Great location and private self contained accommodation in Chateau grounds.

The location of the Gite near Montrichard is great, but we chose to eat in Amboise which is a lovely location and about 8 miles from the property on a straight road. The property itself has a fully equiped kitchen and bathroom so feels like your own house, as totally self contained so very private. Its overall proximity in a chateaus grounds is also very private and secure. The host was very friendly and professional which is a huge bonus. Loads of hot water for a bath! Very clean property with all you really need for a private stay. Parking right outside and very secure.

Very minor things. No wall heater in the main bedroom and it was a cold night. No info in WiFi which is becoming essential. Usefully could do with a shower properly wall mounted rather than just resting on the bath tap. Decoration is good but a bit basic for my taste an a rug in the reception would make it more cosy. No historical link to the location as renovated ie all very modern. An info pack on the key contacts/history of the Chateau would be a bonus.

Nice historic location in château. Clean rooms. Committed receptionist.

Broken TV. Not functional Wi-Fi. No refrigerator. No cable TV. No elevator for people with restricted mobility. Reluctance to change the reservation when leaving one day earlier.

Difficult to raise the owner . No reception. our room was very hot. No option for breakfast. Just 2 tea bags and instant coffee with no milk. Very disappointing ….with one madeleine the size of a postage stamp

no staff on arrival, property was locked up, walked around the property for 40 minutes before someone appeared to check us in. The bar was closed so couldnt get a drink after a long day driving. There was no hot water in the room... very disappointing stay

Nice stay except for late evening due to darkness.

Location was good. Nice area in nature. Appartement that we rented was nice although a bit sober decorated.

Owner does only speak French. No English. We rented the apartment. But in late evening and night there was no garden lights, so it was extremely dark around the apartment and this was scary. We asked the owner to turn on some of the street lights, but she did not do this. Apartment should have garden lights.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 15 giorni a gennaio. Location meravigliosa. La villetta era calda, confortevole e dotata di tutti i servizi. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata cordiale e gentilissima. Consigliato!

Très agréable emplacement, très calme, très beau.

J’ai énormément regretté qu’il n’y ait pas plus de prestations, petit déjeuner en terrasse voire bar le soir. Le site est tellement magnifique qu’on aimerait en profiter plus.

Pas grand-chose

Arrivés à 18h30 au mois d’octobre. Malgré la réservation de la veille, Aucun chauffage mis en route. Petit grille pain avec une hauteur de chambre de plus de 3 mètres. Autant dire que la chambre ne s’est pas réchauffée. Et la literie est digne de l’époque du château !!

Endroit calme avec un grand parc, situé près de châteaux et de vignobles. Lieu insolite puisque nous avons dormi dans un ancien pigeonnier, très bien refait avec une déco royale ! Pas de petit déjeuner mais possibilité de se faire un café soluble ou un thé.

Une parenthèse hors du temps,dans un cadre idyllique, avec une hôtesse on ne peut plus charmante.

L'emplacement géographique parfait nous qui visitons les châteaux de la Loire. Pas de petit déjeuner mais une bouilloire et de quoi se préparer des boissons chaudes. Très joli cadre, chambre dans une tour, une vraie vie de château !

Pas de réseau téléphonique et pas internet mais ce n'était peut-être que passager.....

Le cachet des bâtiments, l'espace du parc, le silence, la fraîcheur naturelle de la tour pourtant un jour de canicule , la piscine. ( notre chambre était au RC de la tour)

La literie : 2 matelas superposés très mous. L'absence de réseau. Peu d'endroits pour capter et, si il y a bien un réseau Wi-Fi, il ne m'a pas été possible de l'accrocher.. Donc super pour déconnecter mais il ne faut pas avoir besoin de son téléphone, même pour recevoir un appel

