I really recommend staying at Het Wapen van Rhoon

Warm and lovely room, comftable bed, modern bath. Private parking place, which is quite an asset in the Netherlands. Friendly host and staff, pleasant ambiance in the restaurant of the hotel.

Nothing, but a chirch clock nearby (50 meters away) anounced the time every hour and all half hour. :)) Also, there is no lift/elevator, so you have to carry your luggage on the tiny and spiral staires by yourself to the first flour. But this it is quite normal for the Netherlans.

Weekend Stay

The quality of the room and ensuite was exceptional, as was the information from staff upon arrival. The location of the hotel is great, with extremely easy access to the local metro station to get to Rotterdam Central in a matter of minutes, as well as local convenience stores also.

Very difficult to find any areas for improvement! Only issue encountered was upon checking out there was no staff to speak with to confirm any details, however was able to leave key at reception and exit the premises with no problem.

Great little place

Location for me was fantastic. It's in a quiet location so a good rest was easy. The restaurant offers good food at a good price. Staff were exceptional.

The only issue would be the stairs up to the rooms. They are awkward and if you are unsteady on your or need assistance this may not be the place for you.

Paid for breakfast on arrival we were advised of the times for breakfast but no one was there 40 minutes waited still nothing We did not get any breakfast and NO refund.

This is not an Hotel, this i can call a Dorm or soemthing else, no service, nothing.

Worst customer service can one gets ever! no one knows what to do, and a lot of miscommunication between the personnel in the Hotel and their Office, we had very bad experience there!

Cute Hotel, but really bad service and not that much for breakfast

The Hotel is cute and in a nice, quiet neighbourhood.

when we arrived, they had closed the Hotel. They knew we were checking in late, but they did not inform us that they were closing, did not try to contact us to check when we were arriving. We had to drive around Rotterdam in the night to find a Hotel. When we told them the next day they did not apologize and showed no sign of remorce. One of us paid before arriving and they did not help at all with giving him money back for the night he did not stay there. The breakfast was pretty small and not worth the money. The rooms had no aircondition, only a very old fan, it was over 30 degrees outside. You should not bring too much luggage here, this is an old Hotel with narrow and steep stairs where it is very hard getting your luggage up. When we were supposed to check out, there weren’t anyone there to help us. The doors were closed and we had to call someone in order to get them to come and help us.

Advice that we would arrive late. Calling several times at 21.30 , no answer and by arring 23.30 all cloose and contat nr and no posible and needed to start to find another hotel

Hot and cold

The location is good, a quick ride to Rotterdam center. Free parking is great and the bar and restaurant look really nice and modern.

There was no warm water but maybe that's a wicked way to balance the boiling hot room where you can't open the old windows to get air properly. It's a pretty safe place though, I could tell by the fact that all the guests including myself had to keep our room door open trying too cool the rooms. Cleaning can be improved as there is dust laying there for a few weeks. Also, my room was definitely not the one from the photos as it was way smaller. Unfortunately, there was nobody at the reception upon check out who I could share this feedback with so I'm sharing it here, maybe you will read this sooner than my private messages.

Nice old building on a good location. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Breakfast was good.

Extremely hot in the rooms due to all-day sun, windows that do not open properly, no airconditioning. No warm water for showering during our stay so showering was rather ‘refreshing’. Dinner was not possible as the kitchen was to busy (terrace and restaurant were half full at best). Having to pay upon arrival was unusual. Staff was not very accommodating. All in all a sub-par experience. For next business trips we’ll look for a different location.

Just a beautiful quiet location away from the buzzling city cebtre of Rotterdam

This beautiful location was spot on. About 100 metres from Rhoon metro station where you could travel the 7km into the city centre in no time.

In the evening and night you could hear noise from the bar. The windows were poorly isolated, letting alot of noise into the room. After 12 PM it was always quiet

Would not stay again

The hotel was okey for one night, but nothing more. Always nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Room is clean. Located in a green rural area.

Located in an old building with very old window frames, which a grown up man can hardly lift, and.. no stopper to keep the frame up=open. No central air conditioning, just an old movable air conditioner which actually serves rather as a ventilator, as it produces no cold air. Some of the rooms are facing the church with bell tower, so expect to hear the bell every 30 min.
