Excellent stay in an ideal location

Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the beginning. We had a great view and could see the sun rise above the mountains, which was spectacular. Location was extremely convenient and central. The shuttle to the train station was a great perk, as was the free access to the spa.

Would have appreciated some shampoo, or knowing that there wouldn’t be shampoo provided. We also found it warm at times and couldn’t turn down the heating, but we did have windows! Breakfast could have been better; we found that there was limited variety.

Cosy

Pet friendly and very close to the Disentis Cable Car that takes you up to Caiscavedra. Cosy and simple. Great escape for a few days close to the mountains.

Comfortable hotel with access to hot tub

As I wasn’t skiing I was pleased that I could use the whirlpool in the next block!! Armchairs in room very comfy. It would have been nice to have an English speaking TV station besides BBC news - but understand I am in the middle of Switzerland.

Comfortable and spacious room.

The breakfasts were really good. There was a good spread of food available. I dined at the restaurant on my first night and the food was really good. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I was there on a motorcycle and Disentis is centrally located to do most of the spectacular mountain passes like Furka and Grimsel.

My room was modern and a good size, also very clean. Being on an upper floor and the Hotel being off the main road it was quiet. My evening meals taken at the Bar didn't meet my expectations especially at the prices charged (but this is Switzerland!)

Breakfast was very basic, no greens at all, and hardly any fruit, not very healthy.

Hotel is decent but location is poor for skiing during low snow season.

Hotel room is nice and breakfast is good. They provide pickup and dropoff from Disentis train station which is 1.1km walk away, which is helpful.

Location is poor if there’s no snow in Disentis- 700m walk to the nearest train station Acla for you to commute to other ski slopes, which is a bit far to walk if you are carrying skis and wearing ski boots. No good restaurants near the hotel as most restaurants are near the main Disentis train station. Housekeeping is inconsistent- they forgot to clean our room one day. Reception hours are too short- there is no one to contact after 9pm and there are no phones in the room. Even during working hours, often there is no one at the reception, but a sign to say that guests should get help by looking for people in the restaurants. Be prepared to use your cell phone to reach hotel staff.

Good

Good breakfast. Beautiful, spacious rooms, quiet location away from the main road through town, up in the mountains. Our stay included free cable car access to the mountains in several ski areas for hiking, and biking. Lots of things to do with the children, the little goats entertained us.

The hotel offers free wifi, but it was either real slow, or not working. Also, we were disappointed the restaurant and bar were closed on Sunday and Monday. There is a nice pizzeria, about a 5 minute walk from the hotel, that served really good food with good service.

No working wifi and couldn’t find amenities?!

Comfortable room; fine location, good breakfast. Free pass for local cable cars/gondolas.

The wifi was 100% useless in our room. TV had Netflix feature but also wouldn’t connect. We also could t find pool and wellness in other buildings across street with bad facility map and no signage.. ended up not using.

Great location and amazing spa

The hotel is located about 2/3 minutes walking from the lift. The rooms are simple but spacious and comfortable. The spa is quite large and was probably the highlight of the hotel. It has a heated outdoor swimming pool and a whirlpool, two saunas and two steam rooms. Disentis is a great mountain to ski on and off piste. We’re certainly coming back. Oh and the pizzeria is amazing, the chef won a pizza prize in Naples and he totally deserves it.

The room was cold, especially the floor and they don’t give you slippers. We told the receptionist but it didn’t improve much. Not a big deal since the blankets were really thick but it would have been nicer if the heating in the room was on.

The place is great for skiing, located right below the lift. It can almost be reached by skis. The wellness is great and the rooms are renovated and clean.

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, durchschnittlicher Service. Standard Frühstück. Grundsätzlich sauber. Die Zimmer sind i.O.

Komplett auf Hundebesitzer ausgerichtet. Unfreundlicher Nachtempfang. Als Gast wird man eher abgefertigt, als bedient. Preis - Leistung passt nicht.

Wir waren mit unserem Vierbeiner dort und sowohl er als auch wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Das Frühstück war in Ordnung; wir hätten uns noch mehr Eierspeisen vorstellen können. Das Essen im Hotel-Restaurant (Bündnerstube) war sehr gut und preiswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder in der Hoffnung, dass wir Disentis mal noch mit Schnee erleben.
