Angela met us at the VRBO, showed us around it and gave us some great ideas of things to see and restaurants to eat at. Small grocery store and cafe one block away. Everyone there was very friendly.

Our stay here was simply wonderful! Angela was such a gracious and welcoming host. She warmly greeted us when we arrived and was prompt in making sure we had everything logistically (restaurant recommendations, quickly helping us resolve the wifi when the it had an issue, etc. The house is really nice, spacious and you can tell it's been recently renovated, very clean and had all we needed! So great to have a full kitchen and a washing machine! Peaceful neighborhood with relaxing balcony. We didn't want to leave!

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath spacious apartment was a lovely modern flat with views of greenery and the valley far below. It is much prettier than photographed! Impeccably maintained, the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and the living room for relaxing. A porch around three sides of the house offers room to sit and enjoy the view. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. There was free parking for one car in front of the unit, which was fairly close to the restricted zone—under half a mile. And a very short walk from the apartment was a full-service grocery store which also had delicious prepared food, and a small cafe. Best of all was the host, Angela, who was outgoing and genuinely interested in helping us to enjoy her apartment and town. A terrific find!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this quaint apartment. The host was easy to contact and gave us a rundown on all the sites and best places to eat in Assisi. The beds were comfortable. Lots of dining choices and sightseeing all within easy walking distance. Our only complaint is we were a little bit cold. I should have had the host explain the thermostat before he left!

If I could rate rate higher than 5, I would. It started with Angela greeting us warmly and describing the apartment and the city thoroughly - even setting up a tour with a pedi - guide bike host who was amazing! The apartment felt like home - we stayed for 9 days - all the amenities we needed, parking right outside the apartment (big plus) and a grocery within walking distance. We loved this apartment, highly recommend and will stay again if we are ever back in Assisi.

This apartment was wonderful. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 2 boys. It was very clean, bright and airy. There is a nice kitchen set up. The bedroom area can be closed off from the living room area. It has a small porch with a wonderful view. It is conveniently located very close to a grocery store. We arrived with 2 cars and there are 2 free parking spaces right at the front door of the apartment. Angela was a welcoming host with plenty of tips and suggestions for getting the most out of our short stay in charming Assisi. We would return to this apartment again and again.

We made our first visit to Umbria in May 2022, and we are pleased that we could return so soon in life. Assisi is wonderful, and with no major festivities in February we found ourselves in the normal rhythm of the city. We are deeply grateful that we could stay again at this great apartment. As our prior review states, the family lives nearby and the service is flat-out excellent. Still. The apartment feels really large, particularly with all of the sunshine in the kitchen and living areas. As in 2022, the apartment still is spotless: clean tiles in both bathrooms, excellent lighting, comfortable furniture. On this visit in 2023, we rested and enjoyed our mornings relaxing inside in the living room. We love the fabulous terrace. The location is just a short distance from all that we wish to see in Assisi. Plus, right around the corner is a classic Italian bar and a full-service grocery store. In two shopping trips, we easily found all of our foods for breakfast, as well as dinner for one evening. (The grocery store also offers an excellent variety of prepared foods, but the customer needs to arrive early to have a good opportunity for all of the offerings.) We have stayed in several VRBO properties over the past year, and we do not hesitate to state that the pro service at this apartment in Assisi is peerless. We have big smiles for the kindness shared with us. Grazie mille.

