Stunning Views, friendly staff, superb location, clean premises, lovely for peace and views!

Location fantastic, view was absolutely stunning, room was lovely too, peaked ceiling might be annoying for taller guests, but such lovely staff and clean!

More facilities with food and drinks but it was off season and very quiet so to be expected. Owner made me a nice coffee before I left and was super accommodating.

We had a wonderful night at Pension Leopoldine, looking out our window over the village and lake.

Large, comfortable two-bedroom apartment in old town Hallstatt, close to all points of interest.

The apartment is very large, with two separate bedrooms and a large common area with table and chairs. It overlooks a central area of the Hallstatt old town, and it has a small balcony with chairs for enjoying the view and outside. A small grocery store is nearby, and the apartment is within easy walking distance of all points of interest in town. As renters of lodging in the old town, we were able to park in a parking lot 500 meters away and take a free shuttle van to and from the old town. The building manager is very pleasant and personable.

The hospitality was truly special — warm, kind, and full of attention to every detail. We felt completely comfortable and happy here, like at home. This place is unique — it doesn’t feel like any other hotel, it feels like a real home full of heart and character. It was a pleasure to stay in such a welcoming place. It's a really cute and warm property located at the heart of Hallstatt. Very well thought of facilities were provided, loved every bit of staying here.

Only thing is that bathrooms werent attached to the room, but despite that, the owner made sure to make it as convenient as possible. Soaps were provided individually, bathroom space was huge, everything was provided for.

It was expensive but worth the money. Friendly host, clean, beautiful room with river sound flow through the back windows, Good white voice for your sleep. You can enjoy the scenery & quietness in the evening and morning, exloring the small town. Recommended

Book this place!

I’ve genuinely never felt so welcome at a hotel! On arrival, the gentleman at reception made sure to sit me down and go over a map of the town, with all the good spots to go, places to eat, and even the supermarkets opening hours. He then showed me around the hotel, and to my room — and to my surprise he’d upgraded my single room to an incredible room with a balcony overlooking the water, probably the nicest room in Hallstatt! Everything in the whole place is laid out beautifully, and you can just tell the level of care and consideration they’ve put into everything, the gentleman even handed me a thankyou cookie on checkout, I should have been thanking him! I would encourage anyone to make this gorgeous little village an overnight stay and this hotel comes with the highest recommendation ❤️

The owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got all the information we needed from the staff. The room was very nice — cute and comfortable! Our room had a balcony, so we could enjoy the view and have coffee there. (You can buy coffee on the 1st floor.) The location was perfect — so close to the ferry port and many famous spots.

Relaxing!

The accommodation blended beautifully with the surrounding nature, and both the exterior and interior design created a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. The location was excellent, right in the heart of town, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The host was also kind and very friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

One minor downside was that the shower water pressure was sometimes weak, and on a few occasions, it was difficult to adjust the water temperature. However, this was not a major issue and didn’t take away from the overall satisfaction of my stay.

Amazing view. Great hospitality.

The staff was super polite. The view was awesome. We were given I think the nicest room. The location was in the center of the beautiful town. The facility looks old and rustic, but it was easily the most well-kept place of all the places we stayed on during our trip. It had all the charm you look for on a trip like this, in my opinion.

It is a shared bathroom, but the bathrooms were very pretty, so it wasn't a deal breaker. Plus, we were the only ones on the top floor besides the housekeeper. And there were two showers and three toilets so I didn't feel burdened at all. I think all of the places directly in the village area have to be pricey, but it was kind of a once in a lifetime experience, so I think it was justifiable. It's definitely more justifiable than other cities in Austria.

Great location with a fun atmosphere.

The location of the hotel was great. The Apartment with Mountain View was a fun room to stay in. It even had an old working hand tune radio. The rooms were very spacious with a balcony.

I had several questions and was unable to get ahold of the hotel through email, text, phone calls or Booking.com. There was only one fan for two rooms.

Beautiful accomodation in the heart of Hallstatt!

Such a beautiful building, perfectly located. The staff were super helpful, and it was so easy to feel at home in the room and on the balcony (which had a wonderful view!)

The stairs were quite steep, so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with limited mobility, and the bathrooms were shared. Everything else was wonderful though!

The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the location was ideal! The apartment was spacious and yet cozy.

We had no complaints with Pension Leopoldine, but travelers to Hallstatt should be aware that credit cards are not widely accepted in the town, and most restaurants and cafes are closed by early evening.

- 10/10 for the staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I don't remember his name but he was a tall guy - Location is excellent. Easy to walk everywhere and close to the boat taking you out of the island - They have a restaurant on site which is convenient if you don't want to walk around - Nice balcony -Nice partial view of the lake (though distant but still good)

What an amazing gem in the centre of Hallstatt. On arrival Ferenz was amazing in accomodating early check in @ 10am. I was lucky to receive a free room upgrade to a Seaview balcony room! He went above and beyond for me, giving me a run down of the town and everything it had to offer. He offered to take my bags up the steep staircase. Thank you Ferenz you are amazing. If you’re ever considering visiting, this place is great value for money! It was very clean and felt very homey.

The room and the shared bathrooms were super clean, the service was excellent, the location is amazing - the hotel is situated in the very heart of the city, we had a magnificent view on the lake and the city from our balcony

It is a place with heritage, cosy, warm and peaceful. Our room was spacious for three of us and with a great view of the lake, next door to the ferry and straight in the centre of Hallstatt. The host is brilliant, very friendly and accommodating, we had everything we needed. Great place in a great location. Many thanks
