Excellent location for Bowness & access to the ferries. Car parking was very much needed & brilliant. Really good breakfast variety. Friendly hosts with helpful suggestions & ideas (& knowledge where not to go given weather/road conditions). Very cute Easter egg gifts (we were there Easter Sunday). We had the big room, which was on the smaller side, but perfectly functional if you don’t have lots of luggage. Bed and linens were comfy & the room was clean/dust free.
Shower was a little fiddly (it’s an electric one), but worked & was fine for hair washing.
Decor is a little dated - if that’s important to you - but scraping the barrel for cons here!

The breakfast was lovely and the host Adrian was very friendly and helpful. The view of the lake was lovely through our window and the gardens were lovely with a beautiful waterfall at the rear of the property. The cottage was close to town just a 5 minute walk away and close to lake Windermere.
There wasn't really anything we didn't like although my partner wasn't really keen on the hosts dog that was allowed into the breakfast room whilst we were eating and sat at our feet waiting for some titbits. There was dusty cobwebs on the ceiling and dust on some of the furniture but on the whole the room was sufficient.

Nice n clean and tidy everything did its job and the hosts where very nice to me and my son
