Neuchâtel City Hôtel - Self Check-In

The hotel is very well located; it is close to the train station and city center. The location I find really good!

First late Check in time which is at 15:00 and early check-out at 11:00. Second, it has self-check in (digital) which is not comfortable and creates queues and the help of receptionist. No Air conditioning meaning it was very hot, no room cleaning service. Overall service I would evaluate as low. Nobody changed anything during the days of our stay. Even towels were said that we should change on our own and find somewhere on the shelf (we could not find).

Great location for the old part of Neuchatel.

Car park access was very tight. Room was sparsely decorated and just functional.

Breakfast was good - broad range of choice - no hot food.

Could have been more helpful with explaining about the use of public transport.

Location was best thing about this hotel, close to train station and old town. Room was spacious, with nice view of lake (5th floor). Decent value for money.

no explanation sent until a few hours before check-in about self-check in modalities-without access to my email, I would not have been able to check in. Bedding was poor. Noise from traffic street-side rooms. Given lack of amenities in rooms, a vending machine for coffee and snacks would be a plus.
