Location is good but that’s all

The location for the zoo. The hotel provided a fan in the room because there was no airconditioning. The staff was friendly.

It is a very old hotel. The hotel did not have any airconditioning which was no fun on a hot night. The room was warmer than the hallway! And the room was sooo small. Nothing to put your luggage on or a closet for your clothes. One small window which looked out on the parking place. The floor was not clean. After walking around your feet we’re very dirty. And the wifi does not work and there is almost no reception. The website said private parking but it were only a couple of spots on a very small place. So we had to park on the roadside. I think this hotel is not worth it’s money. It is only expensjve because it is “part” of the zooparc Beauval group which I don’t think it should cary that name.

Very enjoyable stay at Grand Hotel St Aignan.

The breakfast was fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Please note that there is a regular bus service from Blois to St Aignan which costs 3 Euros. We were not sure if it ran on a Sunday so took a taxi to Tours. The taxi driver told us it would cost 200 Euros but when we got to the station he said 242 Euros. We felt very much at home in the hotel and wish that we had more time to explore this beautiful town.

The WiFi did not seem to work very well at all.

A charming alternative to the Beauval ZooPark Hotels.

The hotel is only a short drive from the ZooPark Beauval. It offers a nice view on the picturesque river on the other side of the road, which is not much frequented at night. It has a nice bar area where you can enjoy an 'aperitif' before dinner. There is a nice vibe and friendly atmosphere transcending the location. The hotel seems to be run by young and enthusiastic people. Food cannot yet compete with the expectations in the generally high standards of french country inns (like 'Auberge du Bon Laboureur,Chenonceau') or other 'Grand Hotels'. But this might improve with time.

Very well situtuated right at the town. Free parking Clean rooms Very nice staff Good and decent priced food in hotel’s restaurant. 3 course meal without drinks only 20 euros.

No air contioning. In room 108 a paiting fell on head in the middle of the night.

Reasonable but some simple issues need attending to with facilities in room.

Pretty town with interesting church and ancient crypt. The family room had plenty of beds and was generous in size.

Property looked a little tired. We were in a family room at the top of the building. Very hot as the weather was warm. Fan helped. The handle to the bathroom kept falling off and then the same happened with the bedroom door. Other items in the room needed attention. I told them about the handles but got little response. Breakfast was ok. Only one coffee machine working which created a queue.

it was my birthday…we were in a good mood and accepted all in good spirit…the staff made up for the inadequacy.

it was interesting…they are trying to update but it’s not up to standard yet. in our first room we settled …unpacked…then realised there was no water in the toilet. we had to move rooms …pack up…down two flights of stairs…cross the lobby and up two flights again… the staff were helpful….but the rooms are not up to standard.

Le personnel très agréable

La chambre mérite d’être refaite entièrement. On dirait une chambre très entrée de gamme pour le prix payé ( literie pas trop bonne, finitions bâclées, lumière extérieure clignotante toute la nuit, on entend beaucoup la route, pas de rideau de la fenêtre de la salle de bain).

Bon séjour mais uniquement dans le but de passer les nuits près du Zoo Parc.

Le questionnaire que j'ai reçu porte sur Le Grand Hôtel or quand nous sommes arrivés celui-ci était fermé. Mes commentaires vont donc à l'hôtel Les Rivages de Beauval ( ambiance mexicaine) où nous avons été relogés. Très bon petit déjeuner. Le restaurant Yucatan pour le buffet à volonté est correct, même si les chaises manquent de confort. La forme des pieds des tables ne permet pas de se placer agréablement. Le Veracruz sert de bons plats. La chambre est propre, coquette, le ménage très bien fait. Nous n'étions que deux à l'occuper et nous avons trouvé la salle de bain petite. Belle vue sur St Aignan et la rivière. Personnel très accueillant et attentif.

Le confort des restaurants pourrait être amélioré : le style mexicain est sympathique, même si la musique est un peu trop présente. Il manque des nappes ou au minimum des sets qui éviteraient l'effet "cantine"pour apprécier les repas. Itinéraire un peu labyrinthique pour trouver la chambre : la décoration est trop semblable dans tous les couloirs malgré les murs multicolores.

