This posada is not worth its price

The location was good

The room was very cold that I could not sleep well. I was expecting some form of heat inside the room. Also, I remind them the previous night that I was going to leave early in the morning, 7 am, for a hike, the posada entrance was locked. There was a phone number ti call via WhatsApp to request opening the gate. They took them one hour to do that. The posada was attended by a 10 year old girl and a 12 year old boy.

Highly appreciated that the staff provided me one night with hot water and the next night a kettle.

It is an amazing setting, and I love the atmosphere and character of the Pasado. I went outside of peak time and it was a very quiet and peaceful experience and not difficult to get around.

When I arrived, it was late and raining and some self catering or kettle in the room would have been welcome. But then I did manage to make my needs known and was assisted.

A place that could be a nice hotel...

Outdoor area is nice.

The house inside is poorly equipped, less than basic and run down. They sold us firewood at 5times higher price than normal, which is not very nice (yes, we ere also stupid to buy it...)

Disappointing

The interior garden is peaceful and has a lovely view. It is an easy walk to the center where you can get food and drinks.

This is probably specific to the rooms, please read through carefully. We had booked the Quadruple room with balcony. It is directly over he street, which made it very noisy. I would not recommend this room unless you have earplugs. Also to note, the 'balcony' is just the outside access to the room. We asked to change rooms for the following night, which they granted us, so we go to the Standard Quadruple Room, and are happy to see it is further away from the main street, but the base of one of the single beds was crazy squeaky. It kept everyone awake every time our son moved. Let's just say our stay was not restful. But they had many other rooms and cabanas that are possibly perfect. And the central area is awesome to sit and enjoy the view.

A bargain in Mineral del Chico

It's a family run hotel in a funky little mountain town. Therefore, it isn't elegant but quite spartan. If you consider the excellent price, it is a bargain.

Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a "cyclist race and festival" so the hotel was full and some of the guests were quite noisy. Not a drunken brawl or anything like that: just boisterous conversations until quite late.

Lovely views

Location, people, views.

We stayed in the economy double and the double room. Economy double was the more expensive of the two but was noisier and colder. Would recommend just going for the cheaper option. Wifi doesn’t reach all the rooms.

Homely mountain stay

The staff were absolutely lovely! I had trouble withdrawing cash in town but I felt so at ease in the hotel and they really went above and beyond to help me out. The rooms come equipped with extra blankets for the admittedly chilly nights and the hot showers were probably the best I've found in Mexico so far for temperature and water pressure. On the whole a clean, homely stay in an absolutely stunning location just a couple minutes walk from town. If you have your heart set on mineral del Chico then your heart should be set here.

I was cold at night even in all my layers but that's as much the mountain climate as the hotel.

Centric hotel with not comfy beds.

Location and nice and helpful staff.

The mattress were really thin not comfy at all. The room was really cold. Colder than the outside. When you get a room underneath another you can hear even when people breath. The shower has curtains so you get wet all the bathroom floor.

The staff are really friendly and is well located, far from all the noise and confusion. It's a distance walk to downtown 5 minutes. And 20 to the river.

Es buena la ubicación y la vista que tiene es muy hermosa, hace bastante frio, pero nos apoyaron con varios cobertores, en un poco pequeña la habitación, para desconectarse esta bien, pero me hubiera gustado una televisión.

Una estancia muy comoda

la ubicación esta muy cerca del centro, uno puede ir caminando, es un lugar tranquilo y seguro, lo unico que le falta a las calles es iluminación, pero de ahi en fuera es un lugar tranquilo, con unas vistas maravillosas. La gente es muy amable y te dan las indicaciones para que la estadia sea mucho mejor.

el baño, tendria que tener una cortina, para que el agua de la regadera no se salga hacia la otra parte del baño

La ubicación está increíble, muy cerca del centro Mineral del Chico

Hace falta cambio de camas y almohadas. Llegué y se veía un poco sucio el baño, las toallas también muy usadas, te colocan un papel del baño. El personal, cuando llegamos no había nadie para recibirnos. Paso 20 min apareció alguien y solo nos indicó estacionarnos y anduvimos por todo el hotel buscando la recepción.

¡Agradable experiencia!

Muy lindo lugar, esta muy cerquita del centro, fácil de llegar. Tuvimos un retraso para hacer el check in y los anfitriones nos hicieron el favor de esperarnos aunque ya era muy noche. La cabaña con vista a la montaña es 10/10, no es un alojamiento de lujo pero esta cómodo. Buena limpieza, agua caliente sin problemas para 4 personas. Hay algunos insectos pero es normal si está en el bosque.

Las habitaciones un tanto frías, ayudaría mucho calefacción.

Nunca asearon el cuarto. Teníamos que hacer nosotros las camas y el bote de basura lleno sin tener donde tirarlo. El piso por la lluvia se ensució y estuvo con lodo y nunca lo asearon. El aire frío se colaba por rendijas de las paredes. Los paneles de acrílico son pésimo aislante del frío y de esos abundan para darle iluminación. No hay más que una mesita , no hay donde colgar ropa o poner tus cosas. Demasiado austero en muebles.

La ubicación es súper buena, llegas caminando en 8 minutos al centro de Mineral del Chico. Igual al estar cerca del centro, los Razers que contratas para hacer actividades pueden pasar por ti. Del centro a la posada, siempre está iluminado y muy concurrido. Nada peligroso. Yo me hospedé en la habitación 102, cuenta con cuatro camas individuales, 2 separadas y dos unidas (que hacen una cama King size). Había leído reseñas de que no te daban suficientes cobijas, por eso opté por llevar dos cobertores grandes extras y un calentador pequeño, pero en realidad ponen sábanas calientitas y, aparte de las cobijas que ya están tendidas sobre las camas nos dejaron tres frazadas extras. Los colchones son bastante cómodos, sólo los filos de la cama si se sienten. Siempre hubo agua calientita para bañarse y lavarse las manos. Sinceramente la habitación es muy sencilla, pero económica para encontrarse tan cerca del centro. La gente que nos recibió, es muy amable.

Cuándo llegamos a la habitación, el baño estaba un poco sucio (había un papel en la taza del baño y la tapa del baño tenía unas manchas). Algunas de las toallas que nos dejaron olían a rancio, como si no la hubieran lavado en mucho tiempo. Igual le hace falta mantenimiento al baño, el lavamanos estaba apunto de caerse, además tenía gotera, lo que hacía que el piso del baño siempre estuviera mojado. El servicio a la habitación no es tan práctico. Porque el horario en el que lo hacen es de 9 a 12 de la mañana y para eso tienes que dejar tu llave en recepción, en mi estancia, nunca hicieron el servicio a la habitación porque nunca pudimos estar en esos horarios.

- Es práctico para pasar la noche. - La ubicación es muy buena. - La vista es espectacular. - Cuenta con los servicios básicos: cama, baño, agua caliente y una cajonera. - Tiene estacionamiento. - Es seguro. - El personal es amable.

- Es helada (estábamos a 4°C, fue muy difícil entrar en calor), las cabañas pequeñas para dos personas no cuentan con chimenea. - Tienen un poco de humedad en los muros, pero es normal. - Si tienes una cabaña a un lado, se escucha todo. - Si quieres irte a relajar en la cabaña o pasar tiempo ahí, no es la opción, es cómoda para llegar a dormir, nada más. - No hay ningún tipo de servicio de alimentos ni bebidas, así que si quieres agua, café o algo de comer, hay que buscarlo por fuera. - No hay Wi-fi, lo cual tampoco es terrible si el objetivo es desconectarse.
