoking down below and that noise from the bar continued until 12pm without any thought of the people in room 2.

The cutest little hotel in the most stunning location. The room was perfect and cozy for our winter trip. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be back in our lifetime. This is a bucket list place to stay

A wonderful couple of nights in Hallstatt

This is an excellent place to stay in Hallstatt. You are right in the centre of town surrounded by lovely inns and homes. It's like something out of a postcard. The whole building has been updated from top to bottom with very high standards and it was by far our most comfortable stay during our almost 3 weeks in Austria and Germany. The beds are incredibly comfy. The breakfast is excellent and during the afternoon/evening it becomes a little bar where everyone hangs out. Being able to take a glass of wine up to our room was a big bonus too. Alex was lots of fun to talk to and he was very helpful in providing us ideas on what to see and do while we were there for two nights. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The town is lovely after all of the day-trippers leave in the late afternoon/early evening and this is a perfect place to enjoy it.

Cozy little hotel right in the middle of the town centre. Owners were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Toilet was big. Breakfast spread was good. We had a brilliant stay here.

Wow! Do it, and upgrade to balcony room! Worth it!

Wow. Can’t accurately convey how much we loved it. Gives you that magical feeling. 2 minutes from the ferry, next to the stream, below the waterfall, in the centre of the Christmas stalls. Yet still so peaceful and quaint. Can’t get better! We loved everything about it. Amazing location, super friendly staff, bar has a great atmosphere, decorated traditionally but modernised to feel super clean. The breakfast is basic but more than enough and what they offer is done well. If anyone is undecided and can, 100% recommend upgrading to the balcony suit room (room 4) that made it so special! The owners were so accommodating and went above and beyond.

Nothing about I da mitt. In Hallstatt not all shop keepers and restaurant staff are as friendly as they are here. But we’d still return in a heartbeat.

Lovely, comfy stay in the heart of Hallstatt!

This was a lovely stay for my partner and I. We were welcomed very warmly by the man at the bar/reception downstairs, who showed us to our room. The room was lovely! It was very spacious (although with low beam ceilings, but that's what makes it so special :)), clean, with a great bed and covers (for winter), lounge chairs, a nice TV and everything you could possibly need for your stay. And we were right in the middle of Hallstatt's square, which was so convenient for us. Breakfast was amazing too, with a good selection and lovely staff (a lady) who was checking in regularly if we had everything we need. We would absolutely return if we visit Hallstatt again. Thank you!

The perfect, off the beaten path village that exactly exemplifies my visions of the Austrian Alps!

Everything was perfect. Tom, the owner, was exceptionally hospitable and friendly. This was his childhood home and he shared many stories of this wonderful village. The food and service were excellent. My favorite part of the day was in the late afternoon when we would sit on the sidewalk and watch the people while listening to stories the local gentlemen would tell. The beer was an added bonus!

Our host and his staff were wonderful and treated us to a delicious breakfast each day, even preparing our meal an hour early on the day of our departure.

We actually didn't mind this, but the church bells chime loudly at 6am each morning in Hallstatt. So completely quiet mornings are not an option. Also, we were a bit surprised for the number of "day tourists" arriving by ferry and bus each day, so it was more crowded than anticipated during the day. But in the evenings, no problem get seated in a local restaurant.

Perfect charm in Hallstatt!

The location couldn’t be better, so close to the ferry and right “in the middle” of the adorable main square. We loved the top room with balcony to sit and have a drink or coffee. The room was spacious, very nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful! Would recommend to anyone!

Our only complaint would be it did get a bit hot in the room. We opened the balcony door to cool it off.

Central Location, Friendly Hosts, Beautiful Stay

We stayed two nights at I da Mitt in Hallstatt, and it was a very charming experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the square, close to everything you want to see. The hosts were friendly and attentive, which made everything feel personal. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent — beautifully presented and tasty and nothing was too much trouble. There is no parking at the hotel due to the central position so you have to park a little down the road in P1 Parking Lot, you phone the Shuttle Taxi and it will come and pick you up ( you have to pay for the parking when you go back for you car). The taxi will take you depending on the time of day either right to the door or about a minute walk away. Because of its central spot, there was some noise from the square/bar downstairs in the evenings but it didn't go on all night. Due to there being no Air Con int he room, we had to have the windows open to cool the room down but the room was comfortable enough and we managed. The historic building feels full of character, and the mix of old charm with updated interiors works nicely. Overall, a delightful stay in a cozy, characterful place with great hospitality.

Very nice clean renovated room, great bathroom. No aircon, but windows provide good ventilation. Nice breakfast and friendly host. The location is very central, close to the schiffstation.

The hotel is also a bar. When people smoke in the verandah area, the smoke comes into the reception/breakfast area.

Room can use a fan to help cool off. Also we had no idea the shuttle only comes by every half hour to get back to the parking lot. We had to run all the way back to the garage to stay on time after learning a minute after it left

Perfect location, really friendly and helpful staff, great spacious rooms and amazing view. Breakfast had a lot of options. Good amount of wall sockets for charging phones and cameras.

I think they forgot to give us bed sheets cause we only got duvet cover and for the pillow but none for the mattress.

Convenient location that is very close to the ferry point. Delicious and nice breakfast that was inclusive of the booking. Allow guests to keep luggage before and after check in/out.
