Lovely cozy single room. Lovely atmosphere in the lobby. The owner/manager was very welcoming and friendly.
The location for the carnevale was second to none.

Room was a bit small, especially the bathroom.

good location
The location was in a village, I thought it was a hotel not a converted not a house.

location was great. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping team very friendly and helpful. Reception helped sort out a booking for the beach.
Local knowledge could have been better

The hotel is in front of the beach and the resort is really great for families or older people. The staff was nice.
The pillows are very tough to sleep on.
It looked like it remained in the 80s. , but in a comfy way...
My daughter had to sleep.on a bunk bed but half of the upper bed was too close to the underside and so she had to be careful how she moved...

The hotel is a traditional family run hotel which offers good value It’s near the beach and. Short walk from other facilities that are more upmarket and more busy so you can have both!
It’s a little dated but that is part of its heritage!

The location is outstanding! The staff are all very friendly and professional. Even if not all of them speak english, all are well informed and can help. When our flight home were cancelled there were no problem to prolong our stay with one night. The hotel has been run in the family since 1925 and you can feel the tradition.
Everything were fine!

The Hotel was close the promenade and has a variety of shops, bars, cafe and restaurant to suit all budgets. The beach lidos looked good but it was not quite the season to go swimming. They accommodated little dogs and were very welcoming..
The elevator was close to our room and I'm a light sleeper. We were woken up early around 6am by the room next doors television very loud and he was smoking and it filtered into our room sadly. We were very tired the next day for our trip as we didn't sleep well.

The location was exceptional especially for celebrating Carnevale! Also stored my luggage for me at checkout so I could explore Viareggio more before leaving!
They didn't provide free breakfast

Nothing really...everything suited my needs as I was on a low budget flying visit

It's not new but it's clean and has a perfect location. Stuff is very friendly and will store your luggage if you need to. It's more to choose if you stay for few days than 2 weeks. We stayed 3 nights and we can't complain.
Requires renovation. Thin walls.

location is perfect facing the beach and my room had a balcony which wasn’t expected
room was very basic, though this was no problem for me.

I loved the room I got on top floor with the most amazing beach/sea views. The location is perfect, right on the promenade and where all the major shops begin. Very nice to have a fridge in the room and there is a supermarket close by. The staff is very nice, Andrea was amazing and so helpful and fun to talk to. He did everything he could so I could have a perfect stay. Grazie mille! I will stay there again :-)
No table on the balcony, only chairs.

The stuff was nice and very helpful.
The hotel's guests get the umbrella and sunbeds cheaper on the "Marco Polo" beach.
If you stay longer, you can get parking tickets cheaper in a trafik.
In the paid parking zoneses you have to pay attention to on which day and at what time the cleaning takes place!!! You have to find another parking place for that time, otherwise you have to pay a penalty.
(But it's not the Hotel's fault.)

the location
the double room was fine but the single room in the 4th floor was awful - horrible furnishings, uncomfortable bed, dirty walls, smelt very bad in the toilet, noisy air conditioner, no sound proofing so heard everything in the next room and the cigarette smoke came straight into the room, so room smelt awful.

very clean, fantastic localisation, and the great family that owns the hotel for almost 100 years, that helped us so much when our boy get lost in street and immediately owner of the hotel enter his car and went with us to look for him.
a big hug Andrea from Tavares family

very close to the beach, had a balchony facing the beach. breakfast was fine. mostly clean room. some of the staff was good in English and very Nice.
some of the staff knew very littel English and there were not-alive mosqitos on the wall.

Great location right on the promenade so close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean but dated - all the decor was around the carnival. The loo seat was broken in the bathroom and the bed had a foam mattress which was so uncomfortable and hard. However we had a balcony and view of the sea which was lovely but being on the promenade be ready for a lot of traffic noise through the night. Continental breakfast was ok. There’s a lift for the upper floors which is good.
Quilts without covers, blankets that you didn’t know if they were clean. Was very hard to get parked (the hotel actually doesn’t have dedicated parking it seems) so drove round and round til we got a spot... then the meter refused all of our cards so we had so search for enough euros.
Hard bed so slept really badly with the traffic noise too.

Staff was amazing, breakfast was great, and you can't beat the location. Overall a great place to stay.
The giant heavy key was a little strange. Nothing eles to complain about!

Location is great, just across the beach, lot of restaurants nearby, though Viareggio is not really a historical town, so if you are looking for sights to see, this is not the best place.
For this price I expected a lot more, the room was super small, could barely fit 2 people, really only good for staying the night, nothing else (so small you cannot even walk around the bed properly). Hotel and room in general old and shabby, not clean, walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the other rooms and the corridor. If you would like to get some rest, keep looking as getting a proper night's sleep is not possible here. The place could really use some renovation to make it feel and look more clean and hygienic.

Great location, everything worked and was comfortable
Rooms could do with a facelift
