Good service, great breakfast, great facilities. Surprised the free drink provision at night for guest chilling. Good location where is in downtown. Recommend to you if you travel the beautiful Victoria, BC.

This hostel is seriously underrated. It is strategically located at the downtown of Victoria and within walking distance to the major tourist attraction like Legislative Assembly of BC, Empress hotel, Chinatown and FanTan Alley. There are quite a number of eateries in vicinity. What really surprised me is that their breakfast spread is indeed impressive and they even provide free dinner and free one glass of beer or wine in the evening. This is indeed surprising to me! I will still give it a 4.5 if not 5 stars!

The place was clean. Multiple private bathrooms with showers on each floor. My only real complaint is that the mattress on the bed was pretty uncomfortable.

we just stay 1 night, after that we check in another hotel eventhough we allready paid for 4 days 3 night here.
1. A very narrow room for two (in the picture it looks big). Mayb they saperate it coz its so small like in pic seems XL size, buat in reality like S size.
2. The room is separated by a thin layer of cardboard from the next room. I can even hear the person in the next room yawning, fart and cough.
3. The dining room and kitchen are very narrow, not enough seating for breakfast time, teribble.
4. The kitchen is also narrow for cooking when many people cooking at same time.
5. The smell of other people's cooking is choking my throat, the smell of cooking can be smelled all the way to the counter.
6. I usually book hostels when I travel but this hostel really suffocates me.
7. so many decorative statues on every wall, I feel like in a temple. I don't like there are idols here and there because this is not a personal house, its a hostel. No need for trivial decorations. What is important is comfort. Even luxury hotels are not bothered with statues at every wall.
8. The weather is cold and their heater is not working. They use old central heater, very uncomfortable sleep in cold. They said they feel warm, no need heater, off couse because they drink alchohol and we not drink alchohol, 11 C was cold for us.
Otherwise, I would not have looked for another place to stay even though I have already paid for 4 days and 3 nights here.
For me,i don't like and not recomended.
