The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable .

The room was not great. The bathroom had no door. It led on straight from the door to the corridor. You had to close the bedroom door for some privacy.

We chose this hotel specifically as we had enjoyed our stay last year

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, having stayed there last year. We were travelling by bicycle and there is a very safe place for bike storage. The hotel overlooks the river and 'beach' and is close enough to the town centre for shops etc.

Lovely area

We've stayed in this hotel quite a few times and love the location and parking on the street outside is usually pretty easy. The river view is nice and the road outside isn't too noisy. The Air-conditioning was great. The restaurant food is usually pretty good.

The ceiling and walls of our room were paper thin and the people upstairs were pounding around for hours in the evening and we could hear them using the bathroom. Breakfast was very disappointing, no cereal or fruit. Dinner in the restaurant was not as good as usual and the service was very slow.

Awful owner

The location was nice.

The night porter, who is also the owner, was terribly rude. The fuse tripped as we were putting the kids to bed leaving the appartment with no light at all and some frightened kids. I went quickly to the reception to ask for help. I was received as a nuisance by the night porter who asked me what we had done to trip the fuse! "Did you use the hobs?" (we did nothing) He eventually came to turn some fuse back, so I could go back in the building. I had to go back to the reception when I realised the apartment still had no light. It took a while before I spotted the night porter who was even ruder than the first time. Not willing to help. Finished by shouting at me, and suggesting he would call the police or the fire-brigade. I was polite and smiled all the way through seeing how heated he became. I came back to the flat all upset and shaken. In the morning, when we checked out, I related the event to the lady at the desk. She apologised but sadly did not seem overly surprised.

Trop cher pour ce que c'est...

Le personnel était très gentil et le petit déjeuné était vraiment bon même si ça manquait de choix (œuf, bacon, pomme de terre...)

La chambre est beaucoup trop chère pour le rapport qualité / prix. Le lit est trop mou et le matelas est "creusé", mon conjoint n'a pas dormi de la nuit et il a eu très mal au dos. Le plancher grince c'est une horreur, on ne peut pas se déplacer sans réveiller l'autre. Les chambres ont de la moquette et nous sommes asthmatiques, nous n'étions pas au courant! Il n'y a pas de gel de douche à volonté, juste des petits sachets unidose comme des échantillons... pour moi ça ne vaut vraiment pas la note de 3 étoiles!

Cher pour ce que c'est

Emplacement, petit déjeuner, accueil tardif, vue sur la rivière, ascenseur et climatisation

Chambre pour 4 personnes avec lits gigognes peu confortables, dans TRES petite chambre, peu de prises électriques, salle de bains très kitch, néon au-dessus du lavabo non fonctionnel (en tous cas, pas trouvé comment l'allumer !) ainsi qu'une liseuse HS à côté du lit, obligée de prendre un antihistaminique à cause des acariens (moquette et/ou rideaux ?), un lit gigogne était encore en mode canapé alors que l'hôtel savait que nous serions 4, impossible d'ouvrir la fenêtre de la sdb

Bon hôtel au pied de la cité médiévale, et au charme un peu suranné.

Chambre (15) spacieuse et lit "king size" très confortable Situation en plein centre ville, et la direction nous a octroyé une chambre vue sur le Cher avec climatisation Lors de notre séjour pas de difficulté de stationner près de l'hôtel et sans parcmètre Petit déjeuner servi à table de bonne qualité (surtout les viennoiseries)

La direction conseille de ne pas ouvrir les fenêtres si la chambre est allumée (risque de moustiques) mais la route rectiligne entre l'hôtel et le Cher est idéale pour les motards qui font vrombir leur machine. Rien à redire sur la propreté intérieure de la chambre, mais il serait sain de nettoyer également la belle dentelle de toile d'araignée de l'encadrement de la fenêtre. Pas de petit déjeuner buffet, lors de notre séjour Attente systématique à l'accueil et pas de sonnette pour signaler sa présence.

L’emplacement de cet hôtel est top au pied du centre ville

Difficile de se garer proche de l’hôtel. La chambre est très bruyante et n’est pas du tout confortable. L’hôtel mérite une bonne rénovation ! Le prix de la chambre lui reste très cher pour ce type de prestation !

Le petit déjeuner est très bien. La situation de l’hotel en centre-ville très pratique.

Salle de bains à revoir totalement. Lumière au plafond très pâle. Baignoire joints usés. Pomme de douche encrassée par le calcaire. Fenêtre qui ne se verrouille pas dans la chambre. Moquette au sol, même si propre, un peu vieillotte.

Quand même bien !

La localisation de l’hôtel au bord du Cher et son charme des années 70/80. Hôtel qui reste tout de même très confortable et propre dans l’ensemble. Dommage de ne pas avoir pu avoir accès à la salle de restauration qui avait l’air extraordinaire. Aussi, le fait de pouvoir mettre nos vélos dans un endroit sécurisé.

Toutes les conditions n’étaient pas réunies en raison de l’état de santé du propriétaire : pas la possibilité de se restaurer sur place ni le soir ni le matin (mais il y a de très bonnes boulangeries aux alentours) et amabilité moyenne. A en lire les commentaires, ceux-ci montrent le contraire alors j’espère que tout ira mieux la prochaine fois 🙂 Le prix reste un peu élevé.

Le vieillot de l’hôtel, les traces d’humidité, la douche, pas de bouteille d’eau de café etc, du savon en sachet, des serviettes de bain bonnes à mettre à la poubelle, l’accueil du patron qu’il ne faudrait pas rencontrer !

Demande de l'hôtelier d'arriver à 17H et de départ le lendemain à 9H car il est tout seul. Vu mon étonnement, il a daigné modifier ses horaires. Chambres et hôtel vétustes, à tel point que cela donne un sentiment d'absence de propreté. Beaucoup de bruit de voiture, pas d'isolation des fenêtres. Vraiment très cher 98€ pour ce que c'est. Je déconseille vivement.
