Amazing stay by the lake with the most astonishing view.

The room was very elegant and it had the most amazing big terrace overlooking the beautiful lake. I would say one of the best evening and morning views I have ever seen. Thank you!

Location and staff

The restaurant would not serve, appears private party. They should not advertise a full service hotel with a restaurant, if the restaurant will not serve its guests. Very poor taste. I had to walk 1/2 kilometers in the rain to find a restaurant

the location is amazing near the ferry and right on the plaza fountain. the staff are very friendly especially at check in.

there is no AC, and there is only one small fan in the room (our room was a big room with the big terrasse). in addition to this there are flies / flying ants that come into the room after having to open the windows . that was not very pleasant.

Lovely hotel and location but poor customer service for what you’d expect.

Location and decor

We booked dinner for the 60th birthday of one of our group. We had a great meal on the terrace. It is advertised in the literature as restaurant closing at 10pm. At 9pm the staff abruptly presented the bill- there was no option offered of purchasing another drink nor were we asked whether we wanted another drink before the bar prematurely closed. The staff all stood at the bar - one of them tapping it- until we left the table. It was a very disappointing end to a lovely evening.

This is THE hotel at which to stay !

This is THE hotel to visit in Hallstatt. If you see signature photos of Hallstatt, you will no doubt see this hotel right on the water and right next to the iconic church. It is centrally located and has lake-front dining with superb views. We booked one of their Junior Suites and was impressive. We have a large covered patio off the large room and it looked right out onto the lake. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. Thank you for a lovely time in this picturesque town. Side note: about a block to the south from the hotel is where you can rent an electric boat. We did 1/2 hour, which was 30 euro, but well worth it as we had plenty of time to cruise across the lake and up and down the town's shoreline for our own fabulous photos

This town gets BUSY, but you have it ALL to yourself in the morning and the evening as the day-trippers exit.

Disappointed and felt terrible for a day because of a lack of sleep.

Location to the shops.

We were put in room 104. It was hot enough that we had to keep the windows open. Starting between 3 and 4 a.m. the trash services began opening the doors to the bins and dragging the carts up the cobblestone street. Then they started with the metal carts. The noise made it impossible to sleep. This went on for almost 2 hours. We were ready to leave, but were moved to 210 for the 2nd night and that room faced the square. The noise there subsided by 11 p.m. and we were able to sleep. The only restitution that could make it better is if I were refunded 1 nights stay. Other than that, I would not recommend the hotel to any of my friends or travelers. The picture attached shows the cabinets where the bins and carts were located. This is just outside the window of 104.

The pool and spa facilities are first rate and spotless. The staff are attentive and kind. The restaurant is very good.

Good but expensive option if you want to stay in the center of town

The hotel is beautiful and the location is right on the water (my kids were able to jump in from their dock). It's also right on a main square in town. Staff were very nice.

These may be criticisms of Hallstatt as much as this hotel but... the room was very expensive for what you get (which is nice, and as promised, but was one lofted room for the 3 of us). The town itself is hard to navigate with parking outside and being crammed with Instagramming tourists. That said, staying in the town does give you a chance to see it when the busses leave.

A mixed experience

Fabulous location and really lovely staff bedroom beautifully appointed and bed very comfortable. Lovely terrace overlooking the lake for meals.Excellent self service breakfast.

I had asked for a quiet room. The room was unbelievably hot and no air conditioning..There was a small fan. We opened the two windows and that helped a bit but the room was next to a building site and the church tower where they ring the bells at 6 am it was incredibly loud. Only by shutting the windows and secondary glazing could you mute the noise a bit. We then realised the room was exceptionally hot as we were next to a room with washing machines and tumble dryers which vented onto the landing next to us. We asked for another fan and got it immediately. Dinner was a big disappointment and expensive. We had to send the fish soup back it was tasteless just water with a few bits of fish floating in it. My prawn cocktail had one prawn on top of a mash of prawns and other unidentifiable stuff. My rack of lamb which should have been medium was over cooked and dry , the mash cold and very little gravy. I need to be gluten free and the hotel offered no gf bread at dinner or breakfast.

Hotel is close to the ferry station. It is located at the center of car free Marplatz Room was spacious. Hotel restaurant had a great view of the lake. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Hair dryer in our room should be replaced. Some parts are deformed or melted.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Abhi at the reception. He had a wonderful personality—friendly, patient, and always smiling. He provided us with all the necessary information, making check-in smooth and pleasant. When we encountered an issue with our bathroom—the bath wouldn’t hold water and the drain wasn’t working—Abhi promptly took care of it. He moved us to a beautiful room overlooking the lake, complete with a spacious bath and stunning views of both the lake and the town. It was truly a fantastic upgrade. Abhi went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication stood out. We genuinely believe he deserves a “Best Employee” award for his outstanding service!

Best hotel in Hallstatt!!

The location is brilliant and so is the lake view. Excellent big room with an open terrace balcony for the junior suite. The reception staff was extremely courteous and helpful. It's located right next to the square so one is in the heart of this beautiful village and all the activities

The waiter can be a bit more cooperative. A couple of times we wanted to change something in the order seconds after booking and he won't alter the order saying it's already placed. Once it was just for cancelling a bottle of still water. Just leaves a bad taste when all the other things are excellent

Amazing place to stay

Staff were amazing! Luka, Abhi and Giorgio were very kind! Location is perfect, it's just around the corner if you come by boat, like me. Lake view room is the best thing you can do and a happy hour at the terrace. I went with my mom and I loved it. Next time I will take my husband for a second honey moon, Best place for it.

Restaurant staff weren't too kind. Breakfast ends at 10am, and I get there 9h35am. They said a bit rude that breakfast it was about to finished, but i still had 25 minutes!

The hotel was in an amazing location. Right in the center of town next to the iconic church that everyone takes a photo of. The view out our window was gorgeous. We were right on the water. We had two rooms next to each other (very pleased that the hotel was able to accommodate that). The staff at check in and check out was extremely friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant there one night and the food and staff were fantastic. The beds were very clean and comfortable. The showers had great water pressure.

Traveling in Europe as a family of 4 sometimes required us to get two rooms (including at this hotel in Hallstatt). This is nothing against the hotel itself.....but we would definitely prefer to have rooms that accommodated 4 people. I am just not sure they exist in Hallstatt (or at least we couldn't find one). This hotel was at least able to get us two rooms right next to each other though so that helped. The other thing I'd say they could do better on was in the area of temperature. There was no AC. And we were on the 3rd floor so it was extremely hot. They did offer fans in each room though and we were able to open the door and get a breeze going.

Breakfast was quite poor, lack of cutlery, plates, bowls etc so had to keep asking for various items. Some staff were great, others were quite off hand and not too polite. No AC in the room so we had to keep the windows open, which then kept us awake with people in the streets late into the evening then clattering around of the hotel staff / kitchen staff / wheeling large bins around from 5.00am in the morning.
