Great centre location but shared toilet

Great central location- only 450m from the station and very close to the old town.

Booked because of the location. Staff were pleasant and checked us in quickly. Location is Very good only 450m from the train station and less to the old town. CHF 292 for two nights. No breakfast available but lots of small cafes nearby. The free wifi was slow and sometimes intermittent. Our bed was a double against the wall so one had to wake the other to leave the bed during the night. There is no 'city view' except the wall 4m opposite our window. The entire place is tired and in need of renovation but was relatively clean. The main issues for us was that there is only one small toilet/ wash basin for 6 rooms. I would not have booked if I had seen this - it was 'hidden' in the text about the hotel.

We had a wonderful time during our two-night stay in this small and cozy hotel.

I really liked the location — right in the heart of the old town, making it very convenient to reach most of Lucerne’s attractions. The hotel is situated on the second floor, with a restaurant on the first floor, yet it remains generally quiet at night. A nice surprise was finding a small refrigerator tucked inside the cabinet, which came in handy during our stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly and make you feel right at home.

The free Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty, and there is only one shared toilet for about 5–6 rooms, but these were minor inconveniences compared to the charm, comfort, and convenience the hotel offers.

Great value stay with a central location

The hotel is truly right in the heart of the city! You can easily reach tourist attractions on foot without even needing public transportation. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the main train station, which is very convenient. Considering the price, I think it's a very good place. My room was clean, and I didn't experience any issues. The shared bathrooms were spotless, and I had no discomfort at all. In short, I was very satisfied in terms of location and cleanliness. If you're looking for an affordable and central place, I definitely recommend it!

Some things show a little wear and tear, but it’s no big deal. Sweet little property with sweet owners.

The location is perfect for walking in the city and local touring

No clear access to WiFi - we asked the host and they simply told us to follow the instructions in the room but the network was not accessible or visible on any device. We asked the host but they were not really helpful

Very basic for room price. Room was poorly decorated, use of garden furniture. Bed too firm, poor quality pillows, curtains insufficient to keep street lights glaring into room. Shared toilet facilities, which was not just with other people staying in hotel but also with people using the restaurant. Therefore access to room door area. As a solo female traveler I did not feel safe, so only stayed one night out of two nights and left to stay at another property. Hotel staff were not welcoming.

Check in and door lock/entry was confusing with no person to speak with or help in the middle of the day. Bathroom was not ensuite, which we knew, but shower in room was nice surprise. There was a very large spider on the curtain when we entered the room. Entry door & window view both in small alley which was not lit at night.

Great hospitality. The food at the restaurant downstairs was amazing. The Thukpa is a must try. The hosts were so hospitable, polite and jolly.

Nothing that I did not like. The toilet was shared but it was not an issue since it was cleaned regularly. Was clean, dry and fragrant at all times.

Wonderful night in Luzern

The family who hosted us were incredible. So kind, warm, and really made us feel at home. Their restaurant was also fantastic and we had a truly exceptional meal for an extremely reasonable price. On checkout day, they allowed us to leave our bags beyond the checkout time so we didn't have to lug them around all day while exploring the town. A fantastic experience all round!

Good value for Luzern

The hotel is within walking distance from the station and at the heart of the historic city. The room is comfortable and well equipped (fridge, teapot...). Unfortunately we were there during the restaurant day off so we couldn't try it but we would definitely come there again.

Toilets are out of the room (but it was mentioned in the description). No AC in the room.

Location and value for money was very good

Check in involved no staff and I never met anyone who worked in the building during the entire stay. The walls were quite thin leading to being disturbed by other guests late into the night.

The location is perfect. Five minutes walking from the train station, and everything else in the city center is reachable in a 5-10 walk. The staff is amazing, they are a nice, beutiful family. They treated us with kindness and generosity, Don't miss the chance to eat at the family's Tibetan restaurant, their food is delicious. It is not a luxury-hotel, but it is comfortable and clean, it is perfect for a peaceful trip.

Great location, great value!

Check in was easy, but during our stay there was some sort of holiday going on, so after our initial check-in, we didn't see the owners/staff at all and the restaurant wasn't open so we didn't get to try their food, but that was ok! Tons of food to try around the area, obviously. The bed was surprisingly very comfortable for my husband and I and our room was pretty big -- We were told we got the 'big room' :) I liked that we had our own private shower, but the toilet was shared (we expected that)! Loved the location! Walking distance to the train station, boats, everything!

AC is uncommon in Switzerland, I get that! No problem. I grew up without it :) A fan was included in the room, which was great, but maybe one additional floor fan would've been nice since we were there in peak summer and it was quite hot. With the windows open and the one fan blowing, it all worked out very well, but it was still generally warmer than what I'm accustomed to. Everything was lovely and I would definitely stay there again.

Nice room and nice staff. the Room was clean and a comfortable size for 2 people. We had to share a toilet with other rooms, but the room had a shower and sink. I would have like electrical plugs on both sides of the bed. It would have been nice to have an AC, there waa an oscillating fan. Also a light over the sink for putting on make up would. be helpful.

Best bet for this price in the city of Lucerne.

I was traveling to Switzerland with my mom for a week and stayed at multiple hotels through Zurich, Zermatt, Interlaken, and Lucerne. I could proudly say that the hospitality and accommodation from this hotel topped all the other hotels. The hosts were very welcoming and sweet that made my trip to Lucerne extra special. I also enjoyed the food from their restraint downstairs, it was very delicious. If I were to come back to Lucerne, I would come back to this hotel.
