We love this property. And the staff is nice.
We had our dog with us. The fee is 100$ which is too much. It used to be less. Our dog makes no messes and is short haired. Someone else at the pool said they wouldn't stay again cuz of their pet fee.
Also the pools are not hot enough during the winter. No one was in the large pools. Cuz 82° is too cold in the winter. The 3ft pool temp is just barely enough.
Other pools in the area offer warmer temps for their pools. We have stayed here for 4 years, but may look elsewhere next time.

Very nice and clean property with nice pools and restaurant.
The dog policy was never made clear. I was shocked and appalled to get charged $100 upon check in, when I was exhausted after several hours of driving and it was too late to cancel without being charged. This is an exorbitant fee and it was never made known prior to my arrival. The front desk staff tried to blame it on the fact that I booked through ‘a 3rd party’ but I have booked other hotels through 3rd parties for years and never had this problem. I would not return for this reason.

The mineral pool areas are nice.
The property is really two properties. One is newly built. The area we stayed in was a run down motel. The parking lot was full of potholes and crumbling, the walkway was narrow, chipped and had peeling paint. There were two large metal storage units. The landscaping was unkempt. The rooms are 10-20 yards from an apartment complex without any separation. The part of the property we stayed in screamed neglect.
The rooms are motel rooms - paper thin walls, old plumbing. They’re decorated like campers but lack practical necessities like hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels and swimsuits or shelving in the closet needed because the bathroom is tiny. The room does have a hula hoop, though (???). We felt ripped off at $300 per night and won’t return even to stay in one of the newer nicer rooms. Oh, and a resort like that should have a fitness center.

Great location and ample size pool. Restaurant on the site is good.
The heaters in the room were too loud during the night.

The pools were nice! The bathrobes in the robes. Loved having access to the bikes. Location was great - close enough to the city center but far enough to be away from the business district.
This is typical of post covid travel but the lack of clarity of when rooms get cleaned, etc
Wish the pools were open before 8 am.

Room was near housekeeping, I could hear what sounded like a washing machines early morning.

I liked the pools and the amount of space. Location in Calistoga was beautiful.
The price was very high for few amenities. We only received complimentary pool and bike access. No one came to clean the room unless I asked. Very antiquated air system in the rooms, felt stuffy all day after using the shower.

Location and pools. People were great and bike rental.
Dirty, a trash bag filled with trash in front of our room for almost the whole time we were there. Black dirt on the furniture in front of our room. Until I complained no one even did anything. Then the night manager cleaned it himself.

Beautiful location, lovely design in central areas of the hotel and in premier rooms.
Good quality food in restaurant for extra cost.
Nice free yoga session on Sunday morning.
Glass of rose on arrival.
Very loud noise from adjoining room. The adjoining door to another room (with other random guests) allowed all noise through. No fault of the next door guests but we couldn’t sleep for hours just because they were in their room talking.
Area around the adult pool smelled of strong cheese or sewage alternately. Awkward fence between adult pool and hot tub (which is billed as over 18s only but there were small children in there when we went in)
No breakfast included option.
Would assume it would have a smartTV for the price.
And finally the room wasn’t ready when we arrived for check-in (after check-in time) and on our departure day we were knocked on by housekeeping at 9:30 to remind us to check out(?) felt rude and rushed. A very expensive stay for this kind of service and these issues.

Loved everything except the restaurant needs alot of work. Service EXTREMELY slow even for coffee. Food menu items not very tasty. Chose your place because there was restaurant on site, so bummed about that.
Everything about restaurant. See above.

It's a great location and has nice pools and hot tub.
The rooms are clean. Parking is convenient.
The floorboards in those rooms need repair or replacement. It's very loud when you walk in the room. You can hear people in the other rooms walking. The rooms need to be soundproofed. Unfortunately I hear the couple next door arguing which was stressful.Reception staff told me those rooms were scheduled to be remodeled.
I tried to talk to the manager about the problems in the room. I called multiple times but he did not return my call or acknowledge my concerns. I'm disappointed with the lack of response from the manager.

Location
Nice hotel but the walls are very thin and you hear everything that happen above and around your room. The pool is nice bit there are just a few sitting/laying possibilities. Food and drinks from other guests aren’t clean often from the pool area.

Great location, pleasant employees, but they did not address those standing in line while they waited on others. Beautiful pools, lounges around pools, bar and food at pool. A very fun and lovely place! It was a great location for mud baths, wine tasting, hiking and the cruiser bikes were icing on the cake to ride on the bike trail.
Not addressing those standing in line waiting for others to check in or out. For example, "Are you just leaving your key, Did you have a quick question?" Or just to say that they will be right with us.

