I pre paid $430 through booking. When I arrived they charged me another $515. Sunday morning January 18th I was charged another $215. When I asked about the transactions I was told it was an accident and there was nothing they could do.

Turn off that AWFUL pop music in the background. This too loud and completely distasteful . Consider peaceful classical. I didn’t order dessert because u just couldn’t stand it any longer.,

I wish the shower was better and the room a little bigger but otherwise a very nice stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay there again.

The front desk charged me twice.. it was just weird I told him and showed him it’s pre- payed through booking.com . He asked for my credit card and then charge my account again.. now it’s gonna take 7 to 10 days hopefully to go back on my account. Then when I went to my room, I was tired and hungry and there was no brim service where they told me they had room service. I called twice no answer., then called the front desk and they acted like I was being a nuisance when all of this was all their fault. They said a person would contact me, but no one ever contacted me.. I ended up leaving the hotel because it was such bad service. I would never say if this hotel again.

Quite a long way from anywhere of interest. Parking is expensive unless you join the rewards scheme (it's free so why not) at which point you may well be able to negotiate it being free.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. It is a newer property, and you feel safe and comfortable there.
Self park is $35 a day and valet $42 which is ridiculous. This property is in an office park and not as close to the beach as the map shows. There are no views or anything that would command $35 self park fees. In addition, they charge for WiFi.

What really put me off was the one sever on early on in the evening. My partner was having a beer I hadn’t decided on a drink yet , when she came back we asked for dinner menus which she gave to us and left to serve others , she was quite busy so after 10 minutes I went to the bar to order two drinks … she stormed over and told me off telling me she was my server and i’ll get into trouble if I go to the bar! She was very rude and if I hadn’t ordered drinks i would have left

I paid for a double room, front desk kept insinuating for a king room when I knew I was revamping with family. Kept going back and forth for 20 mins until I showed them confirmation they had said no availability then magically there was.

I booked more expensive option with the lounge access; however, we were told that their lounge is closed in weekends and given breakfast tickets instead, which was worth $20 per person, which was less than the premium we paid for the lounge access.
The service was very slow.I had to wait for my continental breakfast over 30 minutes.
Overall, they did not deliver the value for $390 per night at all.

I had a long stay at the Marriott and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. I was staying there on my own and the minute the staff realised that, they made me feel at home and no ask or request was too big or too small. The rooms at the Marriott are modern, spacious, clean and housekeeping do an excellent job every day. The location is also perfect and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Serena on the front desk reception - she is the prime example of exceptional customer service. She is a 10/10 across the board - you won't find anymore more friendly or helpful. If I ever go back to Del Mar, I know that I will be staying at the Marriott. Thank you to all the staff there for making my stay so enjoyable and pleasant, I really appreciated it!

The location in Del Mar is good. It also seems to be fairly newer or recently remodeled.
Dirty, dirty, dirty. Dust and pets hair everywhere on the surfaces, on the floor, under the beds, human and pets hair interwoven in the rugs by the bed. Customer service is lukewarm. When arrived, although I had already prepaid for the entire stay, they took my card again but didn't explain what for. Had to call to find out why they took additional money from me. They seem nice but absolutely careless. I had to leave the premises 2 hours after checking in due to pets hair causing an allergic reaction. Took 4 days to get a refund because of lack of understanding from Marriott of how to handle a third party refund. Aside from finally granting the refund, they did NOTHING to comp the time I lost, the fact that they ruined my family weekend, and the inconvenience their carelessness caused. The worst hotel experience of my life (and I have traveled extensively because of my job. I had recently stayed at a La Quinta by Wyndam for the holidays that, despite being a 3 star hotel, absolutely blew them out of the competition in cleanliness, comfort, and customer service. NEVER AGAIN.

- No business center in such a hotel. Just one computer and printer no room ! So i had to have my meetingnin the wc in the morning not to wake up anybody!
- breakfast was weird. They managed to bring the eggs in egg benedicth cold. There must be special effort for that //
- if you book from booking.com, they are placing you the worst rooms ever facing rusty air condioning units with a lot of noise!

staff were very helpful and pleasant. the location is good in the middle of San Diego. i wish there was an option of breakfast with the room in booking . parking is 30$ a night but worth it as it’s secure.
our last night they forgot to clean our room we came back late and complained they gave us another room to sleep in and kept our luggages in the old room that was the compensation of forgetting to clean out room which was great .
