Being away from home with my man
Nothing about this stay was outstanding. The double beds were fully occupied, and I was expecting at least a queen-size bed. Cleanliness did not meet my expectations, and the room had an unpleasant odor upon arrival. I was placed on the second floor during Valentine’s Day weekend, and the entire floor smelled strongly of marijuana, which made the environment very uncomfortable. Additionally, children were running through the hallways and banging on doors, creating excessive noise and disruption. Overall, this hotel has significantly declined in quality.

The pool
The tv needed an update, so the was no guide to know what channel was showing what. They could have a backup paper guide to help the guest out. I was told that I needed to request housekeeping 24 hours in advance if I wanted my beds made. The front desk told me that I might get the beds made, otherwise I could have them done the next day, which was the day we checked out. She also said it was stated at the front desk and on the elevators. I read the postings, and nowhere did it state a 24 hour noticed was needed. We went for the pool, TV, and clean beds.

Fair price for the quality of the room
Not enough luggage carts (just 3) and guests take it into their rooms the night before and don't return it until they check out. Yeah, I know that's rude, and it's hard to catch them.
Hotel needs to invest in two carts for each of the 6 floors or attach online trackers, so that the front desk can call the rooms and ask for them to be returned especially for offending guests that hog the carts all night or keep them for multiple hours in the mornings.
This is a common issue where you have to lug your luggage, gifts, boxes, and anything heavy without a cart in this hotel.
If you travel light, good for you!
Three carts for 180 rooms is clearly not enough !

This place was clean, quiet and conveniently located near restaurants, freeway access . It was also an attractive property. They had a free hot breakfast but we didn’t stay for it so can’t rate it
The bathroom was way too small and cramped. My husband stubbed his toe on the door trying to get out of the bathroom as the toilet and door are too close to each other. You literally had to stand over the toilet to get out of the way of the door to open it

I booked a king room on a high floor but when I arrived that’s not what I was given. I was told there were no more high floor rooms available because everyone else had checked in and they didn’t see that in the system. They tried to give me a room on the second floor but I did not accept it and was given a room on the third floor instead.

I recently stayed at HYATT PLACE CHICAGO LOMBARD/OAK BROOK. And my experience was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and valued. The check-in process was smooth and friendly, and every team member I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable.
The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed — from soft bedding to a relaxing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything fresh and clean during my stay.
The amenities were fantastic! I especially enjoyed the pool, the breakfast buffet, or the view from the balcony]. The location was also perfect — close to everything I wanted to see and do, yet peaceful and quiet when I needed to rest.
What truly stood out was the hospitality. Everyone was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about guests’ experiences. It’s rare to find that level of service these days, and it made all the difference.
I would absolutely recommend Hyatt Place Chicago- LOMBARD /OAK BROOK anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great service. The manager was super nice! I can’t wait to come back!

The Late night desk management is always high quality with terrific customer service. The cleaning crew also works very hard, because many large families with young children are a bit messy, but you wouldn't know it, as they keep cleaning, cleaning cleaning.

The convenience and the free breakfast was good
Really nothing bad to say only issues was I was put on a floor with a lot of kids that was running and knocking on people doors and I ask to be moved and one of the house keepers came into my room while I was in there,

The location was perfect
The pool area looks nothing like the pictures on your website. The rooms were very dirty. It smelled musty when we walked in and my granddaughters feet were dirty after walking in the carpet for 2 hours. Last morning that we were there, my granddaughter told me she saw a spider however it’s going to be a centipede and we saw a second one on the wall very disappointed in a Hyatt facility

The rooms was really dirty, the bedsheet was not clean and smelled like sweat and dirty feet. When we addressed the issue with the stuff at the front desk, they told me that the cleaning is not included for my 6 days stay, which is really weird three star hotel, and more over it needs to be pre booked, for a $1000 per 6 days stay, It was really unpleasant stay nothing more can be said. I believe the stuff that was in charge of cleaning/changing the bedsheet has put the dirty one instead of clean one. I smelled the dirty feet impregnated smell from a previous tenant on the bed from unchanged bed sheets. Why I was treated like this and stuff didn’t give the heck about?..
Breakfast: it seems like the hotel is really proud of its breakfast: it was really annoying when stuff started interrupting my breakfast by asking if I’m enjoying it when I haven’t even done the first bite. Also the breakfast was really bad, the only healthy option in the menu for the breakfast was boiled eggs and limited fruits like bananas and apples. Nothing else was really worth of mentioning.
Again there start hotel served breakfast on disposable one time used dishes, yuck.
The overall rooms musk was coming from smelly carpet, that was so old and dirty. The room lacked the proper air-conditioning. It was set to 60F and it barely cooled the room to 76 F. It was suffocating with all the aroma and smell of badly used room.
The hotel needs renovation, smells cleaning chemicals and unpleasant the moment you enter the hotel, everything inside the room looks beaten up and in a bad conditions.

Room 127-Unclean, room was pretty sticky and dirty, stains all over floor, couch, ottoman. My window was cracked open, wouldn’t close completely and didn’t lock. Domestics in the parking lot late into the early morning. Could only sleep off and on between midnight and 4 am.

The Room had a real bad odor. No laundry onsite. You had to request for your room to be cleaned and give them 24 hours noticed. You shouldn't have to request for your room to be cleaned if you are staying more than 3 days. Breakfast was the same every day! I just expected more for a HYATT considering the cost.

We reserved a room for 5 people with 2 queen bed an a sofa and they gave us a room with just one bed and the sofa, they didn’t have more room available and at the end they just gave us a rollaway bed. The sofa and that bed were very uncomfortable. The breakfast was poor quality, messy and they didn’t refill the food often.

Super cute entrance. The whole place was super clean. They seem to take pride in the up keep of this hotel and it shows. I appreciated seeing management jump in where needed. Seen him working the front desk as well as working other areas. I love seeing people in higher positions helping in the other areas, lets me know they truly care about the business.
