Basic, no frills hotel.

Our room was very roomy and clean. We had a queen bed with accessible bathroom facilities. I liked very much that there was a parking level on our room level #1.

Breakfast was disappointing. The coffee was lukewarm, scrambled eggs were bland and watered down, sausage look was not appealing. The fresh yogurt was tasty though. OJ too watered down. Important - please note that when we took a shower, the water spray went out into the room, even with the curtains closed. That made getting out of the shower very slippery and dangerous. Lots of trash on the street when leaving the facility was not appealing.

The pool was freezing. The hot tub was broken too maybe three days and at the breakfast there is no bacon or waffles or pancakes.

The hotel room, location, amenities and night staff were great! I didn't have time for a jacuzzi due to closing hours, but tried to extend my stay for the purpose of using the spa for my old bones- but had trouble and was unable to stay. but I'd stay again under the right circumstances

the cooperation with day staff and less complication with reserved status. the hotel itself was all around awesome- but my stay was interrupted and cut short due to staffing difficulties with billing issues

I had such a great experience at La Quinta! From the moment I checked in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, they made me feel right at home. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The bed was cozy, the water pressure was perfect, and everything felt fresh and well taken care of. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in town! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. 💛

Jacuzzi and they had a hairdryer, conditioner, shampoo, moisturizer, clothes iron, hangers, a safe for our licensed gun, breakfast, fridge with drinks to buy, microwave and coffee.

Friendly Staff

The staff was friendly, quick to respond, and answered all my questions. They made the visit more pleasant and gave great food recommendations. It was close to the attractions that we went to.

We had the handicap accessible room next to the pool. So it was rather loud till 9:30 p.m. The room was on the 1st floor, so you heard all the traffic on the street. The bed was rather hard. Would have liked more protein options for breakfast other than egg.

The refrigerator that was in the room didn’t keep things very cold and there was also no freezer so we couldn’t keep things frozen like we assumed we could from previous experiences with hotels in the area Also, when taking a shower, the pressure was extremely low along side with the temperature either being freezing or extremely hot. The shower area was also quite dirty.

The rooms were clean and updated. The pool and hot tub were clean. Great laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers for guests. Decent breakfast. Great location! Close to the beach, shopping and food. The staff were friendly especially Patricia who was very helpful. I needed coffee packets at 4am. I work at 5, she gave them to me with no questions. Also just very knowledgeable about the area and so friendly.

Parking was a little hard and the street getting into the hotel was a bit hard to navigate.

Great location, clean rooms……the parking on the other hand…

Well taken care of rooms. Excellent breakfast. Staff was very helpful and great. PARKING is the only issue. While there are a bunch of spaces, seems they used a smart car as their measuring guide. Doesn’t work so well for a pickup truck. Extremely tight parking spaces in their garage. Pool and spa, although very nice, was filled all day long with guests.

PARKING GARAGE. Miniature parking spaces, tiny. You will get your door dinged, guaranteed.

I was glad I chose La Quinta over the other two nearby.

The room was clean and pleasant. The facility, on the whole was pleasant. The breakfast room was good. The front desk gal was courteous, pleasant, and helpful. I had considered nearby hotels that were a bit less expensive but there were some negative comments. I was happy to spend a bit more for the satisfying stay.

The queen sized bed was tall. Me being on the shorter side, it was somewhat difficult to get onto the bed. Accessing the facility was somewhat difficult. Parking was an issue for me. If the front desk level parking was full, it was necessary to drive around the block to access the lower level parking.

Rooms are of decent size and are clean and comfortable

The breakfast was really bad. Very little variety and on top of that when things ran out they never replenished even after complaining their response was quite rude. During most of my stay they didn’t even have bananas or any other fruit except a couple of days. There was no coffee machine where you could get Latte or Cappuccino etc. Just plain black coffee with chilled milk. No whole wheat buns etc. Pathetic.

Easy freeway access

Rude staff Curtains wouldn't shut and lights shined in my eyes at night. Raunchy Canabist around the corner. Expensive for a dive place.

Breakfast was mediocre. Around the corner is "Cannabist" which attracts many unsavory people. The area was not safe to walk in. I had to borrow clips from the desk to keep the curtains closed at night and bright light from shining in my eyes while trying to sleep. A real disappointment for a LaQuinta.

Close to Sea World and Mission Beach. Water pressure in shower was really nice. Bed is Super comfy.

It’s a Mexican run motel with worst behaviour of all employees

It is run by Mexicans and they are very rude to outsiders. Don’t know basic manners. Starting from the front desk, the lady in the breakfast and even the house keeping. They don’t help which is one of the important factors to be in hospitality business. No wonder the rating of this hotel is bad. I was staying for a conference and since downtown was expensive, I was fooled by the brand “Wyndham”attached to this name of the property.
