Clean but sleepless

The staff was nice, everything was quiet. Everything was clean.

The worst part of the stay was the mattress - it was so bad neither me nor my partner could sleep. There were also holes in the drywall, particularly in the bathroom. The furniture was also damaged, like the tv stand had a large gash taken out of the corner of the nightstand.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about things to do in San Marcos. The breakfast was plentiful and a great start to my day. The location was great, just a short drive from HEB or other shopping.

It was fine for a one night stay.

Location was perfect for our needs as it was close to the venue where function was being held. Several restaurants near by with easy access. Room was clean.

Facilities are in need of repair and upkeep. For example our bathroom door did not close properly. The suite should have had two televisions but there was only one in the room. The internet did not always work or buffered.

Great price for a great hotel!

Honestly nothing bad to say! Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The only complaint that wasn’t on them was the neighboring hotel had a pool close to our rm. It was spring break and they were definitely having a great time late at night. Nothing that turning down the A/C to have it constantly going off couldn’t muffle. I would definitely stay again!

The hotel as a whole is extremely outdated. It absolutely needs to be renovated. It's far too expensive for the quality of the hotel. Overall, I will not be staying at this hotel again. Each night when we returned to our hotel, my son commented on how he wishes we were staying next-door at the Hampton. For an additional $34 dollars (across our entire stay) we could have stayed at the Hampton. The cost is too much for facilities such as this. Invest in your property and your clients or cut your rates so we get what we pay for. Save yourself the trouble and just book your stay next-door.

Enjoyed Our Stay

The room was very nice. The beds were so comfortable. I slept with no hip pain, which most mattresses give me.The staff was very helpful and very kind. They took care of all our needs. Close to everything. Great value for our money. It was a peaceful place to stay.

The detergent the hotel uses did not agree with my skin. I broke out in red spots and blotches. I have never had that happen in any other place we have ever stayed. Or it could be the mattress. I don't know. That was the only thing that I was disappointed about. Rash cleared up after we got home.
