Good stay

Location outside the tourist zone , room very spacious , wonderful view , terrace overlooking the lake , kitchen , coffee

Breakfast option was not available , so harder to go outside and get something on your own , food options are not really good in Hallstatt and very limited

Great views but somewhat inconvenient location

The best thing is unquestionably the view from the terrace and how peaceful it is to look over the lake.

The location is quite far from the Hallstatt ferry and main part of Hallstatt with the restaurants and shops. If you don’t have a car, you have to drag your luggage for about 20 minutes to get to this location, so in the future I would opt for the Heritage Hotel or another that also has the great views but is much closer to the ferry. Some other hotels also had options for the hotel to bring your luggage to the property from the ferry but Boutiquestrand did not. Lastly, the reception hours are very spotty so it’s often difficult to find someone to ask questions etc and it is more convenient to have the 24-hour reception desk that some other properties have in the area.

Great view & location on the lake. Big room with balcony. Clean, 10min walk into main part of town. So quieter away from tourists during the day

Our bad experience in Hallstatt

I have chosen this place for its location , but frankly I didn’t have the opportunity to stay there . So I can’t value anything in this place

There should be any of there officers to inform us about the incident they have and guide us to another hotel to stay for that night . It was really a horrible night . It was heavily foggy and raining. We didn’t find any hotel available. We drove 80 km to find a hotel .

The hotel shut down without informing us - no email, no text message, no apology! We drove for hours and arrived only to find a note on the door saying they had shut down due to medical reasons and would refund. There was no answer when we tried to contact them via phone. We were left stranded for 4 nights without a place to stay as it was peak season and fully booked everywhere else! And it was getting dark. Another couple we met faced the same bewilderment and dilemma. Booking.com did not handle this properly. To date, neither Boutique Hotel Strand nor Booking.com have responded. Just terrible.

new, large modern rooms , comfy beds, large cosy balcony overlooking the lake, clean spacious bathroom, self-help kitchen on 1st floor, with coffee-machine for complimentary coffee/tea/milk, friendly helpful staff, neat on-site car park & close proximity to town & funicular, quiet neighborhood

a little expensive - but justified by what you get for your stay. coin-operated laundry would be nice to have

Lovely and highly recommend!

We had a spacious room facing the lake, and since the hotel is adults-only, it was a quiet and relaxing stay. The shower gel and shampoo smelled amazing—I’d definitely buy them if they were available for purchase at the hotel. There’s a lift in the building, which was a huge plus after a long day at the salt mine. With tired legs, climbing more stairs would have been tough! You can also drive directly to the hotel, and breakfast is available upon request.

The TV felt a bit small considering the distance from the bed, especially given the size of the room.

Beautiful, lakeside stay in Hallstatt!

Gorgeous, lakeside hotel with the most stunning view of Hallstatt. It's in a quieter part of town which was appreciated since the main area can get pretty busy. They brought us breakfast in the room so we could enjoy on our patio which was delightful. Great stay!

Beautiful and clean Boutique hotel

Good location, good views from balcony, very friendly manager (Seeble?). Very nice garden by the lake, spending hours sitting there with a bottle of wine in the evening.

Fantastic, relaxing stay at Boutiquehotel Strand. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Very highly recommend. The hotel is central to Hallstatt and has parking. The host is so welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent rooms with balcony overlooking the lake. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. There is a shared kitchen, great for preparing meals and tea/coffee available. Lovely garden with sun chairs to sit and relax by the lake. Breakfast is brought to your room and is first class. Our stay was perfect
