Shifted to another mediocre hotel without choice.

This is a review of hotel belle vue - as we were bumped from Croix Blanche (the hotel we chose and booked). View of river.

First we were v disappointed to be moved with no notice (because we would have chosen somewhere else). Equally no apology or any mitigation like a complementary breakfast etc. Basically Belle Vue is v run down and we didn’t feel any hospitality etc.

Not at all what was expected from the write up. However, the room and bathroom were clean.

The breakfast was very good. Very close to the hotel is square with lovely restaurants. When we went, live acoustic vocal light jazz/classics was being played. Brilliant.

The photo of the hotel totally misleading. Clearly the only reasonable view i.e. from a very small garden, and one that led us to book, was used. The front entrance to the hotel is on a busy street. There is only on-street parking. There was no bar or restaurant available in the hotel.

No elevator with a lot of suitcases you can't leave in your car because there's no private parking. Old bedding and bathroom. Not that clean.

Rien hormis le fait de ne pas dormir dehors

Accueil infecte à 21h45. Au niveau de la chambre, pas mal d’araignées un peu partout, le lit principal cassé, des matelas très peu confortable. La salle de bain pas mieux, serviettes sales, cheveux un peu partout, baignoire bouchée et robinet disfonctionnel (fuite) avec peu d’eau chaude. Il faisait très chaud sous les toits, impossible d’ouvrir la fenêtre car il y a un bar en face ouvert jusqu’à 2h du matin ( cris et musique forte).

Bonne chambre familliale. Pas de petit-déjeuner. Pas de personnel présent.

Nous avons pu arriver après l'heure prévue de 22h.

Le gestionnaire devait nous envoyer un message avec le code pour arriver tardivement dans l'hotel? Message que nous n'avons pas reçu ni par SMS ni via Booking ou mail. Nous avons du fait déranger le gestionnaire plus tard qui nous a donné le code par téléphone. Nous n'avons pas vu le personnel non plus le matin. Pas de petit déjeuner possible non plus.

Super échange. La Croix Blanche fermée malgré la réservation acceptée. Le propriétaire m'appelle et me propose l'hôtel Bellevue à la place. Ce dernier porte bien son nom. C'était top.

1. La personne qui accueille ne présente pas très bien et est ronchon. 2. Le WiFi est HS. Donc impossible de travailler.