The apartment was perfect! It is about a 10 minute walk into the main square in Assisi. The apartment was very comfortable for two couples. The kitchen has everything that you need. The host, Angela is terrific. She was so helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do and see in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Assisi is an extraordinary city in a region that is full of wonderful places and kind people. We made our first visit to Umbria in May 2022, and we hope that life’s opportunities allow us to return to Assisi. When we do, we hope to stay again at this great apartment. The family lives nearby and the service is flat-out excellent. The apartment is just as described: Brand new--with clean tiles in both bathrooms, excellent lighting, comfortable furniture, a fabulous terrace, and fast and steady WiFi. The apartment’s location suits us, but is a bit tricky to find because its street is one branch of a larger street. Still, the location is good: a short walk to one of the ancient eastern gates of Assisi and, by walking at a leisurely pace, we need less than 30 minutes to arrive in the center of the city. The streets of Assisi go up and down, and wind their ways towards lovely piazze. We were comfortable walking each day back and forth from the apartment, and the city feels safe, but to save time from a day’s travel (say, after returning from Gubbio) we prefer to park and step up quickly in the heart of the city. (We use il Parcheggio Porta Mojano, one of several good garages.) The location is just a short distance from Eremo delle Carceri, and along that road is a fabulous osteria with great foods and wines, as well as a commanding view of the valley. The apartment is so comfortable that, if we are fortunate to return to Assisi, we plan to enjoy at least half of the day (morning or early evening) relaxing inside or on the terrace. Just a few minutes away is a classic Italian bar and a full-service grocery store, and thus a simple way to find foods for the day’s lunch or dinner and meeting a few people of Assisi. Deeply grateful for the pro service and, above all, the kindness.

Wonderful experience. Angela was very accommodating and made us feel welcome immediately. We actually arrived in Assisi earlier than expected and Angela let us checkin earlier than we had scheduled previously. She provided us with a map of the city and pointed out all the sights of the city. The apartment is huge and beautifully decorated. At a nearby market recommended by Angela we purchased locally grown produce, meats and cheese to enjoy on the patio of the apartment overlooking the city lights. Parking is available at the apartment which was awesome.

We stayed here with two children and we all loved it. It was very big for us to all spread out, extremely clean, and the owner was an excellent host. Angela met us when we arrived and not only did she let us in but she stayed and gave us suggestions on restaurants, places to go, grocery stores etc. She lives in the building with her children, and during the days my sons fav thing to do was go outside and play with her boys. He spent so much time playing with them which was a really nice break for us to relax a bit. We would definitely stay here again!

This family run apartment is just outside the city wall in a quiet pleasant neighborhood. An easy walk to anywhere in the city and easy access to buses around town as well as buses down to the valley. Angela is the perfect host making sure all needs were met and questions answered. Angela and her husband were the best! They were so welcoming and informative and pointed us in the right directions for restaurants and things to see and do. We felt like a local right away. The apartment was perfect and so clean and bright and the location close to town was amazing as were the views from the spacious and welcoming balcony. Assisi is the perfect place to stay and visit and to see Umbria and visit other hill towns. Everything is so close by. We can't say enough good things about our stay at their lovely apartment. We had two nights in this lovely apartment. Angela was there to greet us and provide us with plenty of information about Assisi, places to visit and eat at. The apartment was beautifully decorated and comfortable, particularly the beds, after a long day walking in the city. We have stayed in many apartments in the US and Western Europe, but this was by far our most favorite and memorable apartment. Reservations were made so easy by Angela prior to our arrival, and when we arrived she was there to greet us. Angela is a perfect hostess, with so much great energy and charm and enthusiasm for this incredible city - and so much knowledge that she passed on with recommendations, etc. The apartment is even more perfect in person than in the pictures. It is very luxurious with so much room and all the amenities you will ever need. The balcony is spectacular throughout the entire apartment with magnificent views. The beds are very comfortable as are the towels, etc. The map on HomeAway makes it appear that it is outside the city. However, this is not the case. You are literally a few blocks from the gates and just a few more from the center of Assisi. Those few blocks from the gates really gives you the perspective of living with the locals. The neighbors are so very friendly. Just a few blocks away is the local grocery store and Ivan’s cafe where the locals have their coffee and it was so much fun to be in the center of this activity. We spent a week here in this gorgeous apartment and there is so much to do and see in Assisi, we wish we had stayed longer. This is a magical place and our hosts, Angela and her husband Luca are a beautiful couple. They live just upstairs and we were able to meet their darling young sons. Angela and Luca really made our experience one we will never forget. We can’t wait to return.

