Wouldn’t choose it but good for what we needed

Central to where we needed to be but you do hear aircraft’s flying over.

The pillows were terrible, some outside noise and the place is a little dated.

Overall good, experience ruined by unathorized deposit

Clean facility

Very unprofessional in terms of the deposit. One day prior to the stay they deducted around 1000 EUR without prior notice. The room itself is not worth 1000 even if someone fully wrecked it. No one gave them permission to take money from my account without asking me or the very least informing me.

Nice and clean but with hidden taxes ! Caution ⚠️

Clean rooms, good breakfast. A nice experience overall. Close to the zoo. The underground parking is a nice feature.

The only minus… big minus I would say is the fact that they blocked 100 € from my card without telling me that. I tried to contact then via booking but i didn’t got any reply. I had to open a dispute and got my money back after 1 month. Shame on you for that practice!!! 0 customer support ! I would have given you 10 because we enjoyed our stay but for this practice you and the lack of response for 1 month you deserve less than 5… I was indulgent with a 7 !

Recommended stay for visiting Hagenbeck Zoo

Excellent location for visiting Hagenbeck's Tierpark. Comfy rooms of a generous size. Clean and tidy. Very nice views across the local area from my floor. Direct bus to airport is five minutes away and the UBahn line to central Hamburg is similar.

No invoice provided via email on check out, even though this was requested. Some confusion over billing, which was easily resolved. Although the location for the zoo is brilliant, it's a little far out of the city and travellers should be aware of that. However, the direct U2 line from the UBahn station to Hamburg Hbf is helpful, as is the bus to the airport.

Not the best stay

Beds were OK and convenient garage. Staff was friendly.

Fire alarm at 6 in the morning with evacuation. It seemed from kitchen staff reactions that someone (maybe a new staff) had made a mistake. So could probably have been avoided with proper training. Many doors (fire doors and room doirs) slammed too hard. Shower leaking. Ventilation turned off when I left room, and it smelled quite bad every time when coming back. So overall not good maintenance. Soap had a very strong cheap smell that stayed on the hands. Breakfast not so good, fruits and fruit salad etc seemed industrial. Milk bottle looked dirty.

The mattresses are hard and has the “deep pit”. A bathtub on such big room would also give the extra comfort experience

Great stay for family with kids

All the experience was amazing, from the check-in, where my kid got to do her own check-in and go to choose a little gift from the pirate treasure, to the fantastic breakfast buffet and the incredible kindness and helpfullness of all the staff.

A fabulous hotel to enjoy a city break

The room was extremely comfortable and we loved the location. It was easy to get in to the City and we liked being in a quiet location. The breakfast was wonderful and the bar was a lovely place to relax.

Great place and easy to get around Hamburg

The staff were very helpful. The location and hotel are great. Walking distance to the train/subway. The room was massive . It has a great coffee machine in the room. The bathroom was also very large

The TV in the room was great and had issues. Also no English channels. The bath slow drained away. The breakfast is pricey.
