Great room and location. Pretty updated but still cozy!

Prior to our departure, I specifically asked the staff whether there would be a ferry early enough in the morning to allow us to catch our early train. I was clearly told that there is a ferry for every train leaving the station, and that we would not have any issues reaching the train station in time. Unfortunately, this information was incorrect. On the morning of our departure, no ferry was operating for our early train, and there was no reception desk or emergency contact number available to request assistance. As a result, we missed our initial train as well as two subsequent connecting trains, causing significant financial loss and disruption to our travel plans. (Became a 12 hour travel day) Additionally, we were instructed to leave our hotel keys inside the room upon checkout. Because there was no ferry and no staff available to assist us, we were forced to wait outside in freezing temperatures for approximately three hours until the next available train. This situation occurred solely due to misinformation provided by hotel staff and the lack of any after-hours support or emergency contact. Had we been given accurate information, we would have made alternative arrangements or stayed elsewhere.

Well located and alpine cozy.

Everything was perfect, the hotel location is 10/10, the bed is so comfortable, the view from our porch was stunning, we loved everything. Sandra was such a nice host to let us stay in a room with a lovely view after we kindly ask her.

Stay here for location

Just 2 minutes walk from the ferry terminal. The hotel restaurant serves very delicious shrimp pasta and grilled fish. Toilet is modern and spacious, room is quite tight on space.

It’s contactless check in|out meaning there’s no service staff at all manning the reception. It’s also not very clear where we should be collecting our keys - basically it’s on the left once you enter the hotel. You r on your own if you need any help with directions. No fridge, no drinking water provided. Bring your own toiletries as only hand/body soap is provided.

The hotel was very comfortable with a great restaurant. It was in a beautiful, but very busy town.

Booking indicated that we could purchase breakfast at the hotel, but they were not even serving breakfast when we were there. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time because there were very few places serving breakfast in the town.

Do not recommend a stay here!

Location was great, restaurant on first floor was fabulous, we had a delicious traditional meal.

Difficult to checkin as there is no reception. No kettles or safe in rooms. NO HOT WATER! And were lied to by the hotel about the reason, broken pipes except there are so many past reviews about the same issue. This is a basic requirement in a hotel, especially when paying $400 per night. The hotel said they would arrange a part refund but have failed to do so. We were looking forward to our stay in Hallstatt but were extremely disappointed in the hotel and Hallstatt itself , the town was beautiful but had no vibe. Lots of tourists during the day and nothing happening at night. The service and quality of food in the restaurants and bakeries were terrible. The staff were all so rude. I would not recommend staying in Hallstatt. A visit for a couple of hours is enough.

Gorgeous decks, great restaurant, great shower and beds.

No one ever at front desk. A little frustrating. Also they should sell beer and or wine bottles at check-in to enjoy on your deck. Took us an hour to find someone to sell us a bottle of wine.

Amazing vies

The property was in a great location , authentic cabin style rooms with a great balcony , we had an amazing view! It was close to the main square and restaurants.

A bit too noisy at night , no air conditioning, no coffee/ tea in the room and no breakfast . The only place in town where you can get a coffee is at a bakery that open at 8am.

The location of the hotel is amazing. The town is stunning , probably the prettiest village I’ve ever seen, and flat and easily walkable.The train and ferry connections are easy. We had a nice pizza at seecafe. It was difficult to find a restaurant or cafe that had good reviews

I think the room should have a kettle and a fridge, or at least access to one. No airconditioning in the room. We had luke warm showers on the first night, and the warm water in the morning went cold after 20 seconds. Ive noticed others have made comments about this but the receptionist acted surprised when she heard this. They need to get this sorted its pretty poor people expect to have hot water.

Beautiful Hallstate but bad experience hotel.

Location

The room was so small. It was so hot inside the room as there is no AC. I had one spider and many mosquitoes inside the room. The furniture is very old. Mediocre bathroom and room facilities. The room is highly overpriced.

Magical stay!

We loved our stay here! It was magical. Although to stay in Hallstatt is overall quite pricey it’s worth every penny. The calm and peaceful nature of this town means you can relax in the evenings when most tourists have left after 6pm ish.

Not kettle or drinking facilities. The restaurant is barely open with no staff around so was unable to get any hot drinks.

-Always unstaffed, I cannot check in because they missed our booking, cannot check out because they locked me out of my room before checkout time, and the staff are so hard to find, even after finding the staff I still cannot go in - For contactless check in they just put envelops on the counter, anyone could have taken the key cards designated to you - Poor door lock sensor, try 10+ times to enter my room - You cannot lock your room further while the hotel entirely has no security facilities, anyone can go in and right to your room if they wanted -No amenities in the room at all, not even a cup to brush teeth

The location of the hotel is excellent. The room layout is very reasonable and there is an elevator to take, which is very convenient for travelers with luggage. The room was cleaned very well. The only regret is that there is no breakfast, but I saw that the hotel has restaurant facilities, but they seemed to be closed.

Central location

1) Proprietress was unhelpful and rude. 2) The hotel is a significant distance from remote parking lot. There is supposed to be a a shuttle. She did nothing to summon the shuttle when we asked. We waited one hour and finally walked carrying our luggage. 3) There were no drinking glasses. 4) Ice was not readily available. 5) There is no receptionist on duty. This is disclosed, but is a problem. 6) There is no coffee or tea available.

Very limited staff. We have stayed here twice before over the years and when Joseph’s honor was running it it was friendly, and the place was very busy. Today is a total different vibe and it was very cold and none of the facilities were really open for our use.

Very relaxing!

The location is the center of the city. Our room has view on the city square, church, mountain and the lake !! Also the host was very helpful and caring when my wife was feeling cold she provided extra heater to our room to make it extra warmer. It was a nice gesture, thank you !