Location of motel is good. It's fairly quiet with countryside around it. The new apartments next door aren't noisy but I had an end room and the lights from the apartment building were very bright at night. A blackout curtain on the end window would help diminish the lights.
The grout in the shower especially near the wall needs to be cleaned with bleach. There's mildew in the grout. Otherwise room was clean.
Room 120 has a view of a large bin and messy-looking construction blue tarps, etc. This should be cleaned up. This debris also uses up several parking spaces which might be needed.

The rooms are a little bit outdated and dirty. We were staying in one room on the main floor and the floors have seen better days. I wonder if it was a room reserved for dogs? The carpets/floors need a deep cleaning.
Staff was very friendly and efficient, and we spent most of our day outside, so it was a great experience all in all. But I'm glad I got the room dicsounted because if I had to pay full price for that, I would not have been happy.
The floors of the room and the bathroom were old and not very clean. I don't think they use vacuums to clean these rooms, they was dirt/debris on the floor when we got the room.

Such a cool little spot with great pools and design.
I think I was in the older part of the hotel, rooms felt a bit empty but still nice.

Parking was easy. Staff in the spa were nice. Nice bar and Restuarant. Didn't eat there but looked nice. Had a nice outdoor seating area with fire pit. Pools were heated.
Motor lodge was a long walk from downtown on a busy street (felt like a highway). Do NOT get a room near the street (200) range. Was like a NASCAR track outside of the room all night long. Walls between rooms are paper thin and rooms are outdated. Did not have any wash clothes in room when we checked in. For the price you pay you're better off spending more and closer to town.

The gardens are lovely and peaceful, and the bed was comfortable.
We stayed here a little over a year ago and liked it well enough that we booked it again, but the property has gone way down hill. The hot tub is apparently permanently broken (and weirdly boarded up) (we knew it was broken when we booked, but assumed that a spa hotel would have it fixed by a month later, but I later read reviews saying it's been broken since last July!); the pool was full of leaves our first afternoon; the shower flooded our bathroom every time we showered; the door opened into the toilet (and shower) so even as small people, each of us could barely fit in the bathroom. For the same price as super nice places down the road, this is not worth it.

Cute retro motor lodge with nice looking restaurant on site. The pool was nice and the room was large. Nice robes were provided. Beds and pillows were comfy. I like that you are dog friendly even though I had no dog. Pool was nice.
The bathroom tub/shower tile was in desperate need of grout cleaning. A lot of black mold and soap scum was on the grout and behind the sink. The toilet seat was super worn and in need of replacement. Walls were in need of paint touch up and the carpet was stained. The price was too much for these types of problems. For the price, I expected very clean and luxurious. Retro is great but not dirty and worn. I was really disappointed. I manage a bed and breakfast and I would be embarrassed if my rooms looked like this. I would rate this a 2 vs 4 star motel.

Excellent staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Free beverages for your room. The property has a nice courtyard by the pools. Loved the lighting in the courtyard. It poured rain both days but the pool was open and being used. Bikes were also available for free to use. The interior design was spot on.
The shower only had a half glass door but it was still nice.

The hot tub was out of order and the pools were not hot enough. My wife swam for a while but the water wasn't warm enough for me. The whole trip was to get into warm water.

We come here all the time. Mainly for the pools.
Jacuzzi under construction. Would have been nice to know this. Wouldn’t have booked. Room was facing the road. Lots of noise in the early morning hours.

Calistoga itself is a charming NorCal town, and the Motor Lodge & Spa did not disappoint. Great location, lovely rooms.
Rates felt a little higher than expected — even booking in advance. Know Napa is a desirable location and prices reflect that, but was still a lot.

It has a nice charm to it! The pools were great! The spa was excellent. We had an amazing massages by Genevieve and Mac
My husband and I arrived on a Friday night and just walked into our room for a quick minute because we had dinner reservations we were running late for. Immediately when we walked into our room we noticed it smelled bad and musky. We were surprised by the location of our room it was all the way at the end of the lodge and oddly there was a shipping container right outside the window and a couple of others too, the bathroom was very small and had a shower curtain that didn’t look right. We went to dinner and when we came back we decided to go ask at the reception desk if we could please move. Allison was very helpful and moved us to another room right above the restaurant however we were charged to “upgrade”. The room had 2 queens which we decided to settle for since we definitely did not want to stay in the first room. The room was much better however there was loud music playing ALL night coming from the restaurant :( it was very hard to sleep. The second night was much better! Inside our room the coffee pot did not work and was leaky, and the speaker didn’t work either :(
I am a huge fan of a hot tub but unfortunately the hot tub was out of service as well as the sauna.

Nice room.
The TV and WiFi didn’t work but they tried to fix it.
They hadn’t taken onboard our request for a quiet room on an elevated floor at all.