Mitigée.

L'emplacement est top pour aller au Zoo de Beauval, le cadre est apaisant et reposant. L'hôtel est très jolie. Stationnement facile dans le parking privé et aux alentours. Commerces et restauration à proximité.

Pas d’ascenseur, donc pas très pratique avec les bagages. Lors de la réservation d’une chambre double deluxe, il est indiqué « avec baignoire ». Or, à notre arrivée, il s’agissait d’une douche. J’ai accepté la chambre, même si la baignoire était un critère important pour moi étant enceinte. Seul souci : la douche était bouchée. Résultat, près d’une heure pour se laver, à attendre que l’eau s’écoule pour pouvoir continuer à se rincer. J’ai demandé à changer de chambre pour avoir au moins une douche qui se vide correctement, mais la personne présente sur place le mercredi 24 au soir et le jeudi 25 au matin a donné l’impression que ma demande était exagérée. Heureusement, en revenant du parc le jeudi 24 vers 17h, une autre personne – très agréable – a immédiatement pris la situation en main et nous a même surclassés dans une chambre avec baignoire (merci à elle !). Le petit-déjeuner, quant à lui, est bien trop cher (12 € par personne) pour la qualité proposée : un camembert à moitié sec, trois tranches d’emmental, des fromages blancs marque Lidl, quelques compotes, un seul type de pain rappelant celui des cantines, accompagné de confitures fraise ou abricot. Lorsque j’ai demandé à remettre du miel, on m’a répondu qu’il n’y en avait plus et qu’une livraison était attendue le lendemain… mais le lendemain, toujours pas de miel. Quant aux viennoiseries (croissants et pains au chocolat), elles étaient manifestement surgelées. Franchement, c’est décevant. La seule note vraiment positive de ce séjour restera l’accueil chaleureux et le professionnalisme de la personne rencontrée le jeudi 24 à notre retour du parc, qui a su trouver une vraie solution à notre problème de chambre, et bien évidemment, la situation de l'hôtel, son emplacement, le cadre etc.

Hôtel de caractère, la vue sur le Cher depuis la chambre, la salle de bain avec douche spacieuse, et la sympathie du personnel.

Le prélèvement du montant de notre séjour un mois avant (à la réservation). L'insonorisation catastrophique des chambres (réveil vers 06h30 / 07h00 à cause du bruit des pas, et des portes qui font penser à des travaux). Le petit déjeuner tout juste basique, qui ne vaut absolument pas 12 € / personne

Seul point positif situé à proximité du Zoo de Beauval.

Rapport qualité prix pas au rdv c’est dommage. Cela n’est pas justifié à la prestation qui reste médiocre. L’hôtel aurait besoin d’un bon rafraîchissement. Petit déjeuner sommaire et non continental, un peu cher pour ce qui est proposé, au niveau de la qualité des produits et du choix.

Un bon hôtel 2 étoiles

La chambre était propre et l'hôtel est très bien situé. Le personnel de l'hôtel est accueillant.

Nous n'avions pas la télécommande de la télé. La cuvette des toilettes était à moitié cassée. La porte de la chambre ne descend pas jusqu'au sol ce qui est problématique du point de vue de l'isolation sonore et lumineuse. La nuit la lumière du couloir rentre dans la chambre et le matin on entend tous ce qui se passe dans l'hôtel.

Pas de pression dans le pommeau de douche, la chambre en RDC donne sur la court, donc sur les gens qui parlent à 7h du matin. Peu de choix lors du petit déjeuner. Chauffage allumer à fond lors de notre arrivée, il faisait 28 degré dans la chambre

Déçu !!!!

Impossible de trouver notre chambre seuls, la porte de la chambre était bloquée et impossible de l'ouvrir seuls. La chambre était sale, petits grains et poussière au sol, salle de bain pas très hygiénique. Extrêmement déçu au prix de la nuit.
