Austrian hospitality is in a class of it's own and the Sonnhof Hotel is no exception.

The Sonnhof Hotel has all the charm of traditional Tyrolean accommodation. The breakfast and evening meals were exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The spa was wonderful which was greatly appreciated following a hard day skiing.

Most of the staff were very pleasant and service oriented. One was below expectation in the dining room on Sunday. Hopefully that was a temporary

Enjoyable stay in lovely Austrian Hotel

Wonderful hotel in the centre of Neustift with very friendly, helpful staff. Room was ready when we arrived earlier than expected - hotel had upgraded us to a suite which was a lovely unexpected surprise. Great views down the Stubaital from balcony. Very comfortable bed and large ensuite area. Very good and comprehensive breakfast. Good quality evening meals though limited choices Wished we were there for a longer stay and we hope to visit again

The staff were exemplary, the location was superb. The food was absolutely delicious and the view from the room was amazing. I will definitely be back in the Autumn.

Good basis for walking holiday in Stubaier Alps, not worth 4 stars

Good simple basics, balcony, ok breakfast/half board, excellent choice of tea and bread Very quiet Sometimes nice food-surprises, e.g. gala dinner, kaffee & kuchen afternoon, bbq-evening Nice sauna-, although only half of the services were working Very nice and competent staff (owners bit cold though, and "new" girl not competent at all) Perfect location as a basis for a hiking holiday, lifts and public transport included in price, thanks to lifts many many gorgeous (and feasible without being a top-athlete) walking options. Beautiful views on mountains, nice village

Except the "sauna-welt" the hotel is not worth 4 stars. It's 3 stars. Food hygiene could be better, found 3 times molded/rotten fruit/milk at the breakfast buffet. Except some "fake (powder based) eggs", not hot food at breakfast. Half board: kitchen kept forgetting dietary requirements, often no vegetarian alternatives. Sauna-area not super clean Very small bathroom, no place to put toiletries - room very simple, e.g. no fridge or kettle

Außergewöhnlich schöner Urlaub

Wir waren vom 27.07.-06.08.2025 in diesem sehr schönen Hotel. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Es war rundum ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Der Start in den Tag begann mit einem sehr abwechslungsreichen Frühstücksbuffet. Im Wellnessbereich konnten wir nach den Wanderungen sehr gut entspannen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Śniadanie: idealnie takie, jak lubię; duży wybór - codziennie to samo, ale ilość proponowanych potraw absolutnie wystarczająca: pieczywo - chleb, bułki (ciemne, razowe, pełnoziarniste, świeże); jajecznica - dobra; boczek - super; szczypiorek; jajka na miękko; wędliny, szynki, sery białe i żółte; pomidorki, papryka, ogórek; melon, pomarańcza, ananas, czerwona porzeczka, winogrono, śliwki, czarna borówka, truskawki, śliwki, brzoskwinie; wybór płatków śniadaniowych - mleko ciepłe, zimne, jogurt; orzechy włoskie, słonecznik, suszona śliwka, siemię lniane, pestka dyni; napoje: kawy z ekspresu ciśnieniowego i przelewowego; wybór herbat, woda, soki; Sala śniadaniowa - wyjątkowa! Tzw. Obsługa hotelowa: zaopiekowanie - jak w domu: bez sztywnego i nadętego dystansu; jednocześnie wyjątkowo profesjonalnie z dbałością o każdy szczegół. Lokalizacja: przy wszystkich resturacjach: 30 sekund wolnym krokiem. Widok: pokoje od strony miasta - piękny - na góry i miasteczko. Niektórym przeszkadza dzwon kościelny - mi nie przeszkadzał. Słychać go - bije często, przez cały dzień - ale dodaje miejscowego charakteru (w tym całym sztywnym, bezdusznym skomcercjalizownym świecie biznesu turystycznego). Lokalizacja - na górce tuż nad centrum wsi, ale w zasadzie w samym centrum. Drogi głównej nie słychać. Cicho jest.

Der einzige Mangel war, dass die Vorhänge nicht Lichtdicht waren. Leider hatte ich keine Schlafmaske dabei, so erwachte ich zu früh.

Schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Die Lage ist perfekt, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zum Frühstück konnte man immer einen professionelen Entsafter benutzen.

Die Räume haben keine Heizkörper. Nach einem Tag Ski fahren bei Schneefall ist es unmöglich gewesen die Sachen für den nächsten Tag trocken zu kriegen. Ist uns zu spät aufgefallen, sonst hätten wir an der Rezeption gefragt wie es grundsätzlich gedacht ist.

Bijna perfect!

Positief: De bijna volledig authentieke Oostenrijkse inrichting is gezellig en prachtig. Het diner was elke avond opnieuw zeer smaakvol met voldoende keuze, we kwamen niets tekort! De helft van onze vakantie hebben we besteed aan het skiën op zonnige dagen, de andere helft aan de wandel-tips van het hotel en de sauna. De wellness van het hotel is een aanrader met een grote jacuzzi, sauna, verschillende stoombaden, enz. De luxueuze inrichting van de wellness verdient zelfs één extra ster, vijf sterren dus. Er is geen koelkastje op de kamer maar op verzoek hebben wij er wel onmiddellijk één gekregen! Minder positief: eigenlijk niets. Maar we hadden een kamer op de 4de verdieping en deze was niet authentiek Oostenrijks ingericht, eerder modern hedendaags, en daar misten wij dus de authentieke dennenhouten sfeer. Het balkon op de 4de verdieping was ook gemeenschappelijk waardoor je geen 100% privacy hebt.

Zimmer waren sauber, Bedienung immer sehr flink und aufmerksam

Essen hat nichts mit 4 Sterne Niveau zu tun. Reste vom Essen wurden mehrfach 1-2 Tage später als Suppe oder Soße serviert. Möbel sehr veraltet, Türen waren kaputt (wurden zuvor scheinbar mal eingetreten), Steckdose hing aus der Wand, 1 Matratze war durchgelegen, keine Heizung zum trocknen von Klamotten, Heizung konnte nur auf Anfrage beim Chef wärmer gestellt werden.
