Fabulous location, great pool Although the shower didn’t work at the pool and the foot bath bit was mucky. Family rooms by the pool were beautiful. Room at the top of the chateaux was ok but very basic. Evening meal was lovely and service there excellent

Beautiful castle in a beautiful part of France.

Fabulous castle with beautiful grounds and swimming pool in charming village. Excellent breakfast buffet for 18 euros gave us a great start for the day’s activities.

A Chateau stay not to be missed!!

It is still so hard to believe that you can stay in a historic Chateau, slept in by royalty for just £150! Absolutely nothing about this place disappoints! It is magical! I feared the price may reflect a cheapened or commercial feel - but that was not the case at all - this place oozes luxury. The pool was a delight! Warm, surprisingly quiet (we were often the only people there). The chateau offers poolside drink service starting at €6, which was a wonderful bonus, and a free towel service. This was a special trip for us so we opted to dine in for dinner and breakfast costing an additional €200 food bill (breakfast & dinner in the onsite restaurant. €20 of which was a wine pairing - 3 glasses - great value!) The fine dining menu at €44 for 3 courses felt exceptional value for the setting.

It is almost impossible to find fault here, but I have a very tiny point…that is about breakfast. It didn’t feel as abundant and considered as other areas. I have loved to see more fresh pastries (croissants in particular), some fresh fruit options and alternative options for fresh coffee in addition to just warmed filter. Breakfast is entirely self-serve, so we found ourselves with a table full of dirty plates and no available clean cutlery.

Beautiful old Chateau. Room restored nicely. Old beams. Great mattress. Very good AC once you figure out how to use it. Great heated pool. Courtyard with fountain. Excellent staff. Good elevator.

Nothing but the stairs to the pool are VERY steep and not for the mobility challenged. You can drive down ask at the desk.

This is an amazing place! Beautiful and full of history. Our room was exceptionally gorgeous and comfortable. The grounds were also beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

We booked a room by the pool not knowing that meant a huge amount of stairs down to it. The staff changed our room to a closer one without stairs which was nice as we cannot do a lot of stairs at this point.

An experience in itself - will be back!

We were impressed from the moment we drove through the gates and entered the premises. History, charm and a distinct Chateau-feel charracterised the common parts. A lovely bedroom complemented by a spacious bathroom shortly described the Superior room we stayed in. People in search of a standardised hotel night should probably look elsewhere; people in search of an experience true to the region of Chateaux will rejoice.

What a charming little chateau to stay in! The red carpet, the mosaic in the bathroom, the fan in case it was warm, the extra pillows, it was all wonderful!

Relaxevous en the Lovely Loire

Special Thankyou to Matthieu for his patience assisting us with our poor French and advice on local trains etc. Lovely weekend stay in the Loire countryside at this classically stylish and comfortable Chateau .Enjoyed a very nice dinner at the Chateau restaurant .Property surrounds and garden aesthetically pleasing .close to cycle paths to nearby towns .

At this hotel standard we would normally expect simple in room tea and coffee making facilities . Could be a problem during a heatwave with no aircon .No room TV but sufficient wifi for Laptop or Ipad streaming .Very quiet local town with only a boulangerie within walking distance , sadly no cafe and one unappealing restaurant which seemed closed. Head to Montrichard for plenty of foodie /cafe/bar options

We requested a flat with 2 rooms for 3 adults. We got a bed for the third adult that was too short for any average size person. We felt short-changed as the price paid was too high for the accomodation. Staff is poorly trained and rooms need freshening up.

Good Dinner on first night but poor communication over Dinner on second night.

The location was perfect as was Breakfast & Dinner on the first night.

We had booked Dinner on both nights of our stay and had an email confirming this. However, on Tuesday we were told the restaurant was closed and they could not provide anything for us. This was annoying and embarrassing as we had invited friends to join us that evening. There is also nothing on the website about the restaurant being closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