Il castello risulta praticamente abbandonato e non più abitato da parecchio tempo contrariamente alle foto. La piscina è piccola. Il campo da tennis è pieno di erbacce e dimenticato a se stesso da tempo. Il bar è chiuso e deserto. Le piastrelle del pavimento e i lampioni all’ingresso del castello sono rotti così come le poltrone sono malconce e senza cuscini. La stanza che ci hanno assegnato non è nessuna delle foto: arredi vecchi, moquette malconcia, odore di chiuso, senza aria condizionata, nulla di moderno come nelle foto. La stanza era nella torre senza parti comuni e dove il wi-fi era inesistente e neppure citato dalla signora che ci ha accolto e che parlava solo francese. Se pensate di dormire qui per vivere l’esperienza di una notte in un castello, vi suggeriamo di abbandonare l’idea perché è solo vecchiume e desolazione.

Séjour parfait pour être au vert dans un très beau cadre, agréable et tranquille.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil, la localisation, ainsi que le cadre aussi agréable que tranquille. En plus, disposer d'une piscine par ces fortes chaleurs est un réel atout. Il n'y a pas de WiFi. Et nous avons BEAUCOUP aimé ce point. Nous prenons des congés pour nous retrouver et nous reposer, en cas d'urgence il y a la 4G, donc c'est largement suffisant.

Un peu plus de fournitures seraient utiles.

Sehr schönes Renaissance Schloß mit einem wunderbaren Park. Das Internet ist wegen des dicken Gemäuers in den Zimmern nur eingeschränkt verfügbar. Schade ist, daß es in dem schönen Park keine nette und einladende Terasse gibt, die für einen Aufenthalt geeeignet wäre.

Nous avons aimé le site et la piscine

Il n’y a pas eu de petits déjeuners or la réservation en comprenait 2 plus un enfant moins de 2 ans. Nous avons nous organiser différemment pour faire des courses donc écourter notre visite au zoo de beauval Ensuite la décoration était abîmée les rideaux accrochés sur les côtés avec des clous, pas de tapis de bain, pas de petites cuillères alors que c’est un cottage et qu’aucun point de restauration n’est prévu sur place. Aussi, il y avait un cafard dans la chambre sur le lit. Et quelqu’un qui klaxonnait devant nos fenêtres à 2h du matin plusieurs fois. Réveillant la petite. La bonde du lavabo était défectueuse et restait fermée. Plus de sopalin, un seul rouleau de papier toilette. Pas d’oreillers pour le deuxième couchage dans le salon. La prestation était trop coûteuse pour une nuit sans les petits déjeuners.

Content de notre séjour au gîte de la Ménaudiere

Le domaine est très joli, très calme et verdoyant. Il possède une piscine chauffée et propose une belle balade au cœur de la nature, autour d’un étang. Nous avons pu y apercevoir une biche venant de la forêt avoisinante, un réel plaisir. Avec des enfants, c’est l’idéal pour profiter du grand air, des espaces verts, … Le gîte est très beau également. Il dispose d’une terrasse et d’un jardin, à l’ombre l’après-midi, idéal en cas de forte chaleur (comme se fut le cas) pour profiter un peu de l’extérieur, car le logement n’est pas équipé de climatisation et n’a pas de volets dans toutes les pièces, il peut donc vite y faire chaud. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques, nous avons dû décaler notre séjour à cause d’un imprévus personnels et elles ont été très compréhensibles, nous les en remercions encore. Il y a beaucoup de visites à faire aux alentours : Amboise, Chenonceau, … le domaine est à moins de 10 min du centre de Montrichard en voiture pour se restaurer et faire des courses.

Nous sommes obligés de prendre la voiture pour se balader hors du domaine car les rues avoisinantes sont très passantes, pas de trottoirs, donc pas possibilité de se balader (surtout avec une poussette). Un peu poussiéreux à notre arrivée, nous avons dû renettoyer un peu. Attention : Il n’y a pas de services de bar et petit déjeuner comme indiqué sur booking, ce service a été arrêté.
