The sauna was okay

The receptionist was rude and unprepared. I made a parking reservation which they confirmed in advance, but when I arrived they didn't have any parking cards left. I asked about the spa area, and the receptionist gave me the wrong instructions. The bed frame had one of its legs broken. The shower doors were broken, and the coffee maker was dirty. Even the capsules were destroyed on the outside. The floor was dirty, and some toilet amenities were missing. Literally a two star hotel at maximum.

Good location, nice sauna but bring your own bathrobe and ask for a modern room!

It’s well situated near the beach promenade. We also enjoyed the sauna, which was one of the major reasons for booking this hotel.

For the price we paid for a family room, the state of it was shocking. Really old around the edges, sad, old fashioned decor, a shower screen that was barely holding together, nothing in the mini bar, no nice gestures like a bottle of water. In fact, there were not even glasses in the room, just paper cups. One major minus point was that there were no bathrobes, towels or slippers for the spa. That was all extra on top of a ridiculously high room price. Breakfast was all hyper processed products. Bread rolls straight from an industrial pack, proceeded yogurts, cold bacon…you’re not going to get delicious food from the local bakery here or artisan cheeses and jams.

Everything was excellent!

We were pleasantly surprised by champagne for breakfast, as well as free Belgian waffles and soup for Halloween. The view from the window to the sea is amazing!

Great stay for a family

Large room. The breakfast was very nice. Lots of choice in bread and pastries. The swimming pool and spa were great. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves. It nicely located near the beach and the city centre.

Our room was hot. we could not work out the airco.

Location, children loved the pool, it didn’t seem crowded, friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet.

Our room seemed outdated. Also it was near the elevator so rather noisy. Parking was difficult and we were not aware of the extra cost before we arrived.

Excellent facilities for kids but no wifi signal in room

Excellent kids play area. Nice swimming pool. Spacious room with two comfortable large double beds. Very close to the beach.

No wifi signal in our room and reception were unwilling/unable to do anything to help. Their explanation that it was a problem everywhere in the hotel was untrue as there was wifi signal in the corridor and immediately by the door of the room. Hot food at breakfast was not refilled/replaced often enough. Lack of sockets near the bed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hote Bero, I was a little anxious before the visit regarding some negative views. However

The pool though cool was never busy and we all loved it including our kids 11 and 13. We loved the saunas and steam room too, no need to book anything. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet too. The food was tasty and fresh and renewed as required. Our room was perfect and we enjoyed being close to the beach.

The pillows could have been comfier though I found the bed comfy. The water pressure wasn’t great from the shower in our room but the showers in the spa were brilliant.

Breakfast was really good quality with plenty of choice. Pool was a bit cold but still nice. The sauna/steam room were also lovely. Staff was friendly and allowed us to use the pool and steam room even after checkout without any issues.

There was no parking and the parking in the garage next door costs €27 per day and this isn't advertised anywhere on the website so it's a hidden cost.

Solid hotel. Good breakfast. Nice pool, no reservation needed, and kids can swim the whole day, which was the reason to choose this hotel.

No airconditioning or ventilation; had to sleep with windows open even in April. I would not stay in this room in the summer. No restaurant in the hotel, which is rather inconvenient and food options in the immediate area are not suitable for small children, too noisy and full of grill smoke.

Good size of room; good spread of breakfast items (included in the room price); friendly and helpful staff

Minor issues: one light in the room was flickering, another didn't work at all and another was missing its shade. These issues couldn't be resolved during the stay but didn't impact on it. The implication was that these features were not checked as part of the preparation of the room.

horrible/scam

worst experience ever. booked a suite, the room was already occupied by someone else (we got the keys and discovered ourselves than someone else was already in the room), all the other rooms were booked. receptionist gave us a room (18sqm next to the elevator) in another 3 stars hotel, refused to price match until I showed him with the app the price of the other hotel, disguting behavior. receptionist tried to fool me with the reimbursement (or was it a mistake I don’t know), showed me a screen stating transaction cancelled while it should show me a reimbursement statement. do not go there, do not book there.
