The gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice, and gave great recommendations for things to see in Victoria, where to park downtown and was so helpful!

Our electricity flickered quite a bit and it felt like our room smelled of stale smoke from years past.

It was there in a pinch. We booked late when there was nothing else left in the city.

The mattresses were ferm and linens were clean. There were fresh towels in the bathroom. There was an old kitchenette and full size fridge. The manager was very helpful and happy to suggest things to do and where to eat.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke. It was not in the best part of town. Sketchy neighborhood and building. The building and grounds need a lot of updating, everything was old. One of the bed corners was held up with a 4x4 . When it fell off it's perch it was an easy fix!

Decent stay for the price.

The rooms were very outdated, upon arriving I was a little nervous that we would be seeking alternative accommodations based on first impressions. However, the staff who checked us in had a big smile on his face, was very friendly and made check in easy. The rooms may be outdated but they were quite clean and had everything we needed for the night. For the price I would stay again.

Some rooms appeared to be tenanted, people had been there a while based on the states of their rooms (doors were left wide open) and the smells permeating out of them. They had garbage, toilet paper rolls and spice jars littering the area and lots of liquor bottles scattered. Just left an uneasy feeling as we were above them. Given the state of the room below I was concerned about bugs, but there was no evidence of any in our room.

Perfect spot!

Staff were amazing, friendly, and Dennis has a great sense of humour. It’s close to downtown and just off the main roadway. It’s clean, and comfy. We were upgraded to a kitchenette because we booked 5 days there, at no extra cost.

The bed was a little too firm for my liking.

We were looking for a budget hotel that was clean and comfortable,thia was certainly it.

our room was guite large with a kitchen fold down hid a bed we only used it as a couch the bed was very comfortable and the linens were above average. This is a well run clean quite budget hotel all we needed but if you want upscale then this is not it.

Everything went as expected.

The Inn was very simple, but it had everything we needed. It was hot and humid on the night that we stayed there, and I found the air-conditioner a bit too noisy to my liking. The location was good and the private parking was a benefit. Inn keeper was good at keeping the noisy guests quiet at night. Very reasonably priced.

I would like an air-conditioner to be a bit quieter. Everything else was as expected.

I booked via booking.com and wrote an email that night. Whether it was the owner or booking.com, the accommodating arrangement was satisfactory.

Unfortunately, the accommodation was not in the expected condition, which we only noticed around half past nine p.m., when we returned from the excursion, the office closed at 9 p.m.. Some people have already written that „bugs“ can be found in the rooms, unfortunately I hadn't read that, otherwise I wouldn't have booked it!

cheap and cheerful but should have been cheaper in reality

the owner / manager was very helpful as we arrived after 9pm. this was a cheap and cheerful last minute booking to be nearer the ferry for Vancouver so we didn’t have high expectations anyway. we knew it was cheap and cheerful but to be honest at $127 it should have been a bit better than it was. the bedding and towels were all clean and fresh though.

I didn’t feel the door locked properly so didn’t feel secure. we also couldn’t get the coffee maker to work so had to use the microwave to boil water.

Great place!

Read many negative reviews on Google and was totally hesitant to book, but there were not many choices. However this place absolutely exceeds my expectations! The owner/manager is friendly and respectful; room is big with all kind of amenities you could dream for. It’s not luxury but hey this is an economical motel; it’s definitely worth the money.

The room has a little smell probably from the sanitizers. We ran the fan for a few hours and it’s much better.
