The best thing about the hotel is its location. It's in the middle of the ski area that you are completely cut off from the outside world after 8pm.

Quiet in the middle of mountain at Oberalp Pass, where rh train station is nearby, with a gondola and a lift station for easy access.
No alternative transportation to get back to Andermatt if heavy snow closes the base.
