Perfect stay

A wonderful stay in Piacenza

We were hiking the Via Francigena, and after several days of roughing it we wanted a spacious, comfortable property for the night. We found it! Our room was everything we were looking for. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and well-supplied. Our host was exceptionally understanding of our arrival time and gave us the access codes until he could arrive. The location was great, very near to many restaurants.

Excellent relaxing place in Piacenza

Everything was really good! I liked this affittacamere (b&b) a lot. The location and staff (host) were great, and the room (upgrade +. thank you so much - how kind of them! Didn't expect it) was large and comfy, with excellent bed, bathroom, Mini colazione and coffee! All for a very good price. It was perfect for my one night stay (for concert) in Piacenza. I would definitely stay here again. Grazie mille! Highly recommend.

Beautiful, historic building, nice room, perfect location

The room and shared bathroom were very nice. The location was absolutely perfect. The owner/manager gave me a safe place to store my bicycle and took the time to show me now everything in the room and bathroom worked.

It’s a characterful building very close to all the main sites. We received a very warm welcome from Enrico who made sure we were comfortable, helped find bus times and was very happy to engage in conversation in English or Italian.

We were personally very happy, but guests should know that although the listing gives every impression of breakfast being available there is only a coffee machine in reception and a coffee machine and wrapped croissant each in the bedroom. Also the lift only goes to the half landings but Enrico was happy to help with the bags.

Surprisingly stylish and super friendly guesthouse, we loved it!

Huge, beautifully furnished room and bathroom! Impressive lobby, too, and with free tea and coffee facilities both in room and lobby. Completely quiet, and dog friendly too. The owner/caretaker was super friendly and accommodating, and even came back to help when we couldn't remember where we parked our car. Even our fellow guests were nice! And old town Piacenza is delightful.

The guesthouse is well hidden, in the old town, so we were concerned about driving in the traffic restricted zone - but the owner/caretaker sorted a permit for the relevant subsection. No parking immediately by guesthouse, as it is in the old town with very narrow streets

Disappointing. This place was much better in the past.

Location is very central. Room has a good size.

WiFi was not working and the staff just couldnt fix it. This was a massive problem for something that was included in the stay. There was no partial refund. Just unacceptable.

Pleasant

Very central location, large room and bath room.

No one was there when we got there had to call, they came right away but not great start. This was the only time we spoke to anyone working there. A bit noisy, you can hear people coming and going. The entry way was dirty.

Superb

A beautiful guesthouse that showcases a balanced mix of modernity (decor, amenities) and antiquity (the old building structure, beautifully maintained and highlighted), with slight touches of Asian exotism. Spotlessly clean room, large bathroom, good wifi, very polite reception staff (the owner?). Excellent location: the hotel is just a block or so away from the main square, in the old center of the city.

I only gave it a 9 because it didn't provide breakfast. The official reason, as explained on some wall posters, was covid - but since life pretty much returned to normal everywhere else in the country, it doesn't quite stand imho. Not a big issue for me, as the espresso machine in the room made up for it, but it's worth mentioning. Nevertheless, one could easily find a small bar that serves a decently priced breakfast almost anywhere on the nearby streets.
