About this apartment rental

An ancient house overlooking a secret and silent garden in the heart of Como. A place to a bit 'magical to relive the atmosphere of the past, immersed in an oasis of peace.
Where there was an ancient monastery, today a charming residence is reborn.
A large living room with a large sofa and a large sofa.
Brand new kitchen with dishwasher, dishwasher, oven, microwave, crockery and everything needed for cooking and preparing breakfast. Nespresso and American coffee machine
Three bedrooms with 2 double beds and 3 single beds.
Two bathrooms with shower, hairdryer and courtesy kit. The house is perfect for families with young children. There are two cots and a cot, high chair and kit with dishes and cutlery for children.

You can relax in the outdoor area overlooking a beautiful and quiet garden.
Just outside the apartment you will find yourself in the pulsating heart of the city. A few steps from the pier for boats, the railway station for Milan and the airport of Malpensa and Linate.
You do not need to visit the city but the apartment is located in the
at the pedestrian area. Access by car is allowed for loading and unloading baggage. At five minutes a garage at € 10 per day and many parking lots
You will find a complimentary bottle of Italian wine, maps, books on the city and the lake.

We had a wonderful time in Como and The Secret Garden was an enchanting place to stay. Alessandra and her husband were so welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The space was gorgeous and had everything we needed. They provided great recommendations and even helped transport our luggage to and from the train station. Grazie mille! Highly recommended!

Allesandra went above and beyond to care for us during our stay, so many extras we did not expect. We did not see a hot tub as vrbo advertised but we did not want one. The city tax has gone up to 3 euro per person per day not 2 euro per person per day as vrbo lists. We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again. This beautiful villa is close to all the shops and restaurants.

Alessandra’s property could not have been more perfect for our group of eight. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. The grocery store around the corner was so handy. Alessandra is the perfect host!

This beautiful apartment is close to everything in old Como. Restaurants, shops, food store, the duomo, gelato (!), the central train station. Be prepared to walk the quiet, safe streets and enjoy the town.

Wow!!! I don’t have the words to describe how perfect our stay was! The space is stunning and was the perfect location for us to stay for the nights before and after our wedding in a nearby villa. Alessandra was a phenomenal host and she made sure to communicate all details about parking, check-in, etc. and was incredibly kind. We absolutely loved our stay here- it was nicer than many 5-star resorts. I definitely recommend and hope we get to stay here again on our next visit to Como!

My wife and I were very impressed with Alessandra's apartment, having been in so many others over the years in Italy. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms were completely stocked and the robes and slippers were like an upscale hotel. The furniture was very comfortable . Alessandra is very well organized, with tons of info on everything around Como. Lots of good restaurants and shopping close by. Grazie mille per tutti Alessandra Tom & Nancy

The place is absolutely beautiful. It is in a great location of walking streets. We had a car and we parked in a garage several blocks away. Had we to do over we would have taken the train up from Milan and not driven. Everything you will want to do you can do by walking. The owners were great! We would stay there again if we ever go back.

Positives: Very caring owner. Good welcome. Good communication. Great location. Tons of extras such as teas, coffees, toiletries. Beautifully furnished. Very modern. Negatives: Air conditioning by portable units that had been removed at time of stay. There were fans but we were hot at night during our mid September stay. Can hear footsteps from upstairs due to the old structure of building. Overall: We had a great stay and definitely would return.

A lovely apartment in beautiful Lake Como. The common rooms are very impressive, the pictures are very accurate. The kitchen is very well outfitted, while we only had breakfast and an afternoon snack in we could have prepared a full dinner with all the cooking utensils and supplies provided. All the daily essentials are provided. The furnishings are all high quality including very comfortable beds. Having a washer and dryer was also very handy. Finally we cannot say enough positive things regarding the hospitality of Alessandra and Riccardo they left us feeling like guests not customers. Riccardo drove us to the train station on the morning of our departure. Our only disappointment is that we didn’t stay longer.

Large modern apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Well stocked kitchen has everything you need and Allesandra is a great hostess. Restaurants, market and shopping nearby within easy walking distance. Sightseeing requires driving or public transportation but well worth it, Lake Como is beautiful

The Secret Garden is in a lovely location and is spacious. The heating was excellent, hot water supply no problem and the neighbours are quiet. The bed linen was high quality. Alessandra has thought of everything. The apartment itself is beautiful and in a great location. Walk out the door and you are straight into the narrow streets of Como with cute shops and cafes all in walking distance. The apartment is stocked with all the extras you might need.... pasta, sauce and even a panettone and bottle of wine!!!! We loved our time here and will be back soon hopefully. Alessandra was also very kind in helping us get medical attention for our daughter who had some ear problems. I give our stay 10 out of 10 and highly recommend this apartment and the lovely people who own it. Grazie Alessandra ... stai molto gentile See you again soon. X

Historical Sparkling Gem in Central Como, Italy

We had the recent pleasure of staying at "The Secret Garden", a luxurious and beautifully decorated modernized apartment, situated in the historical center of Como, Italy. Shopping, restaurants and markets are all just steps away and the ferries running to all points on Lake Como are also just a few blocks away as well. We also set out to explore with an easy 30 minute drive and day trip to Lake Lugano, Switzerland for sight seeing and lunch, which was a nice outing. We had dinner in the apartment after shopping in a nearby market and enjoyed having our breakfast in the bright and lovely kitchen. Our hosts were so kind as to have several breakfast items and coffee for convenience as well. I really enjoyed the sparkling bubbly water as it was quite refreshing after a day out on the lake. Another discovery nearby was the patisserie a stones throw from the apartment. The croissants and cappuccinos were an absolute treat for us, not to mention the chocolate shop. On our final night we found a romantic spot for a special dinner at Cibooooh. This lovely home will be one that we fondly remember, for the attention to detail, the pristine, sparkling marble floors and chandeliers and all the comforts of home. Our hosts were so gracious and we thank you for opening your lovely home to us and other travelers as it offered us a truly unique Italian experience. Alessandra and Ricardo we thank you!

Ce bien correspond en tout point à l'image que nous pu observer sur le site tant au niveau de son aspect (plutôt standing) que de sa situation au centre de Como. Le parking fermé est à 5 mns à pied pour 10€ par jour. Si j'ai trouvé les plafonds superbes il n'en est passé de même concernant la famille vivant au dessus. Pour le moins que je puisse dire, ils sont exagérément bruyants c'est dérangeant !!!!!! . Certainement dû à des planchers/plafonds anciens sans dalle provoquant des craquements intempestifs à chaque déplacement. Dommage d'autant qu'Alessandra est une personne accueillante et sympathique.
