Clean, convenient good value with excellent breakfast

Convenient location, walkable to retail, restaurants and UCSD (although along a busy road). The included daily breakfast was excellent with lots of variety- including rice and kimchi, eggs, potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, etc. The staff were so kind and helpful

Dated rooms, first room was on main road and very noisy but they kindly moved us.

Close to UCSD

I had a scheduled medical procedure at UC San Diego Health, and the location of this Residence Inn was perfect - only about a 10-minute drive to my appointment. The location was very quiet and overall comfortable.

My one complaint is for the sofa/sleeper in our unit. While we didn't use it to sleep on, it was extremely uncomfortable to sit on while watching TV.

Booking.com ripped me off and is refusing to refund me a full refund even after the property fully credited me back for

The property was old and run down there were people living there the room was dirty with stains on bed and furniture and a really bad smell of mold and urine and it was hard to breathe in the room it was so bad the neighbors said the property was full of criminals and people on drugs and you could see people hanging out. It felt very unsafe and I requested a refund because I could not stay there I was afraid and it was disgusting in the room the hotel gladly credited me the full amount for the two days BUT booking.com stole my money and even though the property fully credited me booking.com is refusing to refund me the full amount. I will be disputing it and filling any and all formal complaints to the BBB etc and will never use booking.com again.

Nice location with a comfortable bed.

The grounds were clean. The bed was comfy. Fully stocked kitchen. The room was very clean. A little shop to buy things we forgot. Breakfast was good.

The jacuzzi was filthy and our room was out of hair conditioner.

The friendly staff really made the stay.

The bed was very comfortable with good quality sheets and pillows. Water was instantly hot and good pressure. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Gym was adequate for a hotel. Breakfast was great.

Super minor compaint. Dixie cups start leaking after a minute or so. Switch to the little plastic ones in the gym so we don't have to use a new cup each time. Although maybe 5 Dixie cups are better for the environment than one plastic, not sure. Also a couple bottles of water in the fridge would have been a nice touch.

I wasn’t really aware that larger rooms that accommodate more… are upstairs with no elevator. While it’s great for big families, it’s harder for anyone with mobility issues. We were accommodated with a change quickly and I appreciated that.

Nice place, convenient location, friendly and helpful staff.

Clean spacious studio and while not fancy, it was updated nicely with everything I needed. Also the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was breakfast. Didn’t see any oj (maybe they were just restocking) and no pastries, although there was one bagel left. The eggs were good, potatoes fine. And the oatmeal didn’t look great. But I was fine with everything just not wowed.

The stay at Residence Inn was nice and will stay there again!

The breakfast was great, I loved the variety of choices there were to choose from! The staff was always nice and courteous as they greeted guests as they arrived with a cheerful good morning. They also checked periodically to make sure all breakfast items were refilled so guests wouldn't have to wait and I also loved that if you came a little late, you could still grab you some breakfast and take it out if you didn't have time to eat!

I didn't like the whole mix-up that my son was told by a staff member that his name was not listed on my reservation, therefore he was not given entrance to the hotel room! My son had just moved out of his dorm at UCSD, got dropped off at Residence Inn by a college friend and had to stand outside on the street with all his belongings until I returned! I don't understand how his name was not listed, when it was showing in my reservation! Someone told him I needed to verify who he was and when I tried, I still couldn't get help! My son was left standing outside until I returned to the hotel! We have been guests at Residence Inn several times since my son started UCSD in 2021! He even stayed there for months when UCSD experienced that over enrollment of freshmen students, and did not have adequate on campus housing. This was so not right and I hope we can count on better services in the future!

Not going back again, horrible place. Needs big revamp

We went for a big room so got two large beds. Fridge was big, and location was good as it was in the prime location. Nothing else was great

almost everything. We had large suitcases and had requested for a ground level room but did not get it. Still did not mind but overall the whole place needs massive upgradations. It is very worn out, bed was horrible, bathroom faucets are old and don't work well, water is leaking, the tub is a hazard - needs to be changed ASAP. Got a big cut due to the tub and it's slippery as well. our dishwasher did not work and laundry machines were horrible. The parking is also a problematic. In fact, our room door did not even shut properly. It was completely jammed. We stayed for 3 nights but avoided the complimentary breakfast because limited options and were not great as well. The rush was crazy even during the early hour. The whole place needs a big revamp! No value for money and would not return back.

Large spacious family suite with 2 full bathrooms were a plus. Plenty of parking. Proximity to shops , attractions and restaurants. Very quiet property. Very attentive and professional staff.

The rooms were spacious and quiet. The place was decently cleaned. The pool and spa was enjoyable.

Worthwhile Stay at Convenient Location

The room was a good size for our needs and I liked that it has a full kitchen. I was able to find parking close to our room and grateful that we got a room on the ground floor (no stairs to climb with all our stuff). The breakfast was plentiful and staff attentive to cleaning and ensuring the area was pleasant and well maintained. Overall it was a very good visit.

The weather was very humid. While I used the AC in the room, it also felt a bit humid in the room. Not sure there's much they can do about that. So not really a "ding" against the hotel.

I world stay there again, we always stay there when we're in that area

Breakfast was good, had a lot of variety. I was amazed with the waffle station and fresh coffee through the day.

I know you can't help it but parking was limited. But it was a good experience
