I would like to mention that the past two nights were very cold, and unfortunately the heating was not working. As this occurred during winter, I feel this situation is not appropriate or acceptable. Nothing, a mess

⭐ 1/5 – The Worst Hotel Experience I’ve Ever Had My stay at this place was a complete disaster from start to finish. The rooms smelled like garbage, making it impossible to relax. The bathrooms were broken, with leaks and fixtures that didn’t work properly, and the doors didn’t even close correctly, which made me feel completely unsafe. The staff was extremely unfriendly and showed zero willingness to help. Their attitude only made the situation worse. On top of everything, they canceled my reservation without any warning and blocked the access code, leaving me outside with no explanation. Because of this, I had to pay twice, booking another hotel last minute since they refused to provide any responsible solution. In short: a poorly managed, unprofessional, and neglected place. I would never return, and I strongly advise others to stay away. It’s better to pay a bit more than to deal with problems this serious.

Great location, easy access and very leisure approach to getting accomodation

I didn’t know where the breakfast area was

The room was plenty big with the basic necessities. The location near the S-Bahn and several bus lines was convenient. Good blackout curtains; not too loud WHEN window was closed. Breakfast was excellent in some respects but quite problematic in others (see below!). Bottle of water left for guest was a nice touch.

The room I had was painted a very dark shade of gray (unlike in the photos here, where the walls are light) and it generally felt very dark. It smelled somewhat unpleasant when I arrived. I paid extra for an apartment with air conditioning but was informed before I arrived that the A/C was not working and they had placed a fan in my room. Luckily it was not very hot and this was not an issue. The breakfast is not in the building but actually a 7-10 minute walk away at a local cafe. The breakfast itself is very nice; not a buffet, but several options to choose from. The latte was one of the best coffees I have ever had! Truly magnificent. BUT they only open at 8:00 during the week and 10 on the weekends, and there was no way to know this when I booked breakfast for all three days of my stay. I noticed on Friday when I checked in. I was leaving for a bus tour on Sunday at 9 am and had no way to get my breakfast, but I was told via Whatsapp that there was no way I could cancel my order for Sunday even though it was Friday evening when I sent the inquiry. There was no response to my follow up message via Whatsapp. The waitress at the cafe was very accommodating however, and when I told her on Saturday about my issue, she allowed me to select something else from the menu as a to-go order to compensate for the fact that I wouldn't be there on Sunday. Just generally speaking, I find 10 am very late for breakfast if you want to make the most of your time in Hamburg. Plus the added time of having to walk back and forth from the hotel and the cafe.

The room is comfortable and the view is nice.

The app they use still needs some improvement.

Apartments were functional and clean (bar a musty smell which was addressed on the second day), what we expected for what we paid. The location was convenient for us as we had family near by but would be a bit out of the way if you were going on a city break. Staff were nice to talk to (via whats app) but not efficient- see below. Customer service offered us a 5% discount on final night (very small amount) but this has not been received.

I requested a baby bed (we had a 5 month), this was confirmed by a once through booking.com and once through whatsapp. Just before our stay as this was crucial to us I re confirmed and was told that a baby bed would in the apartment. When we arrived it wasn't there, I contacted customer service and they were not able to provide this for the first night of our stay, we ended up with a nightmare of a first night as the baby didn't have a bed to sleep in. One of our apartments had a musty smell, I contacted customer service about this and they arranged for the apartment to be refreshed with an ozone machine on the second day. As a result of the smell, they did offer us an upgrade (Deluxe Studio), we checked out the room and it was pretty much the same as the one we were in so turned this down as we wanted both apartments to be near as possible to each other. Check in experience was a nightmare! Seemed straight forward but the online check in did not give me an option to check in for both apartments, I checked this out with customer service (via whatsapp) and they confirmed that both apartments were checked into and all was ok. Then a day before our stay I was again prompted to check in, I queried this with customer service to which they again confirmed that both apartments were checked in successfully, then on day of check in I only got a door code for one apartment. I again queried this with customer service and at this point I was informed that I had to check in to the second apartment and they provided a link which was quiet straightforward but it took over 3 hours of messages for them to confirm with me what guests were already checked in. When we arrived in the property one of the apartments was very difficult to access, it took us over an hour to get in. We also requested a microwave (to sterilise baby bottles) , once we arrived in the property and saw that their wasn't any (this was an oversight on our behalf) but could not be provided.

Handy for public transport to other parts of Hamburg. Clean and light.

Kitchen equipment was a little sparse.
