Highly recommend Hotel La Furca

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Furca. The owner/staff were so welcoming, friendly and super helpful (thank you for telling us about La Pendenta suspension bridge). Our room was superbly furnished, appeared brand new and was spotlessly clean and perfectly appointed. We had a balcony which overlooked the mountains, our room was really quiet and bed incredibly comfortable. The hotel is very close to the train station; an added bonus for us. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant, breakfast also excellent. The hotel could not be faulted in any way. Highly recommend.

What is not to Love

What a joy to stay somewhere so welcoming and accommodating. This hotel offers everything you could need for your stay - 150yards from the station, spacious and comfortable rooms with great Mountain View’s, super shower, wonderful restaurant and food. We could not have asked for more - a must stay if you are coming to Disentis

Excellent stay at this wonderful family-run hotel in Disentis. The location is perfect — close to everything, cable car, and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. The restaurant offers delicious local dishes prepared with great care and fresh ingredients. Thie staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended

We were given upgraded room with fabulous balcony that had mountain views. Dinner in restaurant was "regional, home-cooked." Very tasty and fun to taste local products. Staff--gracious and helpful.

Very good price to quality stay in Disentis

I really enjoyed the stay. The hotel was good, clean. The breakfast was basic but very fresh and delicious. Parking spaces in front of the hotel. 2 minutes to the nearest bus stop. The owner was very friendly.

Really enjoyable stay, staff very friendly and welcoming, perfect location.

The family who run the hotel were all welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive and we had a lovely stay. The location was perfect for us with a balcony overlooking the railway station and beautiful views across the valley, chairs and table provided too, Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean with a good shower and comfortable bed. We enjoyed our breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant ( and our chats ) thank you, hope to see you again soon.

Hotel La Furca, was just fab, the staff were all amazing and most helpful. Bisera, Albin & Edin were all very friendly and amazing hosts. Good value for this area of Switzerland. I'll stay again should I ever come back.

Excellent friendly and informative host, even on a Monday when the Hotel Restaurant is closed gives options where to eat, history of Abbey and directions. View from balcony over the station to the valley and hills lovely

Only thing that could move comfort to exceptional would be to supply extra pillows, even if stored in wardrobe just for those who appreciate two pillows

Good location to access Sogn Gions, Disentis Abbay or the railway station. The young man was so kind and friendly as to help me to move my suitcase into my room.

Typical Swiss-German style hotel with very good food service

This hotel is what we reckon as typical German, or maybe Swiss-German though it is in the Retro-Roman speaking area. Clean and plain, with separate sheets on the twin-bed and with few decoration that however adds hardly anything personal to the place. So when you wake up, you realize: you are in a hotel. Still you sleep well here and the view from your balcony towards the Alps is great. The room is large enough with a desk and one extra relax seat. A good shower, enough space to store your belongings, everything well-lit and serviced (cleaned) when you are out walking in the mountains. Service is also good when it comes to breakfast, information or dinner. And of-course the daily refreshment of bottled water. Food and drinks are okay in this hotel. La Furca is, just as Disentis itself, not a place of joy or turbulence, but a good choice for spending a couple of days in Graubünden with many ways of going around and enjoying the area (lifts, trains, busses, etc.). Oh and another plus: the hotel is just 25 steps away from the railway station and you don't hear any noise from it

Like mentioned before, the style of the hotel is plain and impersonal. The bed sheets and the room can be a bit warm and opening the window is not exactly an option with the trains going just below the hotel.