Marcela has a beautiful property and is very easy to work with and very kind. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and four children. We stayed here 2 nights on our month vacation in Europe. We found the apartment quite spacious, comfortable and brand new! Just lovely. It had its own parking as well. The only reason we give it a four stars and not five, is that there could have been a few more household items readily available. There were not any kitchen towels, or paper towel in the kitchen. Things that tend to be left behind or just added to in more “lived in” rentals were not to be found. So plan on needing to get plastic wrap or storage bags, paper towel, condiments, spices, etc. Marcela did have some coffee and tea that she had left for us for the mornings. The washing machine works, but was loud and took way longer then we thought, even on the express cycle. Also, it is a bit of a walk up to the walled city, up hill, and with children and a stroller, that was a small hike there and back. But if you don’t mind that, it won’t be an issue. There is a grocery shop right around the corner, but it closes from 1-3:30pm, just to let you know. Overall, it is a beautiful space that we would rent again. Marcela was great to work with!

Angela was an amazing hostess. She spent time to familiarize us with the city and other cities near by. She provided us great dining recommendations and was always available if we needed anything. The accommodations were terrific. They were clean, well equipped, centrally located. Assisi is a great city to enjoy but also a great spot to base camp for other cities as well. I would highly recommend staying at this place next time you are in Assisi- we would return in a heart beat!

Air con is dreamy and the local supermarket is cheap and has great local food. Espresso machine was the icing on the cake. Angela was a wonderful host and the apartment was perfect. It easily worked for my wife and I and our three sons. It is a five minute walk to the Assisi gate. For those of you using Rick Steeves walking tours...the apartment is right by where you start the Assisi walk. I easily recommend this for anybody. Easy access to Assisi, a grocery store, the bus, etc. Great hosts. And a truly wonderful city!

Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, blitzsauber, richtig gute Betten, zwei tolle Bäder, Küche mit Spülmaschine, Nespressomaschine, Toaster, Backofen, Gefrierfach, ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck, Töpfe und Pfannen, es gibt eine Waschmaschine, Bügelbrett und -eisen, also alles, was man für einen kürzeren oder längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Die Wohnung ist im Erdgeschoss eines Dreifamilienhauses, die Vermieter wohnen ganz oben, im ersten Stock wohnt eine andere Familie , die Decken sind recht hellhörig , man hört ziemlich viel von oben, uns hat das nicht gestört. Das Haus liegt in einer normalen, ruhigen Wohngegend nahe einer mäßig befahrenen Straße, also Autos sind schon zu hören, vor allem, wenn man auf dem umlaufenden Balkon sitzt. Keine Landidylle also, das sollte man wissen, aber perfekt für eine Erkundung der Gegend. Direkt um die Ecke startet der Wanderweg zum Eremo delle Carceri, die Bushaltestelle ist ein paar Minuten Fußweg entfernt, wir sind mit dem Zug angereist und haben uns mit ÖPNV bewegt, das ging sehr gut. Toll ist der Supermarkt Carrefour exprès ein paar Straßen weiter, dort wird täglich selbst gekocht und wir haben uns mit feinsten Gerichten versorgt, auch Fleisch, Wurstwaren, Käse vom Feinsten und freundliche Bedienung. Das Beste an der Wohnung aber ist die Vermieterin Angela: absolut hilfsbereit, immer gut gelaunt , gibt einem tolle Tipps über die Umgebung und Restaurants etc. und bringt auch schon mal abends selbst gebackene Muffins vorbei. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt hier und jeden Abend gefreut auf die gemütliche und schöne Wohnung.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und mit drei Schlafzimmern, zwei Bädern , einem sehr großen Wohn-/ Essbereich mit Küche sowie umlaufenden Balkon sehr großzügig bemessen. Ein reservierter Parkplatz steht am Haus zur Verfügung. Die sehr nette Gastgeberin Angela hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und ausführlich eingewiesen und über Assisi und sein Umland informiert. In der Küche ist ein Kaffeeautomat für Nespressokapseln vorhanden. Ein kleiner aber gut ausgestatteter Supermarkt ist nur wenige Fußminuten entfernt. In das historische Zentrum sind es etwa 15 Minuten Fußweg.. Ein insgesamt sehr gutes Angebot.
