Great stay at the Residence Inn

2nd stay that we've had at this location. We love the location along the canal walk. It is just off the main paths of the city, but is easy to navigate either driving or walking. Comfortable and Quiet!

Well-located, quiet, comfortable place to stay. I would stay here again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I was originally given a first-floor room. When I asked if I could be moved to an upper floor (so that my windows did not look directly onto parking lot), the person at the desk immediately changed me to a third-floor room. Room was plenty big and very clean; I appreciated the kitchenette with glasses and mugs (among other kitchen equipment), and the table for eating and the couch. The hotel in general seemed very quiet. Except for faint noise of a tv, it was silent on my floor. Loved the location downtown on the canal path. The breakfast was well-prepared and good quality. Eggs were fluffy, oatmeal wasn't overcooked or glutinous. I appreciated having yogurt and fruit, and the option of Udi's gluten-free muffins.

The decor is a bit dated, although I don't really care about that. The toilet ran, so I had to jiggle the handle after using it, not a big deal.

Nice view and location

I loved the location!

The room was a little rough around the edges. For example bad touch up work in the kitchen and bathroom. Sink was leaking in the kitchen the shower was not the best either. Also had an issue with me paying early through the booking.com app which the hotel didn't see on there end. I was asked about it at check in and when I checked out.

Beautiful view! Super sweet staff. Close to everything. The bed was SO comfy. Breakfast was yummy. Room was clean!

I would recommend this location for any activities along the Canal. It was nice to walk places.

The main hotel check in guy and night time maintenance employee were excellent. They were friendly and allowed me to ask questions with which they answered. The suite was amazing. My husband likes to stay up late watching TV. The bedroom has a door. This allowed me to go to bed before him.

The check in lady stated she was new. She was not able to answer all my questions. I feel if she did not know the answers she should research and get back to the Guest.

It was a pleasant experience!

It was very close to downtown and the parking area was big and close to the front doors. Overall it was a great experience!

The elevator took a long time to come around sometimes. If there were stairs to the second floor that would make things easier to get up and down.

1. There was roaches in the room. 2. This is the second stay after a very uncomfortable sofa bed last stay. Gave a second chance and this time encountered roaches. 3. Nevaeh seemed annoyed by my concerns and stated that the GM would call me. It has been greater than 48 hours and I have not received a call. 4. I never asked, but no offer of bug spray, free parking, discount on room, or even a cold soda. She did however, say we may be able to add points to your membership.

City sounds for a night.

Ease of access and the views of the canal. Breakfast was amazing too! We enjoyed eating on the deck over looking the canal and listening to the city noise. We are rural, so to us it was awesome to hear all the crazy!

Convenient for our needs to the weekend except for the road construction everywhere in the area.

For my purposes, the location was excellent: I had no car, and almost everything I needed was within comfortable walking distance. The room was utterly generic, but comfortable enough, and almost everything worked properly.

At the end of a VERY long work day, I inquired about late check out for the next day, and the pleasant person behind the desk said it would not be a problem. I trusted a note of this would have been made...that trust was sorely misplaced. Cleaning staff began beating down my door at 10 a.m., and continued at hourly intervals until I left, ruining my remaining hours of sleep. Naturally, no notation was ever made about my request. Less important--the refrigerator didn't work properly. And the soundproofing between rooms and floors leaves very much to be desired.

Perfect place for a weekend stay in Indy.

Location and accommodations were excellent. Staying on the canal side can be noisy when sleeping from late night walkers from bars being loud. Other then that I have zero complaints and would definitely return.

I’m only rating it a 9 because we had ZERO hot water for our shower. Though no fault to the staff this was a big issue for us as we stayed for a wedding and needed to clean up for that event. My only other complaints were the view of the canal was great but the windows were so extremely dirty we could hardly see out of the smudges on the glass. I would have expected that to be clean often.

The air conditioner leaked Into the living room and ned room. We had a book bag on the floor in the bed room that got wet. We had paper shopping bags in the living room that got wet. I told the young man at the front desk when I check out. That needs to be fixed. We had wet items.

Caution

To the eye visually appealing inside room, expect the floor and shower floor.

Bedbug bite after room was heated from a 66° initial room temperature. Felt like there were things crawling on me as room heated up. Then felt bite red bump on my calf. I spent most of my time in my vehicle until i decided to check out at 12:50 a.m. at front desk. I was asked by desk employee did i want the the check out time to say 5:00 a.m. i stated no, check me out now. I told the desk employee, I was bitten and i felt like i was being crawled on, employee shrugged it off. I recieve my bill by email. It stated i checked out at 5:00 a.m. and i was charged for a full stay on my bill. I called hotel to speak with a manager and was told: Even if you check out early you are charged for a full day. I told this manager about my experience and she said they would call pest control, but no patial refund What i didn't tell manager is i have video of my bite and the room.

Welcoming And Friendly

I was allowed to check in early. My suite was clean. It was a mini apartment. When you walk in look up at the tv in the sitting room/living room. There's a personalized message welcoming you to the suite. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was actually hot and delicious.

The people over me stomping on the floor which I'm aware isn't their fault. I think it must be a universal feature of all hotels that sometime during the night the air goes off. I went to sleep freezing. I woke up sweating and kicking off the covers.
