The location was fantastic.
The bathroom shower was filthy. There was hair inside the shower and it wasn’t mine or my family’s.
The room definitely could use an update and where was the microwave?

Our room was clean and passed my ultraviolet light test. The breakfast was delicious and the choices were plentiful. We were there for the high school band competition and the hotel was a comfortable walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium.
When our room was "cleaned" the cleaning staff did not do a good job when making the bed. The sheet remained wrinkled and they did not "shake" the bedding before making the bed because the crumbs from the chips my husband ate before we left the room were still on the sheets of the made bed.

I like the location being within walking distance of all the destinations on our itinerary.
Door looked like it had been broken into previously but we brought it to management’s attention and they were very receptive and proactive.

Everything! We were in town for a Fever game and it’s very close to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Second time staying here and it was fantastic! The artwork and blow glass lighting fixtures in the lobby and bar are amazing!

Clean. That is about it.
I requested a cot two months in advance of check-in. When my friend and I arrived, they told us they ran out of cots. There was no communication from the hotel that they wouldn’t honour my request. It took multiple requests to get spare bedding so I could create a cot on the floor. An elevator was out the entire weekend of Gen Con, creating long waits to go up to our suite. The check out was ridiculously long. Just really bad service that didn’t justify the ludicrously expensive price. I will be warning all my everyone I know not to stay at the Alexander. I certainly won’t be staying here in the future.

Close to Gainbridge Arena
Our booking was for a room with a King Bed and a Sofa Bed. There was no Sofa Bed, so we had to get a roll-away. Check-in took forever as they didn't seem to have a room for us. We had the valet park our car, but when we requested it back in the morning, one of the valets had taken the key to the box home, so they didn't have access to any car keys. We had to wait 20 minutes for our car.

Dated hotel but clean and comfortable. Empty bedroom fridge. Not expected for paying 700$ for one night.

Hotel was in a convenient location
The hotel did not have my reservation I made through booking.com. When they gave me a room it was already occupied with a half dressed man lying on the bed. The next room had lights that did not work and even when I told the front desk they weren’t fixed.

The property was extremely poor in the rooms, they were very tired and poorly light and extremely expensive
The rooms, the bathroom , bath sheets, beds, cracked mirrors , poor lighting

The location
The cost for only one night was crazy, couldn't watch tv as we couldn't get it to work.

location. cleanliness. artistic flair. valet.
first night we arrived at 8pm. had to rush to have supper before Nesso closed and we were rushed by the staff. noise was very loud in our room from the bar until 11pm. next afternoon we felt like appetizers at 2:30 before we headed to the concert and were told it was not open until 3pm. that night after the concert and we had returned to the premises at 11:20pm there were no options to eat on site or anywhere within walking distance of the hotel. we feel there was a miss by management that not enough preparation was made to accommodate guests that were in town for the George strait concert and the hours that the concert was going to be.

Great location and very clean
It was so loud all night. There was clicking noises constantly. You could easily here people and cars and motorcycles from the room.

Booked the junior king suit, air didn’t work so got moved to a queen room. Totally fine but I still
Was charged full price. I should have only been charged for a queen room not the jr suite!

Beautiful hotel and great location from Lucas Oil Stadium
The price on the expensive side plus parking was extra.

Beautiful arts hotel. Nice rooms, clean, comfy beds, great walkable location in Indy by all the sports stadiums and has great food options nearby.
Front desk staff a little unwelcoming but they were definitely tired and stressed from all the check-ins for the eclipse weekend!

The staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The location was great.
The food was unfortunately terrible. The room didn’t have a Smart TV and only a few channels when it was working. The bathroom sink filled up unless you removed the plug entirely and it had poor/old touch up repairs. Just wasn’t an ideal time when I was looking for a staycation.

Room was really spacious and nice. In general the hotel looks nice and is in a good location.
Staff at the restaurant (plate) is really unfriendly!! Also, it was a quite cold night and the heating was super loud in the room.

The bartender in the late evening was very friendly and we truly enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and seeing the Indianapolis skyline. The room was very comfortable, although having to leave your room key in a slot by the door just to operate the lights was a little annoying.
Most hotels of this size have fairly large reception desks. This hotel only had two desks with only one person working, both at check in and check out. The line for check out in the morning was very long. After we left the checkout, we went to the breakfast area just to get iced coffee. We waited 20 to 30 minutes to finally get that coffee. My daughter had already ordered it while I was trying to check out, but since there was only one person working in the restaurant, we had to wait and wait. We started to walk away because we had to leave and then suddenly the guy behind the bar found the time to make the coffee right then and there.
