We loved the character of the Palazzo. The bed was comfortable and the shower good. Great location near the centre.
Coffee and biscuits were provided for breakfast but we usually went out for a cappuccino.

Centrally located, clean, I got an upgrade to a small "suite".
Although some people here in the comments told that they got breakfast I haven't been offered it. Officially it does not seem to be included, which is a bit strange in a "B&B", but it is also strange why some people get it and others don't.

There is no air conditioning, and at 35 degrees a fan is completely insufficient. The windows are original with single-pane glass, which means the heat comes in terribly. The owner’s response is simply, “I don’t have air conditioning in my own home either.” For a private home, everyone can decide what equipment they consider necessary, but for a rental property, with these kinds of temperatures, it’s unbearable to sleep without climate control. I would neither stay here again nor recommend it to anyone in summer — you won’t be able to sleep.

There was a piano in my bedroom! It was easy with luggage on the ground floor. The location was great and the room was rather quirky.
The shower was a bit leaky, water seemed to escape the shower door, I needed an extra bathmat!

The place is beautiful, the location perfect, the staff very nice and helpful. I was late, but had no issues with the check in.
The room I was given was very cold and humid - which is to be expected from ancient buildings and normally it would not have been an issue. It is probably a bonus during summer (it gets hot in Piacenza). Unfortunately recent health issues left me a bit sensitive to those aspects, so I slept quite badly. I have been in other rooms in the structure and they do not have this problem.
It was my choice not to bring up the issue with the owner (I was just there for 2 nights after all) but maybe mention on your booking if you are sensitive.

I had a very positive experience with the owner (Paolo)- kind, available, and very responsive. The place is in a very heart of the city, so ideally located. Very clean, which was of a great importance to me.

The location is wonderful - five minutes walk from the main Piazza & close to the Palazzo Farnese museums as well. Good restaurants & a supermarket nearby. Room was comfortable & had character which is what I wanted; bare wooden floorboards, vaulted high ceiling, very peaceful.
Fine just the way it is.

We had an apartment which was right in the center of Piacenza. Very old style but comfortable. The owner was outgoing by upgrading us from the B&B to the apartment.
Not much to dislike here.

there is a hotel in a historic building with no reception =) you call to hotel (the number you can find in a conformation of your reservation) and the person tells you where you can find the key and where is your room. I was confused when I did not find a reception, thanks to another guest - he helped me. Anyway, when you come into the room, you feel like in medieval castle and just enjoy the stay
(1) did not find the "reception" fast and it took time to find the key (2) did find the log/pass to Wifi in my room, found it only in breakfast room next day

First of all - be aware that this is not a B&B (no breakfast), and hardly a palazzo. What you get is a room in a traditional courtyard building, typical of Piacenza. Just don't expect hotel levels of comfort and service.
However, the situation is very good - close to the central attractions in Piacenza. At the same time quiet, with a big comfortable bed in my room - I slept very well here.
The mini-kitchen was OK for fixing your own breakfast, and there is a supermarket right round the corner.
The building is old, and parts of the room are difficult to keep immaculately clean. But the cleaning was good considering this, and I appreciated the extra cleaning session in the middle of my one-week stay. Also good advice from Paolo on how to get a nearby bus to the train station.
The bathroom was quite narrow, up two steps. Since I am 192 centimeters, the bathroom mirror reflected me from my shoulders down - also the shower was fixed at around chest level. I also found the shower cabinet very narrow and kept bumping into the walls and the water control.
The lights in the room were a bit insufficient for dark November. I had a room on the ground floor, in the corner of the patio, so there was not much light from the window.
With the room size quite good, I missed a really comfortable seating area. The "vintage chair" was not very comfortable.

All bedrooms, dining room, and salon are very stylish, real old fashion designs. The calm atmosphere of history was very impressive and antique furniture and paintings impress me as well. We very much appreciate the breakfast (continental) service that was kindly provided by Paulo.
We would like to have a refrigerator.
