Don't make our mistake - there's better options available

Great staff, clean room, and quite close to the city centre.

- Terrible sound insulation - we could hear every step of our neighbour's morning routine. Some sounds travelled perfectly trough the concrete so that each time the neighbours' toilet was flushed or the shower drain was touched, we heard it as if we were in the bathroom with them. It's a big structural flaw for a space designed for sleep; the night was short. The owners must know about the problem, since earplugs were placed on our table. - The interiors look like a dentist's practice: white walls everywhere and few warm finishes. It's a shame since it must've been refurbished quite recently. - Better options available at similar prices : the Beaulac at least has nice views and practically identical prices (and it's a 4 star). A relatively small premium gets you La Maison du Prussien with incredible interiors and a good restaurant. I haven't tried them, but I will if I ever come back to Neuchatel. - I just don't see how the 8.5 is justified at these prices: maybe the competition is limited. I just thought it would be good to know.

Excellent value for money, great location and very clean

The staff is superfriendly. Because the hotel was fairly empty they upgraded me to a much larger room. The rooms are not hypermodern, but extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel provides courtesy earplugs, but as I was staying on a colder day there was very little noise from outside. The bathrooms seemed fairly new and the room as a whole was immaculately kept. It included a coffee maker and minifridge. The location is amazing as well. The breakfast bar is a restaurant at night with local beers on tap and very fairly priced food.

The breakfast is perfectly fine if it is included in your rate (it was for me). I would not pay for it separately though, as it is mostly prepackaged/pre-prepared items.

decent hotel for the money. large room but with narrow hall ways for a wheel chair. breakfast was awkwardly spread across the dining room and no staff came to check if i needed anything, which was unfortunate but other then that! stay was good

Overall a good hotel, in a good location.

In my case, the experience exceeded my expectations, as I had booked a single room, but ended up staying in a double room. Overall, everything was of high quality.

The breakfast selection could be wider, including some fish. The room is not equipped with air conditioning, which may be inconvenient in hot weather.

Amazing!

Clean, close to the lake and the city, surrounded by good places to eat/drink coffee at. The staff is extremely friendly as well. Would definitely come back here

In the heart of Neuchâtel

The staff were wonderful. The sheets were so soft. The coffee maker was great, as was the shower. The location, right in the heart of Neuchâtel is perfect. A short walk and you are at the lake - perfect for a refreshing swim. Merci.

It would be fantastic if there was air-conditioning. I do realise that this just isn't possible everywhere. In this room, the fan was the best functioning one I've seen, so that's good.

We have spent two lovely days in this hotel.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of variety. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is also very central and one can reach the center of the town, the lake and the train station within minutes walking.

- Great location, close to the center and the lake and close to the bus stop and the funicular going to the train station. - Clean - Buffet breakfast was not included but it was worth the price - The city card that you receive for the tourist tax is worth it (public transport in all the canton and acess to many museums and attractions in all the canton).

- The price was quite high for what it is, and for what seemed to be off-season for tourism, but obviously this will vary depending on multiple factors so you might be able to book it for less.

Good location close to the Neuchatel lake and 2 minutes by funicular to the railway station. The old town with plenty of bars and restaurant is only a short walk distance.

Great hotel in heart of Neuchatel

Great hotel centrally located in Neuchatel. It was my second stay and plan to stay again. I got the same room as previously which was a big plus. Room is decent size, all whats needed is there. Big bonus for coffee machine.

Given its centrally located also means its a bit noisy from the street but they provide earplugs :)
