Shocking Experience: Verbal Abuse from the Owners and Staff

Not that much.

The attitude of the owners was simply unacceptable. Christina Pfurtscheller shouted at my wife right in front of the reception desk. She was aggressive, strange, and humiliating, even claiming that she’s “the queen of the hotel.” The implication was that we were her subjects and she could do whatever she wanted. One of the receptionists showed the same terribly unfriendly attitude. This all happened after we complained about misleading information regarding our room. We had booked a room that, in one diagram, appeared to have two toilets. In reality, it had only one toilet and a separate bidet, located at the other end of the room. This made no sense and caused a real problem for us, as we needed the second toilet for our daughter. We were with some friends who also had unpleasant incidents with the staff. One of the ladies from the spa raised her voice about some irrelevant topic, which was both unprofessional and upsetting. At that point we wanted to leave, but since our friends had driven a long way from outside Austria to get there, we decided to finish our stay at Jagdhof. The food has also gone downhill compared to last summer (2024). The previous chef left, and now the kitchen is run by someone new. Unfortunately, the food was poor overall, with some dishes even inedible. On top of that, cleanliness was an issue. The sink had yellow stains, there was mold in the shower cabin, and the toilet had urine marks on it. Finally, some of the waiters provided awkward service, without even a smile. The treatment we received made our holiday a very unpleasant one. Never before have we been verbally abused in a hotel—let alone in a 5-star property that belongs to Relais & Châteaux.

Love love love this hotel.

Second time at this hotel as we returned following our first visit in 2024. Loved the hotel then and loved it even more this time. Amazing spa, incredible food, and a great location in the valley. We got a bigger room than expected which was fantastic. Just a amazing hotel. Staff are really great as well.

My only little request would be for some more modern weights in the gym 😂 But sometimes it's good to use an old school iron bar every now and again lol.

An absolute gem of a place 💞

The attentiveness of the staff was second to none - nothing was too much trouble. The facilities & range of services was also excellent. Big rooms with gorgeous views. Breakfast was divine with the best scrambled eggs we've ever tasted. Would definitely re-visit for longer - 100%.

great food, a wonderful wine collection, lovely and very professional staff. Owners were very friendly and took the time to personnally welcome guests. They asked us if everything was ok after a few days -lovely location for people who wish to ski, walk or just chill - An amazing place, we could not fault it in any way - it was perfect

The hotel is absolutely fine. The Spa is great with external heated pool and jacuzzi, meals are very good, location is also very good for skiing in Stubai Glacier and the bedrooms are big

Everything was great but there was unfortunately a very big issue that happens to me for the first time and makes it very difficult to forgive or ever recover. This hotel, a five-star, premium resort is very money sensitive. 1. I booked a non-refundable room and pre-paid. 2. Unfortunately my wife went through a medical procedure, so I needed to change the weekend. Note tha I never asked money back, I asked: More nights and more rooms in another winter weekend or move to any other weekend in the future even if in low season. 3. Answer was no, no and they even wrote me that I should send to an external insurance! 4. I stay in hotels between private and Company more than 100 nights per Year, I had some incidents before, never an hotel was so inflexible and, in my view, unpolite. 5. Last two things. I had a medical proof that I could have sent and mentioned. I went there with my son and not with my wife that stayed alone so that we do not throw the money away. *** Attention to customers and service is showed in the difficult situations (even in booking they could have checked I am heavy user of premium hotels, and my cancelation rate is almost zero) and for this reason I would say that I would always choose another same category hotel in Austria, and there are so many and so good, where they really care for the customers and no only for their bank account.

Would try the spa next time without having to stay overnight.

The staff was courteous and amicable.

My husband and I did not use any of the spa facilities so the score is unrelated to them. The bed was too firm for our liking and the pillows were extremely flat. I couldn’t not get them into a shape that would make me feel comfortable, super strange for this caliber of hotel to have such poor quality of pillows and mattress.

The location is exquisite. The view of the glacier mountains from the balcony and as you rest in the warm jacuzzi outside makes this resort the place to stay whilst in Stubaital

Cannot fault anything although I would have like the option of scrambled eggs in addition to the boiled as as part of the breakfast. Maybe I should have asked

Exceptional

This beautiful hotel offers all you need for a relaxing stay. The spa is excellent. The food delicious. The staff is very attentive and ensures they know your preferences. There is a wide range of spa procedures. Most importantly the owner / manager greeted us while we dined aiming to ensure we were having good time and were satisfied with the service and food. This was nice little gesture which is not always seen elsewhere.

Overpriced food and drinks - certainly not the declared "gourmet restaurant". Our table was placed in the middle of the restaurant corridor => 12 people sitting at the space of 10 sq. m... (very bad experience regardless of COVID). Looking at the back of the neighbor from cca 1m distance... Fortunatelly many very good restaurants within the village.
