The check in staff is not very welcoming. She didn't print us the code for the tourist cards that can get us into many museums for free. However, the checkout staff is amazing, helping us with transport app etc.

Scammers Stay away!!!!!!

Location

Stayed for 10 nights and not even once the room was cleaned or new towels are provided. It’s annoying. Room cleaning 20CH a day Towel 9CH. The bins were overflowing and I asked them at least clean bins. People can ask why I haven’t paid the extras because it’s not explicitly said on booking and I don’t want the scammers like these to get what they want. Owner of this place please visit Uk and see how even budget hotels like travel lodge handle customers so nicely. VERY BAD

You get what you pay for...

Given the exorbitant cost of hotels in the city, this one is an absolute bargain. It's close to the train station, and has a reasonably priced restaurant in the lobby. The breakfast is basic, but decent.

The room I got was quite cramped, and in need of some maintenance (the skirting was peeling off the wall around the door frame). I also don't think the cleaning is done diligently; I had a terrible sinus flare-up while staying there, and I had literal cobwebs with a spider in the one corner... it was like something out of a cartoon. The mattress had outlived its useful life by some years, and while there was a cupboard with a rail, there were no coat hangers. A request for a late check-out was greeted by a blunt remark that it'll be an extra CHF 20 per hour.

A good base for travels around Neuchatel.

Excellent location on the same street as the train station and near the center of town. Excellent Wi-Fi. Clean and tidy. The staff is very nice and helpful.

A bit noisy during the day from the opening and closing of doors and, when you open the windows, traffic. But I got a good night's sleep.

Well placed hotel to explore the area.

Excellent location between the main railway station and the town centre; Its uphill to the railway station down to the town centre. If you don't fancy the walk there is a frequent trolleybus service.

Bed was a little creaky and basic. Room is basic; only one plug point for the room so bring a decent length USB cable if you want the phone close to your bed.

Would not advice this hotel to anybody else

Very poor! Most of the breakfast was not available (e.g., no bread). After 20 minutes they provided only two baquettes, where all the guest had to eat from. Eggs tasted horrible. Very bad service.

Staff was not interested in the quests. Rooms were loud. Breakfast was really poor!

It seems that the hotel is reducing its former services to the detriment of the customer. I had booked an economy room for 3 nights and the room was not cleaned even once during the entire stay. Although I understand that they could be saving on these services in the economy rooms, but they should at least inform the customers during check-in or during the booking. The tourist card which allows one to get around Neuchâtel was also not provide during check-in as they had none available.

Proximity to the city and the lake. Room was seems more spacious than expected and the furnitures were simple yet clean. Blue zone Parking was easy to find.

Breakfast could be improved because they serve mostly cold cuts, fruits & cereals were not that fresh/crunchy, and the incidentally the coffee machine was broken at the time of our stay. Also, in the evening there’s a sound that feels like someone’s opening the door. It could be when people are walking outside the corridor / upstairs. Also suggest to have a ramp going up the elevator.

the rooms are horrible, no refrigerator, air conditioner, no glasses for water, it was 35 degrees outside and the room has no air conditioning and it is impossible to sleep in it, we didn't sleep all night and we couldn't wait for the morning to leave, in short, horrible

It's basic, but the rooms are clean, the shower works and beds comfortable.

Being on the road, it's a bit noisy, especially in summer with no air con, you need to open the windows.

Deluxe room was good. Connected room with an other party felt insecure.

The location was very convenient to downtown and public transportation, with a short walk or a direct bus line to the train station. Rooms were spacious.

Having to complain about the noise from the neighbors (though the staff responded promptly). I got put in a room that had an adjacent child's room, but no properly lockable door between the rooms. I don't think that is appropriate both for security and noise reasons.

No unloading area, horrible parking, restaurant was closed during normal dinner time. Breakfast was a joke, coffee machine was broken, power kept going out in the breakfast area. Very seedy location. Granted, it was one of the lower price lodgings available in the area, but this accommodation is way past its prime.
