Great staff, clean room, and quite close to the city centre.
- Terrible sound insulation - we could hear every step of our neighbour's morning routine. Some sounds travelled perfectly trough the concrete so that each time the neighbours' toilet was flushed or the shower drain was touched, we heard it as if we were in the bathroom with them. It's a big structural flaw for a space designed for sleep; the night was short. The owners must know about the problem, since earplugs were placed on our table.
- The interiors look like a dentist's practice: white walls everywhere and few warm finishes. It's a shame since it must've been refurbished quite recently.
- Better options available at similar prices : the Beaulac at least has nice views and practically identical prices (and it's a 4 star). A relatively small premium gets you La Maison du Prussien with incredible interiors and a good restaurant. I haven't tried them, but I will if I ever come back to Neuchatel.
- I just don't see how the 8.5 is justified at these prices: maybe the competition is limited. I just thought it would be good to know.

The staff is superfriendly. Because the hotel was fairly empty they upgraded me to a much larger room. The rooms are not hypermodern, but extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel provides courtesy earplugs, but as I was staying on a colder day there was very little noise from outside. The bathrooms seemed fairly new and the room as a whole was immaculately kept. It included a coffee maker and minifridge. The location is amazing as well. The breakfast bar is a restaurant at night with local beers on tap and very fairly priced food.
The breakfast is perfectly fine if it is included in your rate (it was for me). I would not pay for it separately though, as it is mostly prepackaged/pre-prepared items.

Vending machine with alcohol options
Power in first room was not working. No check was done, but in the end alternative room offered. Noisy at times and aircons in loft rooms very noisy.
