Stunning property

Such a beautiful property and the most wonderful staff. The room we had roared with the sound of the river after a rainstorm which was actually so relaxing. Delicious breakfast..

The property has been affected by poor local planning so walking out to town requires traversing stairs and a busy road.

It is like going back in time.

The room is gorgeous, still decorated as back in time. Bed is comfortable, the view to a local gorge is delightful. The restaurant is top notch for dinner, with amazing food and service.

The quality of the breakfast does not match the quality of the hotel and the restaurant for dinner. Most of the AAA bed and breakfast have better options than this hotel, so I believe that a small improvement of the breakfast food options could go a long way.

We payed for water! This should be a standard to have free water in the room and also in a 5* Restaurant as loong as it is not sparkling water.

Superb

Quiet, charming, old fashion hotel. Room was spacious, no air con but nice temperature at night, enjoying the fresh air coming from the small wood surrounding the property. 20/25 minutes walking distance from the Collegiale and City centre. Breakfast and wifi were good. The young lady working at the reception has been very helpful with my requests and sorting out a few small problems in my room. Particularly appreciated the free bus pass and vouchers provided for museums and lake cruise as everything is so expensive in Switzerland.

The staff are so nice and the location is so unexpected! Like a hideaway, you dont feel in the city at all. Beautiful rooms!

The room definitely needs a fan in the summer heat. It was very, very hot. We could open the windows but then we heard the train going by. This was the only negative and we would definitely come and stay again.

Great value for a unique stay in Neuchatel!

Large, clean room in beautiful historic building. Grounds were spectacular with an old mill and walking trails right behind. Breakfast was included and delicious. Restaurant on site was also amazing. Quiet and beautiful grounds.

Hidden gem in Neuchatel

Multiple times staying in this hotel when going to the office. To my surprise I got upgrade this time to room nr4 which turned out to be beautiful and spacious room with big bath. Its a nice and cozy place, good breakfast, friendly stuff. Well-equipped bathroom with all thats needed. Walking distance to city center of Neuchatel. I will stay again :) Free parking outside is a huge bonus.

no tea/coffee making facilities in the room location isn’t in keeping with ambience of the hotel lack of places to eat within reasonable distance pricey for what you get - but it is Switzerland I guess

Wonderful place to stay

Absolutely sensational as you would expect for the cost. Located in an old mill right beside a river, all the old workings are exposed to look at. Amazing food from the restaurant and fabulous breakfast

far , expensive and not for light sleepers

not a place to have a good night sleep (thin walls) no blackout curtains- hard to sleep in such bright light far from downtown Hot room no AC difficult walk to downtown (not scenic , no curb) isolated location ( stranded if you want to eat) 45chf for 6 pieces of cheese and bread in the room no possibility to book without breakfast mediocre breakfast staff woke me up by calling the room they don’t tell you about the free transport pass Don’t stay there if you don’t have a car fluorescent light in the room too harsh electric plugs disconnect sometimes

Very charming hotel with nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern bathroom.

Wifi did often not reach 2nd floor, the beds were hard and the sound from the indeed very charming river did become enoying after a while (we hade open windows due to the weather).

great stay unusual location pricey food

oasis in a built up area … pleasant surprise when we arrived. stunning waterwheel and waterfalls. clean comfy rooms. friendly staff. good value for rooms.

we had taster menu which was good but very pricey and some taste combos not quite to our liking … pairing wines were good too but would have like more explanation about what they were and why.. probably our fault for not speaking French.

An excellent choice in Neuchatel.

Breakfast, nature and the personnel were excellent. It was really impressive how polite and helpful were all of them at any request we had. The restaurant was also excellent but it is very expensive. I would like to have the option for some plates in better prices (even more comfort food) in order to enjoy more meals as a guest of the hotel.

The windows need to be refurbished. It was not easy to open them or to leave them open with a protection for the night in order to enjoy the fresh air of the place. Generally some furniture need to be replaced or refurbished.
