Very comfy beds! Tasty breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Great have air con and the view over the river was lovely.

Location is good and the room is convenient with great view.

Check in process was horrible. We arrived before 15:00 and the receptionist refused to even check if our rooms are ready. She just told us to come at 15:00 as this is the official check in time. At 15:00 there was a line of 50 people waiting to get their rooms but one we finally got to the reception desk (an hour later) we were told that there are no keys, and we have to wait for a stiff member that will escort us to our room and open it for us. We were on a tight schedule (we came for the jazz festival) and by the time we got our rooms we were already late. Same thing happened when we came back from the festival at 01:00. No keys. Had to wait 40 minutes for escort to our rooms. Only on our second day we got a key During the first two days we didn’t have WiFi in our rooms and had to pay for cellular web access. The whole experience was very unpleasant and inconvenient.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre for three nights, and overall, it was a very good experience. One of the best features is hands down the location—you’re right in the heart of the city with easy access to public transport, shops, and major attractions. Whether you're walking along the waterfront or heading to the Markthal for a bite, everything feels just a short stroll away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with large windows offering a lovely view of the city. The bed was particularly comfy—ideal after a long day exploring. That said, there’s still room for small improvements, perhaps in the facilities or value for money depending on the season. But if what you’re after is convenience, a stylish atmosphere, and a solid base to explore Rotterdam, this hotel really fits the bill. ✅ Pros: Excellent location, comfortable bed, helpful staff ❌ Cons: Could improve on amenities for the price

Poor

Location.

There were construction activities in the entrance of the hotel. We were informed for this only a week before our arrival. Once informed they did not give us the option of cancellation and refund. I would have cancelled our stay at this hotel since we went there to relax. I did not like the fact that elevators and doors on the entrance were open for everyone. The system using hotel cards to open entrance and use elevator was not working. We mentioned that to the reception for safety purposes especially at night (Anyone could enter from the construction area door and knock on your door). It was repaired the second day. They made us feel awkward whenever going to the reception for information or requests after our complaints (not friendly). All night people walking on the corridors of the hotel making noise and disturbing our sleep. During breakfast, more than 45 minutes waiting for new food to be served. A lot of people waiting on the Buffett to be filled and at the end it was not enough. Exhaust fan in one of our rooms was damaged and causing too much noise . Finally, rooms are very small and the toilet doors do not provide any privacy. Telephone inside the rooms was not working.

Good for one night.

Location was good, close to restaurants, shops and the cruise terminal. Staff were polite and very helpful.

Hotel was under renovation so barricades everywhere. The room was ok but had an industrial feel. Bathroom was poorly laid out with ridiculous styling of tiles that mimicked exposed old floor boards . There was also noise coming through from the rooms above.

Unfortunate turn of events

The location of the hotel was very good just out of the town with easy access across the city, I personally had a good view and the staff were polite.

The hotel was under renovation, this means facilities were unavailable which to me is disappointing as the gym and pool were key hence why I booked the hotel. A handful of the staff seemed unwilling to help, to be honest I feel that the cost wasn't worth the stay. I understand that even underworks a business should still be able to run to a degree but that should have been highlighted in the description and a deduction in price should also have reflected that.

- we were told with 1 week to go (despite booking 5 months in advance) that the pool was out of action - we were told we could still use the sauna and steam room, this was not the case - parking was expensive - no baths inside the rooms - hotel was in the middle of being re-furbished which was not explained when we booked

Terrible experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre

View is very nice if don't take into account very dirty windows.

Avoid DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre if you don't want to ruin your trip! I highly do not recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre! My stay here was simply a nightmare. I booked a Delux King room with a large bed in advance, ahead of the Easter holidays when finding available accommodation is extremely difficult. Upon arrival, I was met with an unpleasant surprise – the room had two single beds. When I inquired about the discrepancy with my booking, the manager stated with a stone-cold face that there were no rooms with a large bed available and that it was supposedly Booking.com's problem. A complete lack of customer focus! I showed my booking confirmation which clearly stated the bed type, but in response, I only heard an indifferent, "That happens." In addition to this, the hotel is undergoing renovation work, which they informed me about via SMS only after I had made the booking. For me, as someone with asthma, this became a serious problem, as construction dust could have triggered an attack. If this information had been available before booking, I would never have chosen this hotel. When I asked to be provided with the room I had paid for or offered adequate compensation, I was only given two options: accept what was available or cancel my booking during the holiday weekend when everything around was fully booked. No apologies or attempts to resolve the situation were made. I consider this attitude towards guests absolutely unacceptable. The hotel did not fulfill its obligations, showed no respect for the customer, and created a lot of inconvenience. Stay away from DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre if you don't want to spoil your trip!

Disappointing stay due to renovations and staff lack of service

Location was very central Bed and pillows were good

Given room close to the busy road junction so the noise was terrible at night. We booked a harbour view and was told w Were as full. Would have possibly had different experice. However, there is serious renovation at the hotel which we are unaware of. They started at 8am in the week. The corridor from reception to the elevators is not lit and it's dangerous at night. Coming out of the elevator on our last morning our exit was blocked by large delivery of mattresses. It was chaos. The breakfast items were not restocked We had to ask staff for items whilst looking at empty trays. There were at least 2 managers and 5 staff but still couldn't cope with not many guests It was 930 and breakfast finished at 1030 so it was not at the end of service. Not good at all.

Most of promised facilities such as a swimming pool and half the spa area were closed, which was not clearly communicated. Terrible spa, hammam with plastic seats, sauna with wobbly and unstable wooden construction, barely warm. The room was dirty upon the check in, however staff apologized with a free drink voucher.

Overall my stay was good and relaxing

The breakfast was fantastic,the bed was great.

I had roomservice the night before and when i came back to my room the cleaning lady made me bed but not takeaway my trash and empty tray of the night before.

Unfulfilled Breakfast Request and Poor Customer Service

Good position

I found the reception staff to be neither polite nor adequately trained to handle customer service situations. This experience has left a negative impression on my stay. I checked out of your hotel before the designated breakfast time and had requested a breakfast box, as I was assured it would be ready upon my departure. However, when I arrived at the reception, the breakfast was not prepared, and I was asked to wait. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was informed that the breakfast could not be provided because the chef was unavailable. This was extremely disappointing, and due to the delay, I ended up missing my train. To make matters worse, I have not received any response from the hotel regarding the issue, nor have I been reimbursed for the breakfast that I had paid for in advance.

hotel was under renovation and wasn't made aware before visit. Couple things in room weren't finished off, no screen on shower, full bathroom would get wet when showering. Could see mattress at end of hallways. Came back and our room number was missing, with just a open hole, where number should be. didn't feel safe and things unfinished with the renovations and still charged full price.

Decent hotel with nice rooms but in a weird limbo transition state as it's converted to a Doubletree

Hotel was clean and the rooms were fresh and comfortable with a good view of the harbour.

Entrance was pretty dark and unwelcoming, very inconsistent staffing, didn't receive the same service as a friend who was checking in at the same time. Went to our room and found someone in it, door keys stopped working every day which was a pain top resolve especially when it was busy at reception.

We liked the location, everything within walking distance. The metro and tra. Is right outside the hotel. The views from the hotel room is really nice!!
